This world takes place in a timeline where jinchuuriki are created in a different manner. Rather than weapons harnessing the power of a tailed beast, jinchuuriki are now fleshy prisons for the beast, as well as the host. To keep the powers of the demon at bay, the host's consciousness is shoved deep within themselves, sealed with their powers. As a result, the bijuu is the dominant personality. But with none of their terrifying powers, they are allowed to roam as they please... so long as they are law-abiding, of course.
You are one of the tailed beasts, a former mighty demon now reduced to a mere human. Carve your path in life as you wish, but first you must decide on what bijuu you are...
[] Shukaku, the One-Tailed Tanuki. A wild and lecherous creature that used to have control over the sands. Your new body has made it significantly easier for you to indulge in your vices, but losing most of you power makes you more vulnerable to law enforcement.
[] Matatabi, the Two-Tailed Cat. Often brooding and moody, with former ties to the world of spirits. Losing your connection with the afterlife has been a major shock for you, for the world of the living has many hassles for you and there is nothing for you to escape to.
[] Isobu, the Three-Tailed Turtle. A carefree drifter from the seas that now can no longer swim for extensive periods of time. It's taken some time to adjust, but drifting around land is just as soothing.
[] Son Goku, the Four-Tailed Monkey. With a fierce and royal attitude, being reduced to a mere human has certainly wounded your ego. Your demands are much harder to reach people that now see themselves as either your equal or above you.
[] Kokuo, the Five-Tailed Creature. With your new body, you at least can now identify as a type of creature. But your desires do not stop there. There's quite a bit of hole left to fill in your heart.
[] Saiken, the Six-Tailed Slug. Stripped of most of your might and fearsome presence, it has been much harder to collect various treasures and keep your hold on them.
[] Choumei, the Seven-Tailed Beetle. Once the queen of the skies, you are now grounded. Your constant need to be praised and pampered has gone unquenched, and this greatly perturbs you. Those dreck need to learn their place...
[] Gyuki, the Eight-Tailed Ushi-Oni. A warrior and lover of battle, you have taken being reduced to human form quite well. You are no longer easily able to defeat any opponent you face, but the concept of a challenge is a welcome addition to your life.
[] Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox. Bloodthirsty and vicious, with your new lack of power fueling your rage even more. The humans will pay for locking you inside one of their own. You'll find a way out of your body, even if you have to rip yourself from it.

This is my retry at this Quest once more, I feel like I can do something with it. However, if you want to read my first attempt at the quest, here is the link.

Databooks:
These will contain the information about a character, including their stats and available techniques.
Stats:
The stat system is merely the canon stat system, except doubled. So a 5 in Kishimoto's system would be a 10 in mine. Rather skilled people can earn a 10+, showing great skill or natural talent in a stat. More rarely, someone can earn the highest stat possible, a 10++. This means a person excels in the stat or is an extreme prodigy. The eight stats are as follows:
-Ninjutsu: How skilled, strong, and knowledgeable you are in using Ninjutsu techniques. -Taijutsu: How skilled and knowledgeable you are in hand to hand and weaponry skills. -Genjutsu: How skilled, strong, and knowledgeable you are in using and recognizing Genjutsu techniques. -Intelligence: A more passive stat, this is how smart, cunning, and aware you are in all situations. -Strength: How physically strong you are. It also doubles as your durability stat. -Speed: How physically fast you are. Also includes general agility an dexterity. -Stamina: This is how much energy, both physical and chakra wise, you have. -Hand Seals: How quick you can fire out jutsu. It also doubles as your chakra control stat.
Chakra Costs:
Most jutsu need a certain amount of chakra to utilize. From lowest to highest, the costs are as follows: None, Minimal, Low, Medium, High, Massive, Monstrous, Fatal.
There's no main correlation to these costs and the stamina stat. I'll generally just eyeball them and scope out how a character is doing stamina wise by feel. But in general, a man with 10 stamina could probably spam more high cost jutsu than a man with 5 stamina.
