[Exalted, ?] Most High

Man, that is going to be... awkward, to say the least. Middle of a stadium full of Dragon-Blooded and we suddenly burst into golden light? Flame will have kittens; the mythos he has built his entire life around is suddenly going to appear justified.

That's... Uh, an awkward place to Exalt.

Surrounded with elite Dragon Blooded who all have reason to hate us, unless, of course, something happens that Clearly marks us as the Golden King, the greatest and most terrible of the Anathema, who through his indomitable hubris, waged war on his Creation when it would not bow before him, and required the combined might of the Immaculate Dragons to seal away, when his peers could be overcome by simple courage alone.

But of all the Anathema, he was the only one who could be said to have brought peace and prosperity to those he dominated, having reserved his ire only for those who would march against him. He is considered to be something of a Lucifer figure, both in that he is the greatest monster, and possibly the most sympathetic of their number. Not good, not in any way, shape, or form, but fiction regarding his deeds keeps tending to turn up, and his story largely fascinates scholars of the First Age. Was he the only one of their number who had acquired some small semblance of sanity? Or was his madness simply too great and too all-encompassing to be understood by others, in the same way that one has difficulty seeing the Scarlet Empire from the streets of the Imperial City. Debates rage on through Dynastic Scholarship and abroad.

So exalting in the middle of an entire academy, which is also being watched by a former Shogun and facing a powerful dragon-blooded who hates us. Whelp, at least we get into immediate action.

@Rihaku

Would it be possible to put "winning" votes (even if just in spoiler boxes) in the posts of story only thread? As it is, the story seems to become disjointed and hard to figure out which have been chosen, especially for ones with multiple choices, much less time jumps.

Eh, he's had a hate-on for us since forever. Though Exalting in a stadium is indeed... troubling.
Yeah, but before we were an affront to the Immaculate hierarchy, and now we're Anathema. He's going to assume the former led to the latter, thus validating his fanaticism.

I mean, not that I particularly give half a damn what Flame thinks of us; I'll gladly make popcorn with the salt extracted from his tears. I just think the circumstances are funny.

It's official; we are Giga-Satan. Man, I'm reminded of the other Rihaku quest where we set ourselves up as a Lucifer-style figure... good times!

I would think it would stay the same since Ulyssian and Odyssial will still be the same person, and in the case of first age solars, loving multiple women is not out of place, or even rare, quite the opposite really.

Yeah if I remember right Harems were quite common. Hell we might not even have to worry about Lea being jealous as she is both same and affectionate to us. Plus she's a lunar from the first age. She could just decide it's threesome time with Moon and then go seduce the girl. It was her specialty during the Primordial War.

We will need all the power we can to survive that...

Good thing our Artificat 6 sword will be in our Anima.

He is an Immaculate Master of the Fire Dragon Style, so perhaps he won't be annihilated instantly. He did just attempt to kill Moon, though, so... perhaps not.

GO FOR THE ZANDATSU!!!!

Seriously though, I imagine the position of Odyssial is going to be really.. Awkward by Immaculate Dogma. On the one hand, he was Absolutely the greatest and most terrible of the Anathema. But when you get right down to it, he largely reserved his ire for his peers and the various other monsters out there. The likes of Dragon Blooded and Mortals are... Kind of beneath him, except on the dynasty/country level. He had the self-discipline that he wouldn't indulge in atrocities for shits and giggles, yet he was so apocalyptically powerful, and so high value of a target, that for the Usurpation to have succeeded, he Had to have been destroyed, and his wrath would have been horrific.

But at the same time, he made much of Creation a better place--and he did not draw his sword except in response to attacks on him. Worse luck, he was such a global figure, and so active a player in the politics that it would be extremely difficult for his memory to be completely crushed and his deeds attributed to fictional characters, because his deeds were widely known.

Setting him up as the Lucifer figure in all the implied horror and glory is kind of the only way the Immaculates can really address the problem without basically going on Creation wide pogroms (Which Lea would probably be interdicting because fuck having her husbando badmouthed, making it unlikely to do much more then fucking them over).

Well, I suppose our survival odds in that situation are probably changed heavily by immediate access to an N/A tier artifact.

Yeah, I'm honestly surprised people were worried about what Resolute Flame does afterwarss, when Uly is charging towards him, Exalting, has an Artifact N/A sword in his anima and can possibly even access some of Ody's Evocations.

Let's not forget that even Heroic Mortal Ulyssian managed to successfully parry that blow.

Barely, at the cost of his weapon, yes, but he did it, against a Fire Dragon Master using the capstone Charm of the Style.

Or alternately, they're Both remembering the legend, and he's too busy gibbering in abject terror that the Golden King has resurrected right in front of him, and has Overwhelming reason and cause to destroy him

Wait if we do reincarnate then that means there will be dragon blooded who are still loyal to Ody and thus Uly.
I wonder if some would be at the academy and thus watching this. I imagine watching this would be like a Christian seeing Jesus Christ come back to life.

Why would they immediately recognize him as Odyssial? For that matter, why would the Embers/Flames retain their feelings towards him from their incarnations in the Age of Dreams?

They might recognize Uly based on the sword alone, the differences seem to be that on one case Uly is like all ???, as much as Uly can be surprised, and the other he will at least have some kind of memories of what the heck is going on.
