[X] (Aequitas Veritas) Explore more of Night City, who knows what you may find?
It has been about 3 weeks since you've arrived in Night City and while you've made yourself somewhat familiar with the NCPD Precinct and Tanner's apartment in Little China but little beyond that! So now here you are. Wandering the streets of Watson in the middle of a rainy day, people going about their business with umbrellas in hand, some holding bags over their heads as they rushed for shelter and others were just.. Dragging their feet as the rain soaked them to the bone, uncaring of how cold the rain made them feel.
As for you, the rain fell right through you, your form was not in the material plane so you could enjoy the the cool air and the relaxing atmosphere the rain brought without having to worry about getting wet.
It was quite interesting to see so many people out and about, according to what Tanner and Tano-san had said, Night City had about 6 million people living in it. A truly astounding number, and sadly a good fraction of them were involved with gangs. You hope that as you grow in power you could do something about that in the future.
"OOoooOooOOOORGIATIC!" A manly voice moaned through loudspeakers as a colorful ad popped up on a nearby screen. "All pleasure! From All Foods! Provides three hundred thirty percent of daily vitamins!"
Now, speaking of Night City, the sheer amount of ads everywhere is startling! You can't help but notice, it was hard not to, there were massive screens on the street, on buildings, and even from the vending machines, each and every one of them playing jingles and commercials for various products, even the outright pornographic ones like that one ad that was several stories tall, the one depicting a muscular and naked man with many hands touching him with a good number of them reaching down between his legs and they all blasted these obscene words but aside from all the downright lewd ads, there was a fair amount that was alright. You admit you can't help but think it odd that so many were so... sexual in nature!
You are torn from your thoughts by the sound of breaking glass. You look around and see that no one seems to be paying any attention to it but something pulled your attention toward it and you immediately sense an Injustice taking place.
The feeling takes you to a nearby parking lot, three shady figures have broken the window and were making their way inside.
"Hurry up, you gonk! Before someone calls the pigs!" A mohawked man with a camera lens for eyes hissed as he made his way inside, behind him were two others, a man and a woman. The former looked like he had been living off the streets for a while with how dirty he was and the latter just wore an oversized leather jacket that did little to hide her nearly naked body.
The woman did not appreciate being told what to do and snapped back. "YOU try getting in with no shoes!"
"Quiet!" The dirty-looking man ordered, "Just grab what you can and then we leave. Got it?"
Oh, not on your watch.
How will you deal with them?

[X] (Montoya) Fill out the paperwork, you're already a week behind and those reports need to be filed yesterday. (Mandatory) (- 1 action)
[X] (Montoya) Check in with Captain Wei
April 11, 2075
Det. Tanner Montoya
Night City, Watson, Little China
Tanner will forever thank his lucky stars and modern technology, having a cybernetic arm has completely eliminated cramps as long as he writes with it. He has spent the last few hours filling up paperwork, catching up on the Barnaby case, the cyberpsycho incident, requisitioning a new sidearm, and the incident report for Wetmore but finally, he was at least able to finish his reports for the Barnaby case.
Goddamnit, sometimes it felt like his captain really hated him for saddling him with all this paperwork. It's SOP, Montoya. We need proper documentation Montoya! Why couldn't they just use the stuff they confiscate from perps instead? He'll have to bring it up to Captain Wei at some point. Speaking of Captain Wei, they haven't had the chance to talk since he got out of the hospital.
He looked at his paperwork and the time, then back to the rest of his paperwork. It wasn't going anywhere he's effectively benched for the rest of the week…
Tossing his pen at his desk, Tanner Montoya got up to his feet and stretched his stiff muscles, numerous joints popping and cracking as they do after staying in one position for so long and picked up his reports for the Barnaby Case and eventually sauntered his way over to the Captain's office, passing by his fellow men and women in blue.
"Montoya." A fellow cop gave him a passing nod in greeting which he duly returned. A number of cops were in the precinct today, some were filing paperwork while the rest were on desk duty with the occasional officer or two coming in to bring in a perp for arrests or interrogation. Actually, he hasn't seen this many officers in the precinct at once, now that he thought about it. What's going on?
"If you're wondering why there are so many officers here, it's because of that cyberpsycho attack." A dry voice said as soon as he went into Captain Wei's office, its owner and occupant not even looking up from her desk as she too was doing paperwork. "With a cop dead, a lot of gangs are lying low at the moment, especially around NCPD precincts. Thank god, but once it all dies down, this place will be as empty as a dorphhead's bank account."
"Captain Wei." Tanner greeted her as a subordinate should.
"Detective Montoya." She greeted back, dotting her Is and crossing her Ts before setting her pen down to look up at him. "What do you want?"
"I have the reports for the Barnaby case." Tanner held up the documents in his hand.
The captain eyed the files in his hands for a moment. "In triplicate?"
"In triplicate." He affirmed with a nod, everything that was ever needed to know about the case is all in these files.
"Good. Good work. Just leave it on my desk." She gestured to her table to pick up her pen, "Dismissed."
With a nod, Tanner made to leave for the door when she called out. "Oh and Montoya?" He turned to look at his commanding officer who now held him in a death glare. "If you ever get yourself in a situation like that again? I will glue your ass to your desk for the rest of the year. Understood?"
"Yes Ma'am." He immediately responded, with a nod.
"Dismissed."
Tanner left the captain's office and the door unfolded shut behind him. Well, that went well. He thought with some relief, he honestly thought that she was going to let him have it there but then again, he did almost die…
"Hey Montoya!" A voice called out, turning, Tanner found a familiar face walking up to him.
"Lycan?" The detective smiled as recognition lit up in his eyes. "Back on your feet already?"
"I still got a job to do, Choom." He shrugs before nervously rubbing his nose. "Hey uh… I've been talking to that ripperdoc, the one in Cherry Blossom Market, from the cyberpsycho attack?" Tanner felt ice go down his spine.
"Yeah…? Did she… say anything?"
"Yeah." Tanner was going to kill her. He's not ready to be a high priest! "Said you saved my life." Oh. "I owe you one, choom." He gave raised a hand and froze, as if not knowing what to do with it before awkwardly patting him on the shoulder. "And uh… maybe you'd like to grab a drink sometime?"
What does Tanner say?
[ ] Sure, sounds like fun!
[ ] Like, a drink or a drink?
[ ] Sure, want me to invite Cox along?
