[Exalted, ?] Most High

People we do not remember the Sword's controls yet. Do you guys really want to start off the RCW when we don't have the keys that will allow us to decisively end the conflict quickly to minimize bloodshed and give less time for the enemies of the Realm to utilize the chaos?

Seriously if we'r going to start the Realm Civil War we should do it because we expected that to happen and we're ready to reclaim the Sword to make things as smooth as possible.

We do not have the time to be dealing with that Bullshit when we have Solars,Lunars,Deathlords, Abyssals, and Infernals who will take advantage of this situation. The Realm has far too many enemies for a prolonged Civil War and I fear that without the Sword under our control it will be prolonged. Plus having te sword will dissuade people from possibly planning a rebellion in the future so that potential problem is nibbed in the bud.

Might write a stunt for remorse later.

And in case it wasn't clear, I'm in favor of starting off the Realm Civil War right the hell now. The sooner it comes the sooner it'll be over, and the less time the Houses have to build new military assets and make their preparations for a larger and more destructive fight. We've got an unanticipated opportunity and fortune favors the bold.

We can after all sneak into Yu Shan to rig the Loom of Fate to make sure it does.

If my write-in/stunt attracts enough support I'll formally change my vote. If not, well, I bluntly do not like the compromise write-in and so will keep it at Remorse and Withdrawal as preferable to compromise. I'll check back in a few hours after I get back to work.
Have to say, the write-in is awesome, even by your standards (and also benefiting from 2x XP if I'm correct). But still not gonna vote for it. While the Houses will prepare, we stand to gain expotentially more from building up our own strength, and maybe making connections if we play our cards right.
Quick Ayala, what is Odyssial's power level?

-It's over nine thousand!!!

-WHAT nine thousand?!
Wasn't your Like -level over it for some time already?

I was talking about the posts in this thread. If I'd wanted to stack likes I would just have run this on SB!

Exactly.

We still have our Satrapy position which we could use to make our loyal army for when we do kick off the RCW.

It gives us time to use the prestige for accomplishing this task on accident(it's much scarier that we did this on accident then intentionally) to build up allies and resources because I expect a lot of people will want to court us after this. It allows us to gain allies that might has fought against us if we just went straight to the war.

Plus and most importantly it gives us time to remember how to regain control of the Sword of Creation and prepare a way to make it to the Realm Defense Grid as quickly as possible so that when we do start the RCW we can end it quickly. Minimizing the amount of bloodshed, the amount of time the various enemies of creation can use the chaos of the war to their advantage, and gives us a very very big stick that we can use to cow those on the Realm who would oppose us.

If we're going to do this shit, then let's do it right.

[X] Cavalier's write-in.

As he said, Ivory's about to sneak attack the loom of fate, and if no one is prepped for an actual war we have a much better chance to use shock and awe to end it quick.

Ivory might have gone sneaked into Heaven. But it is unlikely given we weren't there to help her out.
[ ] Skeins of Fate - Pearl would like to place some astrological blessings on you and your allies, but must break into Yu-Shan and the Loom of Fate in order to do so. As this is an extremely - almost terminally - risky maneuver, any and all assistance would be appreciated. She is unlikely to go if you do not, though Zao will be unlikely to have the chance. This option inflicts [+1 Stress], though the rewards could be enormous.

Fei Ling is actually a girl, I'm not sure why everyone thinks she's a guy.
Indeed. I guess you can run a tomboy plot on her!

Also, that sorceress was my favourite of all the Infernals we've met.
I guess I'll vote for Cavalier's write-in.
Though having a Shogun for 2 decades at the max... Seems folly.

If it's Lord Odyssial of Creation though....... Haha

Hm. Well, hopefully the write in will stir things up, but you've got an overwhelming vote for Remorse, so we may want to plan around that. How Ulyssian will react, what he will say, and so on and so forth. It looks like leaving the Tournament is also substantially ahead, so there's the matter of next month's training as well.

Let us not forget Han Feizi, whose legalist King-fu knows no bounds!

Y'know, with Nilul's situation as it is, it could benefit you nicely to get that bodyguard Charm.

Man, it really is a shame you guys won't get to see the epic fighting styles of some of these guys, except perhaps on the battlefield...

If we withdraw from the Tournament will we still take social actions prior to departure, as I generally outlined here? Dropping everything and leaving straight-up seems like it substantially underutilizes the available opportunities here even if we choose to no longer compete.

Well, I'm not really set on leaving after we withdraw from the Tournament... but I hesitate to vote for sticking around without a good sense of what we'd be doing, in that time.

That's kind of assuming there will still be a Sword of Creation later on.
In the last quest the Yozi tasked the absolute strongest of their Infernals with infiltrating and sabotaging the thing and odds are honestly pretty good every other anti-Realm faction has plans to accomplish the same.

If we kick off the Civil War immediately, it'll end rather soon and the most immediate barrier between us an the ability to attempt to access the Sword disappears.
If we wait, we could easily already be too late the first time we can even make the attempt to access the thing.

It depends on what the voters want - I haven't seen much discussion on the topic at mall, in the case that Forebearance wins. But remember, time spent socializing is not spent training!

Since we're apparently going with the Super Regret vote, I'm not sure we can swing it, Darklight. "Oh, I'm so sorry I killed that guy, I must now return to the academy in shame, etc. etc., but if you ever want to talk, let me give you my card, I'll have my people talk to yours..."

No, see, that's why we have Nilul. Ulyssian is ranting and theatrically sobbing (which is obviously fake because he's a mediocre actor), while Nilul winks at our prospective allies, hands out business cards, and manages our rapidly-filling social calendar.
