Technically 4 Votes to escape and technically 3 Votes to use firebombs. Since it's pretty even, and because your survival is pivotal (okay, not really, because you'll simply revive but not Oscar who has perma-death), you're going to use the firebombs.
[X] Break Through And Escape!
[X] Time to put those firebombs to good use! Mwahahahaha!
There were just too many enemies for you and Oscar to handle.
Chosen Undead: "Retreat!"
Covering Oscar's back as he cut a path toward the stairs, you used firebombs to keep the hounds away. But advancing past the pouncing Attack Dogs was easier said than done and the Hollow Thieves were skillful enough to take advantage of any small opening caused by the hounds.
It was then that opportunity or perhaps even misfortune fell upon you both.
The Attack Dogs went wild and also began to attack their owners.
The presence of a demon stirred their beastial-instincts to a frenzy.
You saw the Goat Demon as it slowly walked, its large blood-dirtied cleaver-blades screeching as they were dragged against the stone-flooring.
Several more hounds, following the great goat demon, charged into the fray.
IT COMES.
Using the chaos, you and Oscar escaped up the stairs but could not advance much further due to a fog-door blocking your way.
You gazed down at the skirmish below. It seems that, while they had retained a tactical-sense for ambushing, the Hollow Thieves did not have much sense for escape. Though they were agile, the Hollows were swiftly demolished, as the Demon's mighty swings were uncaring, cleaving into two both dogs and thieves alike.
And as the last thief died, the Goat Demon's skull turned towards you.
Four red-eyes filled locked onto their target.
The killing-intent drove the remaining Attack Dogs (4) to rush-up the stairs, seeking out the last two survivors.
Efficiently dealing with the Attack Dogs, you quickly ran down the stairway and dove into the Goat Demon's lower-region. It was not the most tactically sound of ideas but one crazy enough to succeed as your sword pierced into the demon's flesh.
That single stroke of utter insane brilliance caused the Goat Demon to be off-balance in the entire fight.
Between you and Oscar, the both of you suffered little scratches as you took apart the demon piece-meal.
Soon enough, the Goat Demon wailed its death-cry.
You got Key To The Depths!
You got two Demon Great Machetes!
Oscar: "...Well, that went better than expected."
With not much else blocking your way, you continued further into the Lower Undead Burg. Eventually, you came across a wooden door, a voice calling out from the other side.
?????: "Somebody! Please, let me out of here! Somebody, anybody! Help me! Unlock the door! ...Damn... ...I'm finished... How did this ever happen..."
Oscar broke through the door. Inside the small room were barrels and a young man.
Not a Black Mage.
?????: "Brilliant! You opened the door for me! Thank you; I am saved. I thought I might never escape. I am Griggs of Vinheim. A sorcerer of the school. I am much obliged for your assistance. Thanks to you, I may now resume my travels."
Chosen Undead: "...Why didn't you just break down the door yourself?"
Griggs: "I did try! I even used sorcery! But I couldn't even put a scratch on it!"
Oscar: "Odd... but perhaps for the best. It the door had opened earlier, you may have been caught thieves or a demon."
Griggs: "Oh, bloody terrible that would have been!"
