[] "Let's go to Scathach's cabin. We'll lay low for now and observe the situation. Ruler's right, we can't act rashly."

Taking stock of your options, you glanced at your own Servant. Rider hadn't said anything and was merely driving as fast and as far as she could. Her hands were stiff as she simply looked ahead, lost in her own world. You had to decide how this would go.

Still being given the chance to choose by two historical figures wasn't doing well for your tiny ego. They would really let you decide when they obviously knew better? You tried stamping out your feelings and come to a decision.

"Let's go to Scathach's cabin. We'll lay low for now and observe the situation. Ruler's right, we can't act rashly," you decided as you tapped Rider on her shoulder.

Medb jumped a bit before glancing at you. She met your gaze before turning the chariot. Flying through the air, you made your way out of the southern part of the city to the north where Scathach's cabin was.

You held your side and felt your wound sting. It's not healing well wasn't it? You weren't surprised. A wound from Gae Bolg wasn't going to heal normally and Scathach just cut through you with one. But you didn't blame her, you can endure the pain for now.

Berserker's Noble Phantasm was beyond your expectations. It was like you were staring right into the madness of a God gone insane. A fiery Beast out of your nightmares...

Even the black Tyrant Monster from your dreams wasn't that terrifying.

......
.....
....

Scathach offered you her guest room once the four of you had landed. You thanked her while Rider helped you get settled in. Ruler decided to help Scathach to her own room and hopefully heal up what remained of Scathach's arm.

It had been burnt to a crisp by the flames of madness which somehow held traces of Gae Bolg's curse. It wasn't going to heal fast but Ruler wanted to help as much as she could. Your own wound ached as you rested on your bed with Rider seated on the side.

She had a thoughtful look on her face for a few moments before she got up.

"I'll be outside. Just call me if you need me," Rider told you as she walked out the door.

You laid down on your bed and stared at the cabin's ceiling. It's not over yet. You can't let your guard down. You tried pulling up your phone and dial a number. It took a few moments for it to ring before someone answered.

"Brie? Are you okay? We saw the commotion. Do you need help?"

Emiya was such a worry wart.

"Sorry. You guys were too slow. We helped the civilians as much we could. Berserker's..." You faltered as Emiya spoke.

"Lancer managed to beat Berserker back on his own. But not without sustaining great injuries. Saber and I were evacuating Civilians during the time. Brie, we don't have much time left."

"Let me guess. Clocktower?" You asked with a frown.

"Given the scale of the damage and the amount of people involved, they plan on intervening. Preliminary steps have already been set in place by containing the entire region in a Bounded Field."

Fucking Magi and their secrets.

"Brie. This has to end within the week. We can use the Grail to restore everything that was damaged and wipe people's memories."

The Grail?

"We have to work fast. Berserker needs to fall. Afterwards..."

"I... I'll see what I can do. But Berserker needs to go, yeah," you murmured as you looked down at your hands, "What's the Clocktower planning to do?"

"They'll secure the Grail. They're going to be with me. But if we don't meet the deadline on New Year's Eve then the whole region is going to be purged. New Rimeland will be wiped off the map... And I can't allow that."

You were silent at that before closing your eyes, "Right. Try and coordinating with the Church. Ruler's with me now. We can make this coalition official."

"Brie, stay safe, okay?"

"I will. Thanks, Emiya... For everything," you murmured as you hung up.

New year's eve. You have six days.

New Rimeland may not reach the New Year's if Emiya fails. But what of your Wish? What of Medb's wish?

You didn't have the strength to panic. You should talk to the others...

Our next plan should include 3 on 3 hockey in some form. Clearly we can't win a fair fight with these goons.

[X] Talk to Medb. She should be outside.

Well shoot. Everybody on the list is important to check with. Medbs got the whole freezing thing, Shishou has the whole Suicidal thing/a berserk version of her student as well as likely a but of guilt at allowing Cu's aura to affect her. And Ruler has the whole hands tied the entire war and having to be the one to argue disengaging from combat. Also I want fluff with all of them ahhhhhh

[X] Talk to Medb. She should be outside.

Congrats on your character interactions Rabbit, this is unironically the most difficult vote I've faced in the quest.

[X] Talk to Jeanne. You can smell something cooking.

Jeanne's been great this quest, and food interactions. But I mean, I can't lose, all these are things I want to see.

[] Talk to Medb. She should be outside.

You can break the news to the others tomorrow. For now you need to rest up...

At least that was what you thought first.

Getting off your bed, you slipped into your boots before taking your jacket. You put it on and slowly moved to the door. Peeking out you noticed that Jeanne was cooking something in the kitchen while talking to Scathach in the other room. You decided not to leave that way.

