Create Our Own 40k Sector

House Ravnos, is not like most or rather any other Knight Houses. Discovered on distant rim of the already isolated Sanguis Vitam Sector mere decades ago, they are believed to have settled the region during the Dark Age of Technology to establish a human presence against hostile Xenos, particularly Orks as the tale of a legendary knight in their past can attest. Their domain is the Arkhan system or more specifically the Desert Feral World; Arkhan VI, a primitive world that they do not even try to pretend to rule preferring to instead live within their vast fortresses wherein they worship the Omnissiah amongst other activities. What makes this House strange by the standards of Knight Houses is several fold; the first is their method of inheritance; it is up to those who are eligible to vote on who may inherit with the chosen starting with the eldest regardless of gender. This strange method could be explained by their seeming carelessness and nonchalant attitude towards any form of ceremony, the second is that it is enforced through the values they hold on honor and oaths; stronger than is common on a typical Knight World.

In battle the Knights of House Ravnos are a devastating force; skilled in Planetary Assaults they leverage tactical and command flexibility, their mighty Cerastus-Type Knights and truly massive numbers to destroy their foes. They are nonetheless incredibly dangerous for it is not the Mechanicus or the Emperor that holds their loyalty but rather... the renegade Void Hydra Astartes Chapter providing them skilled Super-Heavy assault units on their raids. This has earned them a foe in the Celestial Axes who have tried to oppose them in the past.

Well its done.

Provides a good lore reason for why the Celestial Axes would be prioritizing Centurions over Terminator armor. Clashes with Knights will definitely raise anyone's dakka priority.

I'm gonna need an Astartes chapter for both their enemy and their ally though. Gonna give that some thought too.
The Eagles and the Falcons. Them being friends with the Falcons is enough reason for the Eagles to hate them, and if they dislike the Falcons that's a solid base for a friendship in the Eagles eyes.

"Interesting, you survived a bolt shell through the chest. Oh quit your whining, I'll fix you within a few moments." - Archon Lileathir

The Shining Moon Kabal is a wandering Kabal within the Sanguis Vitam Sector, their fleets often act as mercenaries for the Craftworlds within the sector and are quite an interesting group. While they have dealings in Commorragh, it is only with Arms Dealing and recruiting those wayward souls looking for an escape from the Dark City. They are considered a hybrid between Corsair Fleets and Kabal, as they have fallen into the same vices as their predecessors. While they lack the seniority, they make up for it by having more warriors and modifications. They prefer Scourges to other augmentations, and as such they have been associated with birds of prey. However they have problems working with other Kabals, due to them being former Corsairs amongst True Kabals.

Their Archon Lileathir is also their former Corsair Prince, having gone the way of the Haemonculus. While her modifications have been minor, such as the wings of the Scourge, she has proven to be an effective healer. Whenever she has taken to the battlefield, everyone will know because of her elegant wings and high powered weaponry. They are currently fielding themselves as Mercenaries, and in the employ of Craftworld

...

Will post the Craftworlds of Tae Shann and Kerun Suther later.

So let me see if I've got this right; we've got a half-strength chapter of Renegade Astartes Raiders who have Eldar Allies and were accused of Xenophilia, their Imperial Knight allies in the form of House Ravnos who not only specialize in Planetary Assault with their powerful warmachines and numbers but are also not loyal to the Imperium or Mechanicus, and Xenophile Dark Eldar Mercenaries who seem to be a darker shade of grey rather than black morally. Looking forward to how the Eldar Craftworlds turn up as they're the missing link in this odd alliance.

This is brilliant.

This sector is incredibly fucked up.
On the imperial side, we have all the biggest lunatics with the most unconventional tactics and equipment.
On the 'enemy' side, we have a bunch of legitimately good-ish people from traditionally hostile and/or thoroughly awful groups.

aka: the misfit faction, because enemy of my enemy is too tame. All they're missing a friendly orks, non-uptight Craftworld Eldar, renegade Tau and maybe Necrons to create an alliance of Order.

You know, it's funny - I started rolling things for the Necrons, and one of the results was that they were trying to understand and learn to manipulate the Warp so they could use it themselves. (They were also Silent King loyalists, fought alongside the Nightbringer, viewed anything threatening the supremacy of their dynasty as a hated enemy, and wanted to become perfect machine lifeforms instead of returning to the flesh. If I'm not to busy in the next couple days, I might try writing something up.)

Great, so our local necrons are heretics to their own cause!
They want to become soulbots instead of killing everything with souls.

Alright going to make a Craftworld, hope this goes well.
First Encounter With The Imperium - M36
Biome - Tropical Rainforest
Most Popular Path - Healer
Military Strength - Below Strength
Favored Tactics - Precision Attacks (Kill The Leader)
Favored Units - Harlequins
Favored Aspect Warriors - Warp Spiders
Hero - Warp Spider Exarch Faeleth
Deed Of Legend - Acts as a stalwart enemy of Chaos, and has defeated a Daemon Prince Of Slaanesh.
Allies - Void Hydras
Enemies - Chaos Astartes
The Craftworld of Tae Shann has recently fled into the Sanguis Vitam Sector, and they have fared well. Despite an invasion from a Slaanesh Warband, they held on and defeated the warband in its entirety. However, it was not without losses. They lost many, and would've lost more were it not for Faeleth slaying the Daemon Prince. After the battle was done and the dead were buried, they came across the Void Hydras. It was...Odd during the beginning, as both sides harbored a strange curiosity about each other. But in the end, they became mutual allies of the Sector and defended each other.

