Come for the Raifus, Stay for the Plot: Girls' Frontline - Baking Time

Eurgh, pls, don't do this. It's scummy. One of each girl.

I, and most of the people I play with, all feel you should only use one copy of each doll. There's no shortage of good ones, and it's cheap to just run the best dolls over and over.
I and many of the people I play with all feel you should use whatever works out best for clearing content and dupe gaming is fair gaming. I run a private military contractor, not my private harem.

There's a bunch of guns that are just blatantly superior to everything else in their class. Grizzly/Welrod, G11, WA2000/SVD, PKP/PK/MG5 are better in every conceivable way than their competition.

Sure, for now you don't really need really tightly streamlined top-end echelons to deal with content but I am always preparing 1-2 events ahead and that means go for the best when you can, however you can, because grinding to level 90/x5 takes time.

And if I want to run 4 ARSMG, 2 HGRF and 2 MGSG echelons in night battle events that means getting multiples of critical T-Dolls. Particularly the handguns because you need a lot of them and most are just nowhere near as good as Grizzly or Welrod for general sustained use.

TLDR: You do you, I do me, nobody uses the word scummy, we all live happy.

The fact that FAL has asymmetrical pants but not a shirt to make a "Right Arm of the Free World" joke annoys me so much. You had the perfect opportunity RIGHT THERE and you missed it.
It's a stocking, actually, not pants.

As far as I can tell. Furniture and costumes is where the real gatcha is.

Tokens, why are you so hard to obtain?

Doing all the dailies and weeklies nets you a total of 40 tokens (I forget exactly which ones give you tokens, but IIRC the "Clear 5 maps", "Repair 15 T-dolls" and "Complete 3 Simulations" definitely give some tokens). Running the 6-4 and 0-4 Logis can give you up to 3 tokens a day (6-4 has a 12 hour duration, 0-4 is 24 hours). I generally ignore 0-4 to run 6-4 and 3 other logis, but now that i've broken 110k for manpower, ammo and rations, i might just start putting more effort into logi.

Assuming you completed all dailies and weeklies, and run Logistic 6-4 and 0-1 consistently every day, theoretically you could earn up to 61 tokens a week.

The trick is to not burn tokens, and just wait for an event where you really, really, really want the stuff. For me, i'm planning on hoarding all my tokens until Christmas, and then I'll do a shitload of radian draw in hopes of getting multiple costumes to get black tickets for FAL's wedding dress and 9A-91's meido dress. I haven't really been very diligent about my dailies and weeklies, but i did some calculations: assuming i follow the above, it's 14 weeks to the new year, at the very best case by that time i'll have earned 854 tokens to spend. I have 350 tokens right now, so that means i'll have 1200 tokens to play with, which is either 12 pulls of whatever event is ongoing, or 20 pulls of radiant. Decisions, decisions...

Left to Right: Alina (Red ID, Loader), Sonya (Orange ID, Gunner), and Galina (Blue ID, Spotter)
Note that their initials spell AGS. It's a cute extra that Terras did.

I am the madman who has raised two M2HBs to lvl 100 and SL10, has a third at lvl 70, and the 4th noob is currently lvl 30 in a noob squad.
<.<
>.>

I don't even particularly like M2HB's design. But that dakka. Man, that dakka. So that's why I run her so much.

...I got two Grizzlies yesterday and retired them both because I figured one was enough. Oops.

...and then i got a grizzly just now from 130/130/130/130, lol.

Hmm maybe if I get another dupe G41 I should keep her aside for raising another G41 for an AR shred squad.

...and now I remember that screenshot Dirtnap showed me with like a dozen G11 dupes :V

Didn't have that many. Had enough to 5x her on CN, which is 3 dupes. This is why I can't get one on EN T_T

I forgot to tell you that you should probably wait until the start of the next month. I haven't really been paying attention but if I remember right the card always expires on the first of the next month, so it's detrimental if you buy it halfway through the month. However I'm not 100% sure on this. Check your expiration date to see what it says.

This is wrong. It's good for 30 days, period. Not first of month to last of month.

There is a shortage of good T-dolls in my barracks. I resorted to using a second M14 because I couldn't get anyone better for my second RF team.

It's fine to play games by your own extra rules, but I think it's rude be morally judgmental about how other people choose to play. Don't call people "scummy" for playing a PvE game differently than you.

Worse news, I did the same
Broke news, I have no M1919.

I had the same happen. I had retired her before I got her costume because I really don't like her default design. I'm not sure if I like her costume more than the default or not.

She drops from 5-4 every 50 runs or so. I use that mission for grinding from level 70 to 80. Its main advantage over other missions is being able to one-turn clear it from the command post. This was nice when I only had 5 echelons and still useful when I'm leveling one team by autobattling 1-2.

I have all 4 costumes, most of the Sangvis Ferri furniture, and all of the two 4 star furniture sets trying to get Lee-Enfield's costume.

As a Marine I am obligated to like M1919A4.

I may partially understand where you're coming from but what do you mean by scummy? Not that I'm going to level multiple copies (didn't know you could do that actually...) but I'm just curious.

