Generally speaking I'll okay something if the character looks like it works, if I can expect discretion on some of the more funky things. In other words, the character works well enough that even if the bio is a bit all over the place it can be made to work.

I just created mine for others to use when writing character interactions, although I might try my own hand at such a thing to see if I have what it takes to write a story.
 
I probably won't write an RP for everything, but I wanted to write one for the post-Putsch after seeing everyone else's.
 
Well, here's a character I might go with, assuming he gets approved.
Name: Ronald Bretschneider
Party: ...Technically independent, but tends to orbit somewhere between the SPD and DNVP
Biography: Born in Frankfurt at exactly midnight on January First of 1900, Ronald is undoubtedly an... interesting sort. Despite his youth, he did fight in the great war, enlisting on his eighteenth birthday, and leaving the service when the war came to an end. It's not quite clear what happened during his service due to the building holding his service records receiving a hit from some stray artillery, but he came back from the war distinctly changed.

Today, Ronald is commonly viewed as a delusional nutcase, and for good reason. He insists that he is in fact a naturalized martian from the thirty-first century, and claims to take advice from an invisible pink unicorn. Other outrageous claims of his include being deployed to the north pole in a zeppelin during the war as part of a secret mission to stop Santa Claus from shipping war materiel to the British, as well as having peed on the first draft of Mein Kampf.

Since the war, Ronald has run in every single election that has taken place, for every single position that has been up for an opening. His horribly inept campaigns have been something of a running joke throughout the Weimar years, with 'voting for Ronald' becoming something of a euphemism for doing something completely ineffectual. However, in 1933, with the only opponent for the Reichstag seat Ronald was running for being a particularly despised nazi, Ronald won a seat in the Reichstag by exactly one vote. The vote was going to be re-calculated, which could have seen Ronald not enter office, save for the fact that his nazi opponent was killed in the March Revolts. By Ronald.

Personality:
-Constantly makes outrageous claims that couldn't possibly be true, and seems to believe them wholeheartedly.
--That said, these stories do tend to draw and retain a large audience...
-Genuinely cares about his principles, such as democracy, liberty, and cats
-Can be disturbingly bloodthirsty at times, and openly advocates for executing all nazis by throwing them out of a plane at 35,000 feet.

This is probably gonna be a hugely unpopular position, but I'm considering an NSDAP character for the technocracy.

If there's a better party for the glorious fires of german industry und Alles being In Ordenung, tell me. :V

I kinda wanna play a Catholic who hates the goddless commies and wants to protect Poland in gratitude for what they did at the Seige of Vienna.

There is the BVP, sorta. That's the closest there is to what you described/.
 
Well, Herr von Smalhausen of the DNVP is working to get the navy up to snuff and restore the monarchy. The Hohenzollerns are probably not the first choice though, thanks to ole Kaiser Billy's bipolar tendencies and his son August's overt Nazi sympathies. Right now the von Wittelsbachs have the prestige, respect and sanity to be the best choice for the position of Kaiser. And even then, the monarchists are fairly convinced that the best they can get is more a British style constitutional monarchy.

What about Albrecht, Duke of Württemberg on the original Habsburg platform of "I'm literally not a threat to anyone."

On the naval front though.... I would stand behind a carrier-based navy, because we should be focusing on army/air force/THEN navy. We haven't got a huge need for force projection in the near future, carriers are currently inoffensive, and we really need an army and an air force for self defense against almost all of Europe before we have to worry about naval endeavors.

Not a bad choice, but it terms of noble rank, at this time Bavaria is still considerd a kingdom, with Rupprecht von Wittelsbach as the current king. So Albrecht of Wurttemberg would be work out, but it most likely would occur if Rupprecht declined the job.
 
There's still Prince Louis Ferdinand Von Hohenzollern who as I know greatly admired American democracy.
