Well some of the kids in Narnia were good kings and queens for a time as I recall. Also King Arthur of course.
I mean, not really a sorceror, more of a fighting guy with magic/spiritual artificats backing me up.
My adviser is a magic guy, yeah, but that's completly different.
Also, don't think the Narnia kids did magic either, think they were more the artifact type like me.
Are there any stories of good sorceress Queens? Or kings?
Not really, not off the top of my head.
Luckily, we are not the leader of the entire land, so I think we might be able to go the Merlin route. This won't work the current leader, it's way too likely that we will end up in the evil Visier position like Jaffar, but if we can figure out who the next leader of the land is, particularly if it's someone who seems unlikely to inherit to bot himself and the pupulance and really everyone but has some secret birthright that will let him claim the throne, we can probably take over the role as good and wise mentor for them like Merlin which will let us do pretty good.
Seems like our best bet to me.
Alternatively, even just a young and upcoming hero would work as a person we can mentor. The echo isn't nearly as strong, Merlin is the most famous magic person by 20 miles, but there are plenty of stories about a magic person mentoring young hero's. Unfortunately, they often die, like, super quickly, so I'm not actually sure if our chance of survival is that much better.
Celestia is super recent story wise and unlikely to have buit up enough of an echo to count, being a unicorn under the current belief system and the belief system in the land and time the story was made easily cancels out every negative thing about her, and being a goddess cancels out the magic thing as it is different with divinity.
