Emma Barnes, Princess (Worm/Princess the Hopeful Quest)

I think this is one of those areas where we're going to need a well thought out plan and consensus before we get anywhere.
Well, true. The practical magic of the courts is much better, though.
Depends. A high level courtless princess would get quite a lot out of that practical magic. Perhaps more than a radiant. It is very customisable.

Yep. People, discuss a bit before starting voting, please. Voting too soon can lead to voting blocks that are hard to dispel later, even if the discussion
points in other directions.

[X] Plan Hot Air
-[X] Aria 2
-[X] Fuoco 1

This Emma feels strongly about people. She wants them to laugh so she can feel like the world is safe again and she can feel safe like she did before. She has righteous anger towards those who harmed her and will touch anyone she cares about but it isn't the all consuming rage of Tempesta. She attacks the dignity and authority of those who are evil or allow it to prosper and inspires people to stand up against corrupt authority. This Emma either won't join the PRT or will chafe against them heavily once she gets in as they don't fight to win. I see this Emma being closer to Composer(Taylor) from Synesthesia that a conventional superhero.

Aria represents who she was before the incident and can color who long term goals. She wants to make the world a happy place again for laughter. She mocks her enemies and refuses to respect their authority over her nor that of anyone who stands in the way of her goals. It prevents us from giving orders as a drawback (without losing the invocation anyway).

Fuoco allows us to attack with our full force against our enemies when we do use violence as well as protect people we love. It also works in high risk situations which is great for combat and for when we get in over our heads. This one prevents us from betraying loved ones(without losing the invocation anyway).

Personally I don't find practical magic all that useful. It costs a wisp for each use and only gives 1 dice to the roll. Wisps are hard to get and each one is precious. Far more so that essence is in exalted as it won't regenerate and we have a very tiny pool of it.

XP wise it is cheaper to buy transformed dots than normal dots so it makes sense to make most of our attribute/abiliy purchases that way.

Well. I think is clear that we should take one invocation for her personality before the trauma and another to represent how she deals with it.
For the former, Legno,Aria or Terra can fit. I favor Aria for now.

For the latter, we can choose among Spechio (Denial) Tempesta (Rage) Lacrima (depresion), , or even Fuoco (New-found passion).

I have to say, i don't like Fuoco for this. It feels like we are cheating out of our problems a bit. Note that the first three map perfectly with different stages of grief, while Fuoco would mean that our blossoming would help us to get out of depresion, at least a bit. I prefer if we resolve it in a more organic way. Fuoco is good for a somewhat more hopeful (ha) game though. At least until we start getting new troubles. Cyberswordsmen already covered it in detail.

Lacrima's would leave us in depresion (Although not as deep). The start of the quest would probably be about surpassing it and gaining emotional energy for new projects. Taylor's assistance and our new talent and interest for fashion would help to get out of it. The biggest problem of choosing this is that it makes us a bit too passive.

Spechio is the route most similar to canon, with significant differences. For starters, we don't need to be assholes with our friends. Second, spechio is good at denial. It can actually solve our trauma (Hell, there is even a charm that does it automatically). Of course, it comes with a new, completely different set of problems, but hey, nothing is perfect right?

And with Tempesta, we pass from depresion to rage like a good cyclothymic and start making plans of revenge/justice as soon as we can. This is the most active route, since is the one where we have more emotional power.

Given our Virtues, The best fit is Tempesta. I still prefer Spechio though, because it will lead to hilarity. Plus it allows us to make a good contrast with canon Emma (By sticking as close as we can to her without commiting her biggest faults).

All these choices can be tempered lated with a nice arc where we actually confront and deal with our problems in a healthy way, after we adquire a bit of maturity.

(I am inclined for Aria/Spechio 2, maybe Aria 2/Spechio or even Aria/Spechio/Tempesta)

I think Fouco works because of it's focus on people. Emma is dealing with her grief by obsessively latching on to her loved ones. She is likely to be very clingy with Taylor in the near future and develop a rebellious streak from both Aria and Fouco as they both involve not respecting authority it gets in you way.

[X] Plan Growing Up

Aria for our old self. Speccio for our new flaws. Fuecco for our new-found need to protect.

Also, I feel like the self-sabotage of having such a wide spread with conflicting requirements is very Emma and retroactively helps explain our lack of court.

Passion could mean an obsessive desire to get stronger which could represent Emma's way of dealing with her Trauma by burying herself in Magical Girl training montages so as to "never be weak again".

[X] Plan Whirlwind

To be enNobled is a rush like little else. To breathe in and be the Wind, carefree and light. It is joy and love and Light.

But there is Dark as well. And Emma would rather die than be weak before it again.

[From fear comes anger. From Anger, Hate. Oh yes, this Emma will laugh, and joke, and be happy again. But she will hate. And when she is injured, and all that surrounds her is chaos, she will remember the car, and the assurances of uncompromising violence.

And she will have to deal with temptation.]

You should probably only vote on one site.

So this is currently a battle between a plan that states it has nothing of value and a plan that directly advocates against voting for it.
