Basically, they analyzed the book as a commentary on Love. As they explained it, Shelley saw love as an end onto itself, and not a means to an end. Basically, men of the time were seeking love as a means of soothing their own pains, and without consideration for the fact that love is a two way street

The way they represent The Belonging Kind was so... resonant, I guess, with myself that I quickly downloaded the story on my phone.
