[X] "Pass me that bottle, I'm too sober to deal with this."
-[X] Realize your Preservation Origin and various Bodily Modifications means you can't get as drunk as this situation requires on the liquor you have left.Shit.
--[X] Try and persuade Nero to go get more booze while you scour the hotel room to see what (if any) resources and tools you brought to Rome besides yourself, and make a few phone calls to gather information. You need to determine just how much booze this particular situation calls for.

In an ironic turn of events that pretty much sums up my past two days

Alright, by my count, the current votes are:

10 for 'Get Drunk.'

9 for 'Get Drunk, and flirt with Waver.'

I'm not sure if that's accurate, though. Can someone confirm those numbers? Once that happens, vote will be locked.

"What I'm thinking," Aaron Gentles replied. "Is that I'm far too sober right now. Pass me the bottle."

The Emperor- Empress?- Nodded, throwing Gentles an unopened bottle, before chugging down another of her own.

Opening his own bottle, Gentles mirrored Nero's actions, chugging the whole thing down in a few seconds. Once he had finished, he threw his bottle toward Nero's pile, at the exact same time the Servant did.

This repeated another nine times, before Gentles began to feel even slightly buzzed.

Curse his Origin of Preservation. Getting drunk was such a pain, when he didn't have access to Bazett's special brew.

"I'm not drunk enough yet." Gentles told Saber. "And judging by precedent, there isn't enough here to get me drunk enough for this."

"How much do your require, Praetor?" She replied, slurring her words slightly. "There's a lot here..."

"I'm not sure yet." Replied Gentles. "But at a safe guess? All the alcohol in the world will just barely be enough."

Nero stood up, and hiccupped as she did so. "I can go get more..." She replied, drunkenly. "The people love me... They'll give me more gifts, if I ask..."

Despite her drunken state, she walked with such grace that you could have mistaken her for perfectly sober.

...How much did it take, to get a Servant drunk, anyway?

No, never mind, a question for later.

For now, there was another twenty bottles of different kinds of beer and wine to drink.

~~~~~
Twenty bottles had been drunk. Saber had yet to return. Gentles was still far too sober for his liking.
Forced to stop his quest to get drunk for a small while, Gentles' thoughts turned to the Grail War.
...What was he going up against, anyway? There was a difference between going against six Alba's, and going against six Dead Apostle Ancestors.
Sure, it was only a different of another hour or so of getting drunk, but it was an important one.
Pulling out a phone, Gentles briefly considered who to call.
Who did he know that would keep a tab on the Grail War, wouldn't participate, and had a number he could remember while half-drunk?
After a moment's consideration, he dialled up Lord El-Melloi the Second.
As always, the Magus answered quickly.
"Hello, Lord El-Melloi." Gentles answered, trying to hide how drunk he was.
"The Second. Lord El-Melloi the Second. Don't call me Lord El-Melloi if you're leaving out the important part."
"Whatever, Waver. I need you to do some things for me."
There was silence for a second, before El-Melloi replied. "I don't care how drunk you are, I'm not paying your bail again."
"Do you really think I've gone and got myself arrested again?" Asked Gentles. "Waver, after all we've been through, I'd expect you to know me enough to know I wouldn't let them catch me."
"It all depends on how drunk you were last night."
"...I was pretty drunk last night." Gentles admitted. "But I haven't been arrested."
"Just get to the point." Waver sighed.
"Well, after a very successful..." Gentles trailed off, thinking whenever or not it was a good idea to reveal his theft of King Arthur's Mantle. "...Game of football-"
"I was wondering who stole Miss Minnet's collection." El-Melloi mused.
Drunk as he was, Gentles saw no problem with his singsong reply.
"Hey, I tried to steal your heart, but you were busy~" Gentles said, with wooden chuckle.
Waver was silent for a second. "...I'm hanging up now."
"Wait!" Gentles interrupted. "I need to know about the Holy Grail War!"
Again, El-Melloi was silent. "...You did what?"
"I was really drunk." He explained. "And I woke up with Servant Saber drinking all my alcohol. Also, I don't think I'm in Vegas anymore. Where am I, anyway?"
El-Melloi sighed. "I cannot believe this..." He muttered. "Well, you're in Rome. The Church wanted to keep a closer watch on the Grail War."
"Rome, huh..."
"Also, good news. Bazett isn't participating. She got sent on an Apostle Hunt to Egypt recently, and didn't know it was starting."
"Good, won't have to fight her. Though I'd hate to explain to her that she missed her chance. Who are the Masters, though?"
"I don't know." El-Melloi replied. "I know the Einzberns will be sending someone. The Matou might send someone, but their line has declined, so I don't think so. The only living Tohsaka is a teenage girl, so if she's participating, she should be easy to deal with. Other then that..."
Waver trails off for a moment, before continuing. "It's only rumours so far, but... Nrvnqsr Chaos has been sighted, in Italy. Given that The Vatican are nearby, there's only one reason a Dead Apostle Ancestor would be there."
Gentles paused for a second, and looked at the empty beer bottles in the kitchen.
"...I'm going to need some backup." He replied. "Can you send me my gear?"
"On it." El-Melloi replied. "I'll get everything that's important, and send someone over. Need anything in particular?"
"Go to America and check on my car."
"...Noted."
Waver hung up, and Gentles sighed.
"Where is the booze." He muttered.
Right on cue, Nero burst into the room, followed by three people in uniforms, carrying crates.
"I return!" She declared. "There was no alcohol left in the building, so we had to go to the stores, and the limo took too long to arrive, and I'm going to pass out now."
She fell backwards at that, and started snoring. The people in uniform dropped the crates, and left.
Opening one of the crates, Gentles found them filled with countless bottles of beer.
Naturally, he proceeded to...
[X] Get drunk
[X] Get really drunk.
[X] Get extremely drunk.
[X] Get stupidly drunk.
[X] Getting ridiculously drunk got him into this mess. Surely, it couldn't make things worse?
We can't mess up our plan if we don't know any part of it!
Now I have to see what will happen.
[[X] Get dru...wait a second. Waaaaiiit a second.
-[X] This whole "alone in your hotel room" scene is killing your buzz, and that lightweight Saber's already passed out, she can't help you liven this par-tay up.
--[X] You gotta hit the club. Get your groove going. Disco ain't dead, it's just well preserved. Exactly like you!
---[X] Try and persuade the delivery people to hit the club with you. And definitely bring the extra booze with you. Just in case.
