and if there are any disputes over the wording/intent of the contract then they must engage ins a serious shadow duel/children's card game with the loser being banished to the shadow realm :V

Feels like, for instance, the god of contracts might give Dex some trouble for the way he double-crossed you, since you and Dex did have a deal, and you did technically deliver the goods (albeit the chip would have had to be extracted, but still, at that point it presumably could have been done safely)

    "And that Ends this Session of Strange Sights of Night City…remember to Purify your water, secure your lunch and have an iron handy…peace." The end phrase was like water as you saw the record light go dim as the drone hovering above you.

    Wow, another day of looking over the abandoned blood and oil-soaked ruins of Night City.

    And to think it had started as something of a hobby, urban engineering, and Parkor to keep you fit? Life had a funny way of surprising you.

    You originally brought the damn camera because it was cheap, and because you wanted to see how many tricks you could do; and the rest kinda evolved from there.

    You go around jumping around some of the shadier parts of the city, abandoned houses, apartments, and squatter dens, trying to push your luck in seeing how many things you can see before one of the gangs ran you off.

    But that changed a while ago when you saw something bizarre.

    And not the "Corpo Heist prep spot." or the "Gang Graffiti Art Den." or even the odd "Cult Sacrifice den" that popped up time and time again in Pacifica. No, you saw something TRUELY strange.

    It was an old Makeshift Altar of sorts, adorned with little idols that in the right hit of the sun seemed to glow with light.

    That was when the little gang that ran the place ran you out with bullets, swears, and hitting you at least once. It hurt like hell, but you managed to get away from it.

    You looked down at the bullet scar and sighed. "That's what I get for getting careless."

    The last you saw of that place was it being raided by…someone, NCPD, Militech or Arasaka, you couldn't tell from the distance you saw the raid from, you didn't dare get closer, you didn't want to end up dead.
    But it lit something, something primal, something scary, and by god seeing, and searching for the obscure and the bizarre. It was fun, it was…something you'd been looking for.

    It was your self-appointed purpose to see where this hole ended.

    Oh, speaking of which.

    RunningSeer: I'm telling you Eye, There is stranger unnatural shit in Night City…I know I've said this song and dance before, but I'm right strange powers are afoot.

    Bloody Eye: We've been doing this for months, chasing urban legends and odd sightings, but where has that gotten us besides looking crazy.

    Sleepy Sightseer: The term is Eccentric Eye.

    Bloody Eye:The point is…I'm running out of patience for this…I want to believe…but I don't want to go to the nut house over it.

    Sleepy Sightseer: Hey man, He's just worked up, weird shit has been kinda rare lately. I mean, its just…you know.

    RunningSeer: I know…ever since we found that ghost I've been hoping to find more. I mean Night City is…well kinda cursed, Founder is murdered, the bizarre happenings every now and then in the 2020s…The Nuke…I just thought that something would linger outside our understanding for us to find.

    Sleepy Sightseer: I think we'll find something, Strange shit always happens in Night City.

    You opened the door to your Weirdness Wall and removed yet another string connecting the building you were in from the rest of the wall. Another false start, maybe try later at night?

    No…you had work, perhaps on the next day off?

    Hmm, something had changed in the city…a new energy of sorts?

    Whatever it was it could wait, you had a busy day tomorrow in the Newsroom, doing the technical work and all the other things a Media needs to be successful.

    One day I'll find something as weird as the thing that inspired me. One Day.

    AN: Suddenly Ghosthunters, Night City Edition.

    It came to me that some people would enjoy looking for the openly strange and macabre in Night City, without dying, and made this as to elaborate the idea.

    Don't know if its in any way canon, but by Avaes, someone in Night City would form a group to look for weird "Non-Corpo" related supernatural shit.

    I hope you all enjoy this little thing, maybe I'll make more.

    • I would like it we are the only god in the quest. Cyberpunk 2077 is big enough that it does not need to get complicated with the introduction of other gods. Having other gods means we would have to react to them instead of reacting to the people, megacorps and governments in Cyberpunk 2077.

    You arrive inside Tano Asa's clinic to the sound of muttered prayers and the smell of burning incense. Tano Asa, the Ripperdoc of Cherry Blossom Market had her head bowed in a prayer as she faced you and as your divine form shifted into the material plane, she dropped into a kowtow. "Oh Mighty God, I, your humble servant thank you for blessing my clinic with your divine presence."