Game Overs:
Should the event arises where you guys get killed, do not worry! For each arc, you will be afforded 3 lives. You spend one life and restart from the place you died at. However, should you continue to die after the 3 lives are up, then you'll restart from where you died, but now with permanent consequences. Too many deaths could put you in a truly unwinnable situation in the plot and shunt you towards a bad ending! However, your lives refresh at the start of every new arc.
Also, should you be fighting with an ally and they get killed, I will give you the chance to use one of your lives to make sure they survive. Any fatal or reasonably dangerous moment will be met with a Critical Moment! tag.
Alignments:
DnD standard fare will be here with the good/evil and law/chaos axes. But now the square is made into a cube with a third axis added showing the honor of a character. Honorable, Quasihonorable, and Dishonorable are the three elements of this alignment axis, and they simply mean if character is generally trustworthy, a wild card, or untrustworthy respectively.
Relationships:
Relationships go from -10 to 10, with 0 meaning neutral. Easy enough to understand! While it differs between characters, generally you need a 6 or 7 to initiate a romance, and getting below a -7 means archenemy territory.
The Quest's Relation to Canon Naruto:
I utilize Pyro's modification of the canon setting, known amongst others as the Pyroverse. It's far more fleshed out as a setting with many additional characters. He has developed it over time as the manga progressed, generally following it until he started disagreeing with many things past the Fourth World War arc, either because he disliked them or they irreconcilably contradicted setting elements he had already made.

Ninjutsu:
Cursed Seal of Heaven:
A special seal created by Orochimaru. The Cursed Seal of Heaven greatly increases the user's physical stats and ninjutsu greatly, much like its counterparts, the Cursed Seals of Sea and Earth. However, overuse tends to poison the user with demonic energy. The seal consists of three tomoe (the design known as mitsudomoe), similar to the Sharingan, which when activated, the seal turns orange-red and spreads flame-like markings across Kurama's body.
Upon going to the second level of the cursed seal, Kurama's skin turns crimson red, his hair a bright orange, and gains a fox-like head and claws, his eyes shining violet, and nine tails, eight of them forming two wings, and one tail jutting out of his lower back. In this form, Kurama's stats greatly increase and he can use his wings as shields for attacks and can even glide in the air for a short period of time. His tail acts as a third arm, allowing Kurama to use it to attack, grapple enemies, and more. Finally, his wings can split apart, giving Kurama access to nine tails that can be used all at once.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Curse Technique: Jashin's Blessing:
Through experimentation performed on him by the other members of the Jashin cult, Kurama has gained a form of immortality. With this power, Kurama can survive any fatal injury and dismemberment. Even if he is decapitated he can still live, although he will be unable to fully control his body without being attached to it. As long as Kurama has killed in the last six months, he will be unable to die
Chakra Use: None.
Demonic Sensing:
After entrenching himself with various demonic abilities, plus with Kurama's own natural knowledge of the dark arts, Kurama can now easily sense any demonic presence in a wide area.
Chakra Use: None.
Fire Release: Great Fireball:
A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and expelled from the mouth in a massive orb of roaring flame. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface. This technique apparently requires more than average chakra reserves and most genin should not be able to do this technique.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Fire Release: Great Fire Stream:
The user takes a deep breath and then exhales a steady stream of flame.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Fire Release: Flaming Feet of Swiftness:
After forming the needed seals, the user's fire chakra will encase their feet, adding burning power to their taijutsu kick attacks. With the use of additional chakra, the user can launch short jets of fire chakra to propel themselves short distances, with a draining rate of fire for prolonged speed.
Chakra Use: Medium, but requires upkeep.
Fire Release: Flaming Fists of Destruction:
After forming the needed seals, the user's fire chakra will encase their hands, adding burning power to their taijutsu attacks. With the use of additional chakra, the user can launch blasts of fire chakra towards the opponent at high speeds, with a high rate of fire.
Chakra Use: Medium, but requires upkeep.
Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire:
This technique creates a volley of small fireballs, which are spat out of the user's mouth, flying wildly in every direction and assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can be hidden within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Fire Release: Wrathful Fire Stream:
A variation of Great Fire Stream, Kurama merely adds more chakra and manipulates the stream of flame into a wide bolt of fire that has a much greater range than before. The power of this jutsu can even melt rocks.