When the Void Hydras were attacked, the Craftworld helped them escape to a stable Space Hulk. Both parties defend each other, and in the event of an invasion both will converge on a single position to aid in defense.

Can someone make Kerun Suther?

How about a Guard Regiment and Sororitas Order?
Classification - Imperial Guard
Recruitment Criteria - Abhumans
Nature Of Recruitment - Standard Conscription
Homeworld - Jungle Death World
Regiment Core Units - Armored Attack
Combat Doctrine - Shock & Awe
Loyalty Rating - Undisciplined
Special Equipment - Rare Heavy Weapon (Leman Russ Executioner)
Regiment Creed - For The Homeworld
Regiment Friends - Adepta Sororitas (Order Of The Jade Sword)
Enemies - Warboss Dakkaslinga
=][= Steel Tigers Regiment =][=

The Steel Tigers are an Imperial Guard Regiment on the Ice World of Amur and its Jungle Moon of Timur, and are comprised of tankers and siege breakers. They are made up from the Abhumans that live on the planet, which are known as Pantherans. While many envision them as somewhat savage and horrifying to look at, they're more cuddly than expected. Whenever they go into battle, they often have flags dedicated to their homeworld. In fact, they somehow have acquired a large number of Leman Russ Executioners and break down enemy walls with volleys of plasma shots. If the enemy gets too close for comfort, then they will earn a face full of Mitralock Las. Their regiment has a group of elites, known as the Amur Scrappers. They're skilled in hunting down Orks, and like the Ork Hunters wield the Orks weapons.

Abhumans - Pantheran: Pantherans are similar to Felinids, with feline features and furred limbs, but that's where the similarities end. They're physically stronger and much more durable, most likely from growing up on a Jungle Death World. Unlike Felinids, Pantherans have sharp claws that have proven lethal if used against mortal targets. Such targets often include, Hive Gangers, Genestealer Cultists, and each other to prove that they are the strongest. Due to this, they often have many scars leading to the nicknames 'Scarred Tigers' or 'the Ogryn's Cat'. But they're very affectionate around those they're familiar with, such as the Adepta Sororitas of the Jade Sword Covenant. This leads to them being called 'Fluffs' by some within their Order, and they're one of the few groups with permission to do so.

Original Order - Argent Shroud
Reason For Founding - Standing Force Needed
Flaw - Bad Ecclesiarch Relationship (We like Abhumans!)
Order Demeanor - Uphold The Emperor's Honor
Figure Of Legend - Sister Repentia Ekaterina
Deeds Of Legend - She still lives, and will return them to glory.
Homeworld - Jungle Hive World Timur
Influence Over Homeworld - Undisputable
Order Organization - Unique Organization
Combat Doctrine - Close Combat
Special Equipment - Modified Weapons (Ravager Chainsword)
Order's Belief - Death Cult
Order Strength - Nominal
Allies - Steel Tigers Regiment
Enemy - Warboss Dakkaslinga
=][= The Order Of The Jade Sword =][=

The Order Of The Jade Sword is an Adepta Sororitas Covenant based on the Jungle Moon of Timur, and is close allies with the Steel Tigers Regiment. As such they often trade small jabs towards each other, and are often seen together wherever they deploy. While Timur is much more tame than Amur, it still suffers from a high crime rate and fatality from the Gangers. Luckily, their allies within the Steel Tigers assist in keeping the peace with the Sororitas when the Arbites can't hold back the tide. Their most notable member is Ekaterina, who despite her position as a Repentia is often seen commanding a group of Sisters in battle.

Ravager Chainsword - The Ravager Chainsword is a much more destructive variant of the Eviscerator, as it has twin Chainblades linked together. However it's much heavier than the average Eviscerator, requiring the hardened physique of a survivor to wield. Such as those of Timur or Amur's environment, and many are often seen in the hands of the Sister Repentia.

...

What do you think?

Contact with Imperium: 1; M32 or earlier.
Craftworld Biome: 6; Temperate Rainforest.
Common Path: 8; Path of the Scolar.
Military Strength: 7; Nominal
Favored Tactics: 3; Mechanization
Favored Unit: 7; Ranger
Favored Warrior Aspect: 9; Spectre Wraith
Craftworld Hero: 2; Harlequin(3: Troop Master)
Deed of Hero: 7; Defended Craftworld from Necrons
Allies: 5; Kroot
Enemies: 8; Necrons

So Kerun Suther Eldar seem to be sneaky Necron hating bookworms.

Pff, I'mma say the blank catgirl (human blank-felinid mix clones) imperial guard regiment (1st Cadovan Furries), who also have sororitas friends...are ALSO allied with the Order of the Jade Sword.

The cats love 'em.

Yep, seems like it.

Now, while I'm working on another Craftworld let's have some discussion on how this Sector would function.
...Function? Sector Command and probably a good chunk of the Sector are secretly Chaos cultists who want to secede from the Imperium, a Hive Fleet is subverting Imperial worlds in preparation to eating them with a Shrine World already having been conquered. Of the truly Loyal they're either under strength, technically heretics or at least divergent from the strict orthodoxy and not necessarily on friendly terms with each other.

Then there are the Renegades made up of an over strength Knight House, a half strength Astartes Chapter, various Eldar and possibly even an Order of Psyker loving Sisters of Battle(they'd fit).

This entire Sector is borked and only technically an 'Imperial Sector' on paper let alone in practice. I think it's all very dysfunctional as a traditional Sector.:o
