Personal Combat Power

The Mela buff seems very useful for helping subvert the realm, and Moon can send her suitors to the North, gotta cut your teeth on the Fae to prove yourself a candidate.

Hopefully enough killiness will allow us to live through heading into the lions den, plus it might just be enough to enter the thunderdome Mountain.

I really like the propaganda aspects of this as it gives us more religious legitimacy than An Sys does.

[X] 3CD working for information acquisition to both give us intel on our enemies and fuel prophesies.

Would a Working to mitigate the subsequent Invasion Opportunity be amiss?

In terms of efficiency, creating a 3CDaeva-level entity will generate more overall power than buffing yourself, and if that entity were specced for war, it would help a lot against any hypothetical Fae invasion. Not enough to fully counteract the deactivation of the Elemental Pole of Air, but it'd help a lot, and long-term Moon's bloodline will ensure a safer Creation.

Do note that there may be other, Celestial, conseequences of deactivating the Pole of Air, even if temporarily.

Hmm, my understanding was that the top tier combatants could deal with multiple fighters with not that much more difficulty than one, so buffing ourselves to a higher level gave a larger percent chance of victory than simply adding another fighter around our level against them. Did I misunderstand or is this an edge case?

Only if those multiple fighters are much weaker than the top tier. Mm, it's not really a matter of power, actually, it's just whether you have access to effects that let you fight multiple opponents. Otherwise even someone like Octavion is screwed against a basic DB Circle.
That's the nature of the 3E system - numbers are much more advantageous than before.

*Let It Go - Of course, distilling and converting the enchantment into a personal buff for Moon means that you will have to sacrifice Luseng's greatest export, its self-chilling trout. Within the bounds of Luseng, Moon herself can chill whatever you like.
We knew coming into this that sometimes sacrifices would have to be made for the good of the many... and yet the costs leave me hesitant here.

Alright then, I've been enlightened. Kid number two, coming right up! The Luseng basketball team will soon be 40% complete.

*The Ends of the World - It took the apocalypse of the Usurpation to draw forth the Immaculate Dragons. Fueling the transformation requires an investiture of the very deepest of Gaia's energies. Moon must be transported to the Elemental Pole of Air, and the ritual will temporarily drain the Pole, causing global warming for a period of decades to follow and massive disruption of the world's air currents. These effects may be predicted and accounted for through Prophet of Seventeen Cycles, but the resulting Northern Fae invasions are less amenable to calculation

How bad is the side effect

The best part of this is that since every Dragon Blooded will Instinctivley know that Moon has become Mela, they will obey her, and since she is in love with Ulyssian we can use that to have the Realm lynch us.

Plus this would work well with the decapitating strike against the Realm as we could claim the Realm Defense Grid and then use that to set up Moon as Empress, which everyone will support, after all she is Mela.