Chakra Use: High.
Fox Fire:
Due to Kurama's unique chakra faintly mixing into his vessel's body, all fire jutsu that would be used is enhanced to be more powerful. Along with the empowering of fire jutsu, the Fox Fire is notable for possible unique mutations of the fire release.
Pyro thought of this kinda-alignment system. These will modify Kurama's personality a bit and will be ranked in numerical increments in the databook section below. The mechanics will come once the seal starts being broken down, in which the points can be cashed in for thematic abilities. You can remain ignorant if you wish, but I've placed the full skill trees at the bottom of Kurama's databook if you desire planning ahead.
-Man: The cunning and versatile one. The wrath is always there, but it could be hiding behind a stoic expression. Or it could be exploding full force. Man is unpredictable, but also is held to personal honor and companionship that humans desire.
-Beast: The ferocious and wild one. The wrath is defensive and can be unleashed in a primal fury. The beast is not just a wild animal; they are fiercely protective of their pack and territory.
-Monster: The silent and vindictive one. The wrath is a terrible vengeance that will harry the prey and torment them. The monster takes from those that cross them, destroying everything they care about until their lives are ruined.
-Demon: The sadistic and destructive one. The wrath is an intense, raw anger that is ever prevalent. Woe be to those that stand in the demon's way.
Man:
First Skill: The Spirit of Man:
Unlocked at 20 points. Humanity is known for their stubbornness and determination. Once per arc, you can choose to tank a blow that would have normally killed you.
Second Skill: The Cunning of Man:
Unlocked at 40 points. Humanity has always been a source of ingenuity, and in further embracing your human body, you have become more familiar with their techniques. Gain +1 to ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. Your ways with words have also become more potent, increasing your ability to intimidate others without making a big scene about how you're a demon or flooding an entire room with killing intent.
Third Skill: Man's Ingenuity:
Unlocked at 60 points. Gain a further +1 in all three jutsu scores. In addition, you can choose to become highly skilled in an element, fighting style, or genjutsu sense; or you can gain a second element, fighting style, or genjutsu sense. You also now carry yourself in a way that make people uneasy around you. Not in a manner that would raise suspicion, but in a manner that makes them not want to mess with you or get on your bad side.
Fourth Skill: The Bond of Men:
Unlocked at 80 points. You become stronger when in the presence of a companion, significantly moreso if they are in danger. People are more willing to follow you, whether it be out of awe, respect, or intimidation. Once more can you enhance an element, fighting style, or genjutsu sense, or gain another one.
Final Skill: The Apex of Humanity:
Unlocked at 100 points. Gain +1 intelligence. Once more can you enhance an element, fighting style, or genjutsu sense, or gain another one. You also gain a sense of the weak points of objects or beings just by glancing at them.
Beast
First Skill: The Heart of the Beast:
Unlocked at 20 points. Beasts can be ferocious, but they will always stick with the pack and protect their close kin. Gain a summoning contract with foxes.
Second Skill: The Nature of the Beast:
Unlocked at 40 points. Beasts were the first to harness the power of natural energy, with only very few humans able to wield its power. You can now gather natural energy to enhance your senses and detection. In addition, you can now wield your raw, bestial power and can tap into up to two tails as a normal jinchuuriki would. The more tails manifested, the more your rational thoughts slip away.
Third Skill: The Beast's Pack:
Unlocked at 60 points. With natural energy, you can now faintly sense the location of the foxes, as well as your close companions. You can now access up to four tails as a normal jinchuuriki would. That's pretty rad.
Fourth Skill: Power of the Beast:
Unlocked at 80 points. You can now enhance your ninjutsu with natural energy, tapping into the fabled powers of senjutsu without access to sage mode. You can now access up to six tails as a normal jinchuuriki would. What could possibly be better than this?
Final Skill: King of the Beasts:
Unlocked at 100 points. All animals now recognize your power and superiority. With natural energy, you can influence the actions of animals, with summon animals able to resist due to their higher intellect. You can now access up to eight tails as a normal jinchuuriki would. The seal's there, so no breaking out for you. But this is pretty close.
