Theodore von Shultz [ZENTRUM] sat at his office in Berlin, having just finished a letter from his family in Königsberg. Thankfully, the city was far from the area of the heaviest fighting but had yet suffered damages from some of the lighter SA activities in the City. The Heer, numerous militias, and the spirited individuals had done their part in putting down the fighting, and he planned on writing a public statement honoring their work.
That aside, there was a pressing matter at hand which needed to be attended too. The economy was in shambles, certainly not helped by the damage caused by the numerous Right Wing uprisings which had to be put down.
"Fucking animals..." he muttered, lifting his cigar to his lips and breathing in a long drag of tobacco. It reminded him too well of the turmoil after the Treaty of Versailles, and the Spartakist revolts.
Before him lay details of two options present on the table to rectify the economic situation. One of Austerity, and the other detailing proposals for a stimulus package. He studied both hard and made his decision. "Tightening out belts will do nothing to rectify the crippling state of our economy. We need to start fixing this nightmare, and we needed to start doing this years ago."
He put down his cigar and went to work. He would have to coordinate with other members of his party, such as Mr. Hoffman (
@Cornuthaum) and a few he knew in the DNVP to bring as many people on board as possible. He would also try to bring the idea of an increased military budget and soldiers benefits to the left, which he knew would sway more minds among the righter leaning ministers in the government. He knew a SPD colleague, Diana Schee (
@Always Late), who could help coordinate such. She was a renowned Feminist and potentially offering support in opening up military roles for women would certainly incentivize her. He would have to write a few letters.
