[Exalted, ?] Most High

Then we should have actually said that!
Seriously people, you should only go for compromise and discussion options when you are willing to abide by them!

We did, we agreed to publicly stay away from Moon after faking a falling out for around 6 months to make sure people don't try to target her. So I don't know WHAT you're going on about.

We committed to helping Zao with his plans to save Creation. We also committed to not hurting Moon, and I would argue ardently that part of not hurting Moon is not pissing away our focus in all the unproductive ways that Dynasts traditionally do.

I believe Pipeman's main issue is that maintaining a relationship with Moon is ... counter to Zao's preferences, and we agreed to lagely abide by his will. We did not at any point say we were going to serve as his loyal hand and unquestioning soldier though, just that we'd work together to save Creation under his guidance. Or at least that's my understanding of the situation?

Zao is clearly amenable to discourse and negotiation on how to proceed, we were able to negotiate actually speaking with Moon and maintaining the relationship, when he wanted us to break off all contact with her categorically. Hell, the realization that Ulyssian just has to train like a madman, and that will make him crazy powerful AND recongized by the Sword of Creation should make him hella happy. Ulyssian isn't there yet, but the fact that it's an eventual option should offer some relief, as well as make Ulyssian Even More Valuable as an asset!

I think anyway, I'm open to divergent viewpoints or explications.

Uh, in the Realm it is completely normal to have Dynastic political marriages where everyone has mistresses / concubines on the side. Moon totally understands that, she doesn't actually expect the world to work like in stories. She is just really happy and touched when it does, especially if it's your doing.

y'know I'm not sure if that statement will make any theoretical marriages easier or harder to stomach for the player base.

Hahaha!

On a more pragmatic note, would you guys prefer an Artifact 4 armor that can help reinforce your Fire aspect-ness and improve your stealth, or an artifact 5 armor that is completely ostentatious and obvious, but really good at protecting you?

Which half would you like?

Added to vote.
*Against those who believe its reach to be limited, Ambition may deliver a swift reply. When attacked from outside melee range, Odyssial may meet that attack head-on. Sunlight flashes off his blade as if it were high noon, and he if overcomes the strike, so effortless is his deflection that it robs all momentum from his assailant.
*Against those who believe that it can be overcome by a hundred thousand lesser swords, Ambition displays its utmost scorn. Odyssial's superhuman guard grows in efficacy the more times he is attacked during a round.

Given that pissing off our Family will mean we'll have to get hitched to one of the other Great Houses in order to gain the necessary influence to save the Realm and Creation I'd say it isn't a waste, plus we get to improve our friendship with Nilul who can help us with social problems (and hopefully worm our way into her heart enough so she doesn't feel the need to ever throw us under the bus at some point).

Ah then we could just have a political (or is it? My urge to ship Niluly is growing!) marriage with Nilul to gain fake influence with House Tepet and since she's Moon's friend everything will be OK (besides we're a reincarnated First Age Solar We WILL waifu them all!)

That...is a tough call. Hmm.

Leaning towards 4, because stealth is what we really want in the short term...yet will that matter? Thinking on it more, presumably high enough threats will see through us anyways, and our ability to disguise ourself is excellent - so the better defense might be worthwhile for when shit does in fact hit the fan. Yet, we can improve our defensive capabilities outright whereas enhancing our fire-aspect-ness would be harder, and being even more of a ninja would be awesome too.

I'd totally say go for the Fire Aspected Armor. If we're going to be in the Academy in the forseeable future, we can most likely avoid a shitload of drama by not going headfirst into an armor that screams 'arrogant supersolar'.

Discretion is the better part of valor, or however that saying goes.

Stealth and Fire Aspect -ruse enhancing? Yeah, fine with Artifact 4 armor. As we didn't give Ambition away and get that red jade daiklave to help us improve our disguise, I'm for nearly anything that helps with that. Besides, we had a very good Artifact 5 armor that we might still be able to find.

Though I expect that this is a one potential reward for going to the party, so I'm not getting too excited about it.

In what way do you believe a powerful enemy would see through you? Maybe I can offer clarification.

It doesn't say Solar, it's just really obvious.

Artifact 5 Armor.

Protection is good.

Where our original artifact 5 armor?

Not really likeing the Artifact 5 armor, because something completely ostentatious and obvious sounds like it's actually going to add penlaties to going Batman on people, when hilariously overprepared assassinations are a pretty big part of our repertoire.

The stats are the same, the Artifact 5 just has more Evocations. However, that can be a pretty huge deal, as later Evocations are stronger than earlier ones.

Talk about an archive binge. Little did I know how deep this rabbit-hole went when I clicked the first link! Anyway, um, I'm here now. Also new, because apparently that means something? I dunno, this newfangled experience stuff and five different ways to like a post are kind of intimidating. It's like Reddit, but more Reddit-y.

Vote time:

"Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water."

You know us silly Adorjani types, always going on about enlightenment.

Before we Exalted, what did we do? We trained. Trained like maaaad. Now that we've Exalted, we should continue to train like mad. Same game, higher stakes. Also I kinda just dislike the implication that if we don't socialize we're wrong and bad and will be disowned. Maybe that's accurate, but fuck 'em if that's the case. Introverts are people too, you know? Speaking of introverts, MOON. Holy shit, so adorable.
I'm not a person prone to squeeing... but I squeed a bit when reading some of her stuff.

[X] Raw Power.

If we get a straight line, we should totes scream something about unlimited power.

Hmm. I suppose you guys could try finding a reliable mortal and have him stand outside Moon's room until the attending tells him that she may soon wake up. That would let you party and possibly see her, though the chances wouldn't be much better than 50%.

Get Saery to lend us one of her mortal pals. Well totes pay her back later.

We took it from a DB after all.

Now, what kind of ostentatious are we talking, here? Does it stay classy, or is it just pure gaudy?

This is the entire determining factor in what I will vote for.

I am for that if we end up Partying, which seems like it's how things are going. Is there anyway we can increase those odds? Things we can do or not do at the party that will make it so it's not just a 50/50 shot? Perhaps bribing individuals or something to ensure the mortal has free passage or otherwise buffing him for this task? I don't know what Ulyssian's capacities in this arena are so I'm just spitballing.

@Rihaku could we get the Xp from the other quests that did't finish?

At least from the last two exalted questa and maybe paladin quest?

It's... pretty outrageous. Like, a grand daiklave.

You can come up with detailed plans and I can approve them!