Monster:
First Skill: The Soul of the Monster:
Unlocked at 20 points. Many would not think that a monster even has a soul, but they are wrong. Their soul is twisted and black, filled with the desire to maim those that have wronged them. Gain +1 to all stats when facing an opponent marked by the monster's desire.
Second Skill: The Curse of the Monster:
Unlocked at 40 points. Monsters are the things lurking in the dark of tales to warn children so that they behave. They are creatures of nightmares, and your hatred is akin to them. Gain +1 to hand seals, stamina, and ninjutsu as your chakra becomes more potent. An opponent marked by the monster's desire will now have misfortune befall them quite often as the shadows torment them.
Third Skill: The Monster's Shadow:
Unlocked at 60 points. You can now travel through shadows and appear through any other shadow nearby. You can meld shadows into different shapes and modify their properties so they can grip or stab. Gain a further +1 to hand seals, stamina, and ninjutsu as your chakra becomes more potent. People now have a natural tendency to avoid you out of fear. Gain +2 to all stats when facing an opponent marked by the monster's desire.
Fourth Skill: The Voracious Monster:
Unlocked at 80 points. The threshold of anger needed to mark someone with the monster's desire is now drastically reduced. The shadows now serve you, automatically moving of their own accord to assist you when needed. Your killing intent is the stuff of nightmares and is now capable of injuring others and downright killing the weak on spot.
Final Skill: The Unchained Monster:
Unlocked at 100 points. You are now a walking nightmare. Gain +3 to all stats when facing an opponent marked by the monster's desire. You now radiate sheer menace from your chakra that can frighten even the strongest of ninja. Your killing intent unleashes the monster hiding in your shadows, bringing a powerful demon to your side for a short amount of time.
Demon:
First Skill: The Blood of the Demon:
Unlocked at 20 points. The demon strives to destroy and take lives. This is their lifeblood. Once per arc, you can choose to enter a berserk state for a short amount of time, greatly increasing your strength at the cost of reason.
Second Skill: The Power of the Demon:
Unlocked at 40 points. Draw upon your dark lineage and tap into the power left by your progenitor, the Jubi. You can now rage three times per arc. Gain +1 to power, speed, and stamina as your body grows in size to accomodate these changes. You can now draw in dark energy to modify your body as Jugo can, but without the drawbacks.
Third Skill: Demon's Fire:
Unlocked at 60 points. You can now rage five times per arc. Gain another +1 to power, speed, and stamina as your body grows in size to accomodate these changes. When raging, gain +1 to power for the duration of the berserk state. When drawing in dark energy, blasts of chakra can be modified into fire chakra instead.
Fourth Skill: Demon's Might:
Unlocked at 80 points. You can now rage ten times per arc. When raging, gain +2 to power for the duration of the berserk state. Your dark energy now weakens things around you, poisoning their vitality or cracking their structure. Quite the daunting combination with your mad demon gains.
Final Skill: Demon's Hellfire:
Unlocked at 100 points. You can now rage once per day. When raging, gain +3 to power for the duration of the berserk state. You now have unlocked Blaze Release. Not the lame watered-down version the Sharingan uses, either. This stuff burns real fast.
Taijutsu:
Execution Fist:
Execution Fist is the fighting style of Kirigakure's hunter-nins. This style combines external martial arts with soft techniques to result in a fighting style that punishes the opponent should they try an attack. Users of the Execution Fist are trained to avoid and misdirect attacks, countering them with debilitating strikes that snap joints out of place or even break bones. The Execution Fist was developed to completely debilitate an opponent, leaving them unable to fight back.
Genjutsu:
Bone Breaker:
After making handseals, the user touches some part of the opponent's body. The victim will then feel their bone breaking, stunning them heavily from shock and fear. However, the illusion is quickly shattered when the opponent realizes that their bones aren't broken.
Chakra Use: Medium
Touch of Paralysis:
A simple but potent touch genjutsu that numbs whatever is touched to the point that it cannot move. Usually used on limbs in hand-to-hand combat.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Touch of Darkness:
A simple but potent touch genjutsu that knocks out the opponent upon contact with their head.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Touch of Irritation:
A simple but potent genjutsu that afflicts whatever is touched with an illusory rash that is very, very itchy.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Touch of Distortion:
A simple but potent genjutsu that gives the opponent double vision upon contact with their head.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Internal Agony:
Azasuke uses this genjutsu once he injures someone with his Execution Fist. An intense pain will spread from the source of the injury and consume the target's body, leaving them unable to move due to the sheer intensity of the pain.