Holding your aching side, you moved to the window and opened it slowly. The winter chill caressed your skin as you shivered. You tried not to let it get to you as you stepped out.

Snow crunched beneath your boots before you slowly shut the window. That should delay the inevitable. You slowly walked around the cabin and moved your way to the front. Medb wasn't there. You slowly felt for her presence and found it at the foot of the hill where the cabin was, right in front of the frozen lake.

You decided to move there. Trudging through the snow, you left quite the trail behind you. Medb did too and you easily tracked her down. You found her standing by the lake on her own, wrapped in her fluffy cloak while staring at the empty whiteness.

The moon hung low tonight and the lack of city lights allowed you a good view of the stars. You walked behind her until you stood by her side. Medb blinked before turning to notice you as you smiled her way.

She stared at you before sighing, "You should be sleeping, dummy."

"Well I was. But I couldn't sleep. This thing is hurting me too much," you told her as you looked down your stomach.

Medb turned her gaze down and then looked ahead, "Then you should get some rest. It'll stop hurting soon."

"What's up with you, buddy? Feeling down?" You asked her with a smirk.

"I wasn't able to do anything. That's what I feel," Rider quickly said as she turned her gaze to you, "Happy?"

You were taken aback by this before you scratched your face, "Well, it's not like we could have done much. Isn't that normal? Especially when faced with that sort of thing... What's the matter?"

"He didn't even look at me," Rider murmured as she stared at the lake, "All that time, he was focused on Scathach or Ruler. Not once he looked at me. It was as if I wasn't even worth his time... I... I couldn't even move. It was... Scary."

You looked at how she crouched down and buried her face in her knees. You grimaced before kneeling by her side and patting her shoulder.

"Hey... Medb," you murmured as you rubbed her shoulder.

"I couldn't do anything. I thought I was ready to face him, I thought it'd be like every fight we get into. But... I like him. I really, really do but seeing him like that was just different," Medb said as she sniffled and shook her head, "My feelings. It's like a storm. I'm caught between fearing what he is now and loving what he was before. I don't know what to feel..."

You listened to her as she leaned her head on you. You sighed as you rubbed her head, "Rider..."

"Brie... Why am I like this?" Rider asked as she let out a shaky breath, "Why am I so fucked up?"

"Medb, you're not fucked up. Well I mean you are, but come on. It's not as bad as you think," you assured her as you tried comforting her.

"But I am. Even at this stage, this feeling for him is in deep. I... I don't know what to do," Rider breathed as her warmth spread to your body, "His Anger, his Madness, it's not something my Love can quench."

"What are you truly afraid of?" You asked her in a heavy tone.

"What I'm afraid of... Is losing you," Rider said as she held on to your jacket, her tears falling to the ground, "If you didn't exist and I had a different Master, I would have been overjoyed seeing him like that. But the first thing that came to mind back then... Was my Love and Fear. If he killed you, then I wouldn't know what to do."

You blinked at that as she raised her gaze before you recalled. In that dream, that Medb gave her love to that monstrous version of Cu Chulainn. She had offered him everything and loved him unconditionally, she was happy, cruel and ruthless to be the Queen to a Mad King.

But your Medb was different. She had you. That was enough of a factor to change her, to make her feel fear alongside joy. Medb was always just a shoe drop away from becoming that merciless Queen in your dreams... If she lost you then you don't know what she'll do in her last moments.

She'll vanish but not in a peaceful way. That Evil will surface and burst forth violently.

"If you didn't exist, I... Would have been okay. I wouldn't feel like this," Rider said as she held your arms, "But at the same time, I wouldn't have experienced the last few weeks as I had. Arguing, bantering, snuggling, talking, laughing, crying, I did all with you. You... Who didn't treat me like a Queen or an object of worship. You treated me as someone... As a normal girl. And I hate myself for thinking that I shouldn't have stayed with you. That I couldn't be free to Love Cu, that you existed to make me scared to lose you. I hate it... I hate it!"

Rider's magical energy spiked as she leaned on your shoulder.

"I'm the worst. Some Queen I am... Being swayed this easily. Risking your life for my feelings..." She grabbed your hand and raised it, "So... Please. Order me."

"Rider," you started before she held your hand tight.

"Order me to not freeze up and fight Cu without hesitation. Let me help you... Without messing it up. Take these feelings away, Brie. Or else I'll end up betraying you or even hurting you, I can't trust myself with this," Rider pleaded as she held your hand, "Use your Command Seal."

-[X] "Because I have faith that you will do what needs to be done My Queen. I trust you."

Self reflection must always be done without a mind control tool. Even in best case scenario it usually leads to a Nier-level of tragedy. Worst case scenario, you end up in a hentai plot.

Probably best to write in this option. But I can't come up with anything good so ubtil someone does, I'll just vote for the refusal.