I personally belong in the "I think it's scummy" camp. Particularly because it removes the fun and challenge of trying to fit every girl into an echelon as well as the aspects of loss and gain that you have to factor in when building teams. It trivializes the game, which is already made rather trivial via being a mobile game, if you just run the same girls in every echelon outside of memes.

I feel a lot more immersed in the game when you have to pick and choose between your personnel. It makes you feel like an actual base commander who has to build teams based on the unique characteristics of each individual soldier that are in limited supply. Running the same 5-stars in every AR/SMG doesn't seem all that fun to me because it doesn't make the game engaging at all outside of "I gotta grind all my 416s so I can have the best teams ever". I also feel that a majority of people who run only high-tiers don't really engage with the game and instead just read strategy guides and pick whatever is the strongest without actually thinking about the mechanics of the game involved. I feel it also goes against the spirit of the devs as they try to balance all the rarities with each other, especially with the digimind updates that help to make the 2-star dolls you stick with much better.

However that's just my honest opinion on the matter. You are free to do whatever you want because it's a PvE game.

Also a lore question: I did the first two Night missions and saw that MP5 was giving out food to the other T-Dolls in the unit. My echelons also require rations (and according to the news ticker that pops up on random event nodes, they apparently don't need to actually be what humans would consider edible) so does that mean T-Dolls break down organic material for fuel? Or are they themselves partially organic in nature?

T-dolls can eat human food. The rations are hinted at to be something akin to normal human food since human rights groups get mad about the T-dolls getting more food than people.

There is a shortage of good T-dolls in my barracks. I resorted to using a second M14 because I couldn't get anyone better for my second RF team.

FN-49, VM59, G43 are all good RFs you can use and are easy to get. o_O FN-49 is worth the investment because she gets a very nice ROF buff skill with her digimind upgrade later on.

This. In game, the dolls are already treated as a mass produced disposable tool by the majority of the populace. They are used until they are broken or something better comes along. In which at that point, the dolls are tossed into the trash bin. Using multiple copies is no different to having the exact same mindset as those in game populace.

Again, this a game so you are free to do whatever you want.

We can thank MICA's Kojima-level meta-writing for that. This is also reinforced by the fact that we have Skorpion outright state that she was abandoned by her previous commander when shit hit the fan, and if not for the AR Team she would be as good as dead. So yeah T-dolls are thrown away like fodder when they aren't needed in the setting, Kryuger appears to have a similar mindset.

But you know, they are just robots right? It's not like they are self-aware and have feelings or anything. :V

Also gotta love RO's line from 4-3N

"Fuck the laws of robotics!!!"

T-dolls can eat human food. The rations are hinted at to be something akin to normal human food since human rights groups get mad about the T-dolls getting more food than people.

And on the flip side, the Gain Rations event implies your MREs are being made from expired food. Most likely, the HRGs are going 'we don't have enough food -> Dolls are eating food -> Dolls look human -> Dolls are stealing food from humans! Enrage!'. Even if Dolls are getting food people can't eat, and the real problem is the economy being fucked up enough for there to be a large amount of food waste and a large amount of starving populace at the same time.

Y'know, like how it is IRL.

People are kinda shit at recognising the actual causes of their problems. 'Human Rights Groups' have, by their implicit nature, already decided Dolls are the problem and that humans need to be treated better than them, and so every problem in their eyes becomes reframed to make the Dolls at fault. Welcome to human nature.

Tl;dr 'Human Rights Groups' are gonna get mad at Dolls anyway, this hardly makes their assessments accurate.

On the technical specifics, I figure Dolls eating is a combination of 'if they can do this they are more relatable' and as a way of recharging themselves when operating away from convenient charging points (which, away from cities and bases, is likely 'most of the time').

416's the only one you'll ever need~
(She shows up quite a lot but is still very good to have, especially if you use her as a shrimp or vector buffer.)

We can thank MICA's Kojima-level meta-writing for that.
Now now, don't insult MICA like that. They lack his....creepier tendencies.
But you know, they are just robots right? It's not like they are self-aware and have feelings or anything. :V
I think people fail to pay attention to dolls if they believe this.
"Fuck the laws of robotics!!!"
That was great though.
Yes, she's a nuke grenader. Also has a nice tile, with huge FP buff.
SR-3MP. She's the top damage SMG right now, AR tier damage.

Hey, if you are gonna play that card you better remember that getting rid of duplicates is basically you turning away a girl that was all in on working for you just because you have another one of the same model already.

IDW looks so smug because she's the one who made it to the base first. What about the the others?:V

Unrelatdedly, I was on the shop to make a purchase, the first one after a while, and then Kalina was all like:

*Parapharesed*"You know, I actually don't like money that much, I just like other things less."*Parapharesed*

Jesus, girl. Are you messing with me? Cause if you aren't, you just dropped a bomb here. Managing the waifu army is already trouble enough, there's no time to worry about possible dark and troubled pasts of the support staff.

"To be honest... I don't like money that much... Not that there's anything I like better."
The exact quote.