Chakra Use: Medium.
Ninjutsu:
Curse Technique: Jashin's Blessing:
Through experimentation performed on him by the other members of the Jashin cult, Dosu has gained a form of immortality. With this power, Dosu can survive any fatal injury and dismemberment. Even if he is decapitated he can still live, although he will be unable to fully control his body without being attached to it. As long as Dosu has killed in the last six months, he will be unable to die
Chakra Use: None.
Resonating Echo Drill:
This technique can be used as a blanket term for the majority of Dosu's techniques. The Resonating Echo Speaker located on his arm is used to amplify the sound waves from arm movements to attack his opponent. By generating enough sound, Dosu can use his chakra to redirect the waves in mid-air to his intended target. By damaging the victim's inner ear, the victim is rendered off-balance and nauseous. This is so severe that enemies can be rendered physically sick by the attack.
By sending the sound-waves through a solid object, this technique can be used to destroy it. Dosu has demonstrated this by using it on a tree, destroying it on contact. The sound drill can also be directed through water weight with similar effect. Therefore the greater fat index an opponent has, the more they are affected by this.
Chakra Use: Low at minimum.
Taijutsu:
Resonating Echo Speaker:
This is a porous metal gauntlet that is located on Dosu's right arm. It is used to amplify or absorb sound waves caused by his arm's movements. The sound waves caused by the melody arm can then be manipulated and directed with chakra, causing more damage. They can also bring on blurred vision and dizziness, as well as paralysing the target of jutsu that are dealt by this weapon. It can also act as a defence by blocking kunai and shuriken, which in turn results in more vibrations that can be used for Dosu's technique.

You are the Nine-Tailed Fox, the strongest demon alive after the downfall of the Jubi. You were the last bijuu left once the humans learned how to seal away your brothers and sisters. You likely would still roam free to this day if that blasted Uchiha had never controlled you. It was a mistake to give that Hyuga your power if the resulting eyes could cripple your mind so.
But that was all in the past. You were now stuck in this human, and you had to make the best of things. There was no way you would be complacent and bow your head as the humans did what they pleased with you. You needed to break free of this fleshy prison and remind humans what true fear is.
Who is your host?
[] Write In.
Basically, choose any character in Konoha (within reason). Due note that whatever host you choose, its mostly cosmetic. So you want psycho killer Sakura? Go ahead! A vengeance and rage fueled Hinata? It's all good. If the choice isn't usable, I'll say so. You may also choose to make an OC if you wish, but really, as I said, this is mostly cosmetic.
Edit: I should have specified this, but anyone around Kakashi's generation/age is the oldest you can go.

[X] Hinata Hyuga, the wild and beastial demon child. The greatest disgrace to Hyuga. The hated prodigy killed both her cousin and father in their sleep
You had been inside the body of this female child for what must have been several years by now. Your last body had fallen gravely ill, so the Leaf village that imprisoned you sought a new cell for you. You felt a burning rage and hatred when you saw your new host, a girl with purplish-black hair who had similar eyes to that very same Hyuga you helped out so long ago. The Byakugan...! Your hatred for the eyes nearly made the girl die of fright, but...it does not matter now. She was your host, for better or for worse.
It had to have been decades since you were locked up in here. A cold and dark room, with only a single small hole in the ceiling that occasionally brought down sunlight. Your arms were cuffed behind your back with special sealed cuffs, locking out any chakra that this weak child may have been able to muster. Your legs were chained to the floor, offering you very little movement. For years your only interaction with others were a pair of cycling guards that brought you food and drink every other day. There was always the human whose body you inhabited, but you couldn't care less about her. You learned with the last two hosts that it was pointless to try and intimidate or injure them.
