You swallow another wave of bile. Your nausea can wait until after you're safe.
Much to your surprise, you are able to make it back home without incident. You were trying to avoid being noticed, true, but it seemed like there was barely anyone nearby and you're not sure why.
Thankfully, your parents haven't arrived home yet. You're not sure how you would explain your bloodstained clothing or general unkempt state. Your father doesn't like listening to excuses, but this time really isn't your fault... You should probably get rid of all the evidence before they get back.
Fighting down a wave of nausea, you make a beeline for the bathroom, barely making it before you lose the contents of your stomach.
While you're stewing in your misery, a cheerful voice inserts itself into your mind without ever passing through your ears.
"Hello there, Aria! You don't look like you're feeling particularly well. Since I expect you shouldn't be speaking right now, you don't need to reply verbally. Just use telepathy."
You look up and stare wearily at the adorable bunnycat sitting on your windowsill. Upon determining that the window is, in fact, shut, you check the door to the bathroom. Just like the window, the bathroom door is shut and locked. Assuming Kyubey isn't a hallucination, you honestly have no idea how he got in.
"...Hello?" You try experimentally. Telepathic speech feels distinctly different from normal thoughts, and very strange. You still haven't dismissed the 'hallucination' theory, but if he isn't one...
You try not to get your hopes up.
"Greetings." Kyubey curls up into a circular pile of fluffiness. "As you may have noticed, Azura is having difficulty handling the defense of Karia by herself. I'll keep this brief: you have an unusually high amount of potential, even by the standards of magical girls. Are you interested in trying to help Azura?"
This time, you don't try to stomp down your hope. Of course, there is one little pitfall you're rather worried about...

You don't mind the part where your soul would be separated from your body, but if it were destroyed, you're pretty sure you would go to Hell by default.
