I never finished Sayaka quest but I am coming back to SV for reals this time and fucking behold this... Well shit, Moid, yeehaw and long time no howdy. Looks like I'm captured because this quest is already gorgeous. Jesus.
 
I...I am just shocked. I never thought there would be a sequel to the first SQ, the Quest that got me into SV in the first place.

It's still around, like a bad joke. Or systemic racism. It's there, and it's unlikely to be going away for a long, long while.

Sayaka can't do a lot about it. And she has a family to raise. That omake that dealt with its existence is absolutely canon, but over the years, Sayaka's learned to just ignore it.

What does this bit of the first update refer to, exactly:

Is this just Sayaka and co. causing problems for the Incubators through simply existing as experienced/powerful magical girls, or have they actively been doing something to mess with things?

Also, assuming it's not a spoiler or anything, what's the status of the other Sayaka Quest cast? The Ducklings, Madoka and Homura, Hitomi, Mikimom, etc?

Moved out. They're still alive and well, and thanks to Sayaka, they're still doing their own thing in other parts of the country. They still mail Akane every once in a while.

Also there's a little bit of timeline fuckery, buuuut I'm gonna go ahead and retcon the timeline slightly.

Minako was born six years after Walpurgisnacht was defeated, and fourteen years have passed. This same scenario happened but it's at a slightly different time period.

TL;DR: It's a super-witch that killed Sayaka's father, and that makes the Walpurgisnacht that hit Mitakihara in canon look like a weak Familiar.

Sayaka Quest was what got me into PMMM quests in the first place, so I'm more than a little hyped for this. And now I can actually participate in it instead of binging it a few years after! Glory to the Moidy one!

Because potential marshmallows need to be burnt to a crisp before they have any chance to ruin Minako's campfire.

Also of consideration is the possibility that Kyubey's going after Reika, so if at all possible I would recommend asking her too.

BTW, it was kind of hilarious that the Witch thought she could take on Sayaka by punching her with her giant stone fists. She got off easy getting killed by Sayaka rather than Akane.