    Well, this one certainly is quite different from how your other follower usually treats you. You give her a warm smile despite of your blank and featureless face. 'There is no need to prostrate yourself before me, Tano Asa.'

    As her name spills from your lips, the ripperdoc visibly shivered, having one's name uttered by a god means much and the fact that you already knew of her name made her heart pound. Her hunched over form tenses as she dared herself to catch a glimpse of you but quickly ducked her head back down. "I… It is improper for me to not give you proper respect." She stammered.

    'Rise, Tano Asa.' You gently say and the ripperdoc slowly, reluctantly stood up to properly face you and from what you can see, she has recovered well from the attack that had injured her. Her right eye was completely unsalvageable and in it's place, a rather low tech visor was installed, wires sticking out of it's side and going into the back of her head. A good chunk of her right arm had to be swapped out for chrome, a shiny new cyberarm grafted into the flesh, four metallic fingers now attached to her hand to substitute the ones she had lost to the cyberpsycho attack. 'You are looking well.' You compliment her.

    The aged ripperdoc flushed, obviously not expecting a complement from a god. "T-thank you, Divine one."

    'You may refer to me by my name, Aequitas Veritas.' You properly introduced yourself to her, the last time you met was not ideal and you admit it's nice to have a proper conversation with her. 'Now why is it that you wished to speak with me?'

    'Of course, Aequitas Veritas.' She bowed, her hands clasped in front of her in a formal display. "Forgive this mortal for her impudence, I simply wish to know you more. Your follower," She hesitated for a moment, unsure if what she was going to say next would be disrespectful or not but forced herself to continue. "Motoya-san, was light with the details."

    You nod, of course. While you had some affection for your first follower, he has no clue on how to spread your word, but that was alright. You could wait and Tanner Montoya was simply not suited for such matters. Besides, he is far better at doing work in your name and that was all you could ever ask from him. 'Very well, what do you wish to know?'

    [Taking the time to talk with the ripperdoc has allowed Tano Asa to become a follower! Induct her into the faith to increase your Monthly faith from 20 to 25 every month

Is there an afterlife? Aves is proof of divinity but that doesn't mean an afterlife exists… does Aves have an afterlife ready for him should he die? He should ask him at some point. If there's an afterlife, there better be a bar!

    "Are you going to keep bitching?" Ah! His arch-nemesis has come here to gloat! The vile villain couldn't simply let him alone to suffer his torturous end, no! Instead, she comes to watch. To witness the slow and inevitable demise of Tanner Montoya, Night City's best detective! The fiend.

    "Will it make my paperwork go by faster?" Tanner finally looked up at see Captain Wei standing in front of him, arms crossed and her lips quirked upwards in an amused grin.

    "No."

    Tanner's face met the desk with an impressive thump. "Then I'll bitch as much as my whiny ass wants, Cap."

    Rolling her eyes, Captain Wei turned to make her leave and get some of her own work done. "Just get your reports done, Montoya. They're-"

    "Overdue." He finished for her with a groan. "I know."

    [Tanner Montoya has FINALLY finished his due reports. He thinks he's actually starting to feel cramps in his cybernetic arm but you think he's just being, as you have heard some mortals say, a whiny little bitch. Montoya can now do 1 extra action per turn!]

But when are they ever? Ahahah!'

    'Santo Domingo suffering from another power outage, Netrunners are cooking the grid once again! Business is going down and gang violence is on the rise in Pacifica! So much for the corporate getaway! In other news, the Personalities are at it again, Night City Streets are filling up with posers! Maybe my face is among the crowd?     It has officially been a month since you arrived in Night and in that time, you managed to gain a follower, a potential follower and asserted your domain. You feel your power steadily growing with each passing day and while very faint, you can hear whispers of your name being uttered by the ignorant who are beginning to hear rumors of the strange events that have been befalling the criminals in Little China.     Law would be a good subdomain. Night City is so bad because the rich and powerful can do whatever they want. Night City is so bad because the gangs can do whatever they want. Being able to enforce Law will remove the rampant corruption within Night City.
