Wonderful, so suboptimal shitting of Odyssial's legacy it is
My biggest complaint is two fold - we're trying to be clever in front of a whole host of people who would be extremely happy to kill us, considering what they just witnessed, and if successful there, it's just a matter of time before things blow up in our face anyway. Bluffing the people we have to bluff is going to be ridiculous, and we're under intense scrutiny at a minimum.
So we take that into account. We grab what we can while we can. I never envisioned disguise to last for more than a few days, a week at most. It was always just an opportunity to grab resources and allies which the other two options does not provide.
Not really. There is shit all anyone can do against a Solar who has authorized command of the Sword. That seems like a MAD plan that's would backfire in a horrible/hilarious for the Ebon Dragon sort of way.

Not technically true. They can attempt to sabotage the network of war manses that channel and project the Sword's power, although you'd need a coordinated strike to really be effective, and even that wouldn't take the Sword offline completely. It's very likely the counterstroke would destroy any organized center of resistance. Not really. There is shit all anyone can do against a Solar who has authorized command of the Sword.
The Problem is that the Empress had limited control over it. In contrast, we are a Solar on the authorized user list. People on the Blessed Isle can't really fight us.Not technically true. Basically, you can fight someone with the Sword, as the existence of Lookshy demonstrates. It's just that the tactics include running to the edge of the world, mounting a campaign of guerrilla warfare, and praying really hard.
It's hard to say how much control over it she did or didn't have. She had enough power to throw back the Balorian Crusade (though Balor had, admittedly, already been assassinated), to project her image basically anywhere in the world, and conjure up natural disasters basically at will. In 3E I think the Sword is being modeled through Evocations, and Dragon-Blooded are second only to the Solars in that department. The Problem is that the Empress had limited control over it. So she Reincarnated to play a role all to help her old master Exalt in the Age of Sorrows? Truly, she is faithful even in death and beyond. o7You know, it'd be kind of funny if it turns out Resolute Flame was our old (female) Dragon Blooded lieutenant, and his sister was the one that hated our guts.
...Okay, that seems to be in line with his previous feats. And yeah, when I think about it, succesfully resurrecting without access to the Third Circle by himself supports that claim quite well. Still, I want to reach it this time around. Then we can add another snazzy title to the already long list. In addition to all the other ones we will be grabbing.
Well. You know. You gotta get that 100% Completion playthrough.
I agree with this. If we can't get rid of him now we should at least get dispose of him later when the opportunity arrives or simply make the opportunity happen. He's kind of a fanatic. If there's even the slightest suspicion of us being an Anathema...

With Zao running interference we can have enough freedom to do what we need to do then get out.
Yeah, I am not a big fan of Flame in general and would cheerfully toast his ignominious demise, but we can't touch him now. It'd be too suspicious. Still, just because vengeance must be deferred, does not mean it must denied entirely. While Ulyssian is the sort of person who won't abandon those who have been true to him, that long memory cuts both ways in the case of his enemies...I agree with this. If we can't get rid of him now we should at least get dispose of him later when the opportunity arrives or simply make the opportunity happen.

You can stab them in the face. It works really well. The Sword is largely a strategic weapon. Not really. There is shit all anyone can do against a Solar who has authorized command of the Sword.
Using his next life to master a skill he neglected in his last? Yep that's Ody/Uly.
Since disguise seemingly will win what is the plan to actively fool the dragon blooded and to get around the scrunity so we can gather allies as resources.
Remember Zao is going to be hard pressed to save us. Thankfully Ivory will help out but Anys still is a problem. Hoping Ivory will tell us about her so we can plan for her.
How long do we plan to disguise ourselves because the longer we keep up the charade the more likely people will notice discrepancies or we'll be put
in a situation where we have to reveal our true nature.
We need to have a contingency to book it in case things go wrong. Though Zao, Ivory and maybe Nilul should be able help out on that regard
So guys, what do you think is the craziest power grab you can see us doing in this quest?
Personally? Figuring out a permanent Unity of the Closed Fist with the rest of the Solar Exaltations.
