Civilization VI: AKA: Screw you and your Aztec musketmen, Montezuma!

Yeah and the Carthaginians of which DIdo was Queen seemed may been a tad fundamentalists about it given I seem to recall reading how as other Phoenician groups were putting substitutes for the whole child sacrificing bit over the centuries more and more the Carthaginians apparently decreased the number of substitutes and sacrificed more children as the centuries went on though we don't know why given we don't exactly have much in the way of surviving written records so we have to go by what we can dig up and what was written by other people.

Haven't seen civ players so thirsty since I saw Poland get a perfect Petra.

Edit: fixed spelling

Eleanor of Aquitaine, by all accounts reputedly the most beautiful woman in all of Europe in her time and famed for her charms as well as being extroverted, lively, intelligent, and strong-willed. Also played by the legendary Actress Katherine Hepburn in the academy award winning movie the Lion in Winter.

Should make for a interesting play-though or alternatively as a interesting opponent.

I just like how the introductionary video felt the need to point out that gaining more cities is advantageous for everyone.

Also, if anyone asks, Eleanor is Loyalty-flipping cities with the Power of Love like a magical girl. Is why her leader ability is named that.

She flips cities by being so hot as to inspire mass horniness that leads to people converting to France/England.

I KNEW THAT EFFECT AT THE START WAS A MAGICAL GIRL TRANSFORMATION!

Now, time to debate whether her French or English dress is her magical girl form.

Local Queen steals cities because she's hotter than everyone else. - Civ Tribune, 2019

The goddess of MG's has three faces.

The wholesome Sailor Moon

The white devil Nanoha

And the savior of all Madokami.

And on speed dial she has Dante of Devil May Cry.
Three faced goddess? I'm almost afraid to ask, but which of those three is the Maiden, which is the Mother, and which is the Crone?

I know traditionally that's what happens with three interconnected females, but honestly I really wasn't going for that this time. I was just thinking that they're the biggest three Magical Girl shows with distinctive styles.

Really it's more like, King/General/Hierophant then Mother/Maiden/Crone.

Maiden is Sailor Moon.

Mother is Nanoha (because she's a teacher and mother).

Madokami is the Crone (on account that she usually didn't mind be called Old Lady when she's on good mood. Usually.)

So apparently there's decent evidence that Civ VI will break from tradition and have at least a third expansion pack.

So let's go and guess the next set of civs.
