[X] God-King
-[X] Boost Sepulchral Pearl to Defining

It'll take months at this point, multiple turns and prophecies to make Anathema more acceptable and given how things go we might not be able to or want to focus on doing prophecies considering Rihaku has been sort of implying we might not have that much free time in the future.

Might as well get that time Dilation so we can do more prophecies in the same amount of time.

Also we should at the very least be able to stunt telling Moon what she should do to reorganize the administration and make sure that the people of Luseng understand why we did what we did.

Plus I really want to spend more time with professor Ivory. Think of those astrological buffs people!

Wouldn't it be a lot easier and cheaper to summon a 2CD-level entity than to create one? The same applies to 3CD-level entities, but the timing is probably not right for that.

Making our own means they're fully loyal to us and specialize to do what we need and we could just boost Moon herself to the level of a 3CD

EDIT2: Forgot to update the pages to count. Typical.

My name isn't on there under God-King and boosting Pearl's intimacy.

Summoned and bound demons have a defining tie of loyalty that can't be eroded by any means. You're right on the specialisation, but there's a lot of different second circle demons, so we should be able to get something relatively close to what we want. And summoning is done in a day while a working would need at least a week.

Well a created 2CD/3CD shouldn't be able to be banished "back" to Malfeas right?

*Head-desk* Or it could be that I just didn't remember to change the last page to the 681 from 680. Figures.

Longest omake from me till now coming together. It advocates sorcery, but does not focus on the current vote. How much time I have approximately to finish it before you weight the votes, Rihaku?

Probably a couple hours at least.

Sure. Created servants do have advantages, but so do summoned ones. There's a reason summon demon is often called the most powerful spell.

You can only summon 1 2CD a month and 1 3CD a year (and only during calibration), so practically speaking if you want to spam 3CDs you have to do it with Workings. Also, Working-created entities don't have to actually be demons - recall the erymanthoi example in the 3E book despite their Tie of loyalty.

Of course, Demon of the Second Circle does have the extreme advantage of being way, way more XP-efficient than creating your own dudes.

So @Rihaku, a downside was mentioned to Initiating as an Odyssial Sorcerer at the Solar Circle level, since that seems to be the option getting the votes, what exactly was that Downside? Something about Control Spell restrictions or something? What effects does that have on Ulyssian's Sorcery and if they are negative could they be negated by taking them at another time?

It's not really a downside, just a restriction on your Control Spell choice if you pick the Odyssian Initiation by accepting an Intimacy.

Eh, I'm torn between the prospect of more Moon now or a stronger Moon later. Why do you inflict these decisions on me, Rihaku?

Anyway, I think we should give serious thought to awakening Hatred of the Titans if we go Sorcery. It's highly appropriate from a thematic standpoint, given what we're soon to be facing, whereas boosting Pearl sort of comes out of left field, since she's nowhere near us. I like Pearl too, but I think no-selling Anys' inevitable 'lie down and die for the good of everyone everywhere' speech is a more immediately relevant benefit. It makes us a more nuanced character, and honestly I rather liked Odyssial's take on vengeance. Carving your name in terror across the faces of your slain enemies (who also happen to be the creators of the world) is awesome in the truest sense of the word. Plus, I doubt it would carry over to Nilul; Ulyssian knows Nilul is in opposition to hell and is pragmatic enough not to hold her powers against her. It might even make him better able to defend her, depending on what memories are awakened alongside it. If we could get a ruling on that, it would be helpful.

One thing is that creations can be designed to perfectly and fairly administrate the city in the manner we desire without the kind of inherent biases that demons inevitably have. We could also possibly pass one off as a reactivated relic from the past. With a bit of effort this might even be fairly convincing.

The big issue is that summoned demons are generally obviously demonic. This wouldn't be a problem, except that Dragon-Blooded sorcerers cannot bind second circle demons. Though I suppose they can beckon them and then bargain with them terrorize them into submission. It's at best heterodox, but it does feel like something a desperate yet extremely powerful satrap might do after slaughtering his entire administrative class. I'm almost tempted, especially if we could get one that could largely work in private...

Regardless, we will want demon of the second circle even if we never use it openly. Expendable minions of that potency are just too useful.