Your ears perked up as you heard faint voices echoing down the hallway. Your stomach instinctively growled as you began to salivate. You gritted your teeth, barely hearing them scrape together against the hateful curses that filled your head. You were just a dog in here. You had wracked your brain for countless years trying to think of a way out of here, but nothing came to mind.
The two guards came into view, and you glared at them as they walked up to your cell door. Your eyes couldn't help but glimpse at the tray of food one of the guards had in his hands, betraying your cold exterior.
"Oh, gods... this little girl was made into that monster?" one of the guards asked. New blood? From what you remembered, it had been the same guards since you were first locked up. Maybe one of them had died.
"It was very difficult finding a host when it came time," the other guard said. "This is a grave responsibility to take, you see. Yet the head of the Hyuga Clan gave his own daughter to the beast. He claimed it was her choice, but the fear in her eyes told us everything. But at that point...we couldn't refuse. It was her or letting the demon run wild.
"I can't imagine anyone giving their child away to this fate! Why...why not put the beast in an orphan?" the new guard asked, audibly disturbed.
"We're not forcing anybody into accepting the Curse of the Fox. That is something they have to agree to, whether they back down or not. You'll just need to get used to the way things are around here. There's no way we can let this beast loose. It may look like a child, but that thing is a vicious psychopath. You'll need to learn that... so here," the guard said, handing over the tray of food to the new guard and taking the keyring.
"A-Are you sure?" the guard stammered, his eyes darting from the other guard to you.
"It's chained down good. You'll be fine," the guard said as he unlocked the door. The new guard hesitantly walked inside of your cell. This may be your ticket out of here...

If you wanted to know the general deal about pre-sealed Kurama, he was generally treated as a natural disaster like most bijuu: not really something you could stop. Hashirama and Mito were the main reasons the bijuu got locked up, but at that point Kurama had a hiding spot. His hatred of the Byakugan is tied into a very important character in the backstory of this AU, the progenitor of the Uchiha. No moon people or any of that nonsense, going with the postulation earlier in canon that the Sharingan stemmed from the Byakugan.
Basically Adra Hyuga sought out Kurama to get a power boost because he wants ultimate power and the bijuu are basically sentient balls of evil chakra. He bargained with the Kyuubi, seeking for the fox to grant him demonic power. In return, he would grant the beast a safe haven: a cavern in an obscure abandoned Hyuga clan ground, whose entrance could only be seen by one with the Byakugan. With the additional promise of using his newfound powers to cause mayhem, Kurama agreed, and Adra's Byakugan was forever changed by the demonic energies that empowered it.
Then Madara flubbed it all up later by forcing Kurama to be his weapon with the Sharingan, dragging him out of his hiding spot and making the fox fight against the one dude that could stop him. Way to go, Madara. Of course, Adra's partially to blame, since it was his writings and research that led Madara to the hiding spot and made him confident enough that he could genjutsu him due to the connection the eyes had.
I doubt any of this backstory will be all that relevant, which is why I'm bringing it up. And I was just given the go ahead, so here's a bit of extra lore.
And then, as stated in an earlier post, Kagami volunteered to be Kurama's first host in this verse to get slack off of his clan, then Kushina, and now Hinata.
Many violent thoughts flashed through your mind as the new guard approached, but you kept your cool. There was little you could do in your current situation. You considered shedding some crocodile tears to try and get the guard on your side, but with that veteran guard present, it was likely the plan would not work.
You had to build up trust with this inexperienced guard over time. If you behaved while he was around, he could potentially begin to doubt the stories of his coworkers. You would have to remain patient and subservient, but you felt that this would be your key to freedom.
The guard set the tray in front of you, and you simply looked at him coldly as he backed away, trembling in your presence. You dropped to your knees and leaned down, eating the foot from your tray like a dog due to your restrained arms. In due time, they would pay for humiliating you...
You kept up your calm persona for a while, and couldn't help but smile when one day he showed up between the visits of the guards all by his lonesome.
"Is there something you want?" you asked, your voice hoarse from months of not using it. Yelling, screaming, and cursing accomplished nothing, so you only spoke when the guards taunted you. You were not used to hearing your words in the voice of a young girl.
"I... I really shouldn't be here right now," the guard stammered as he shifted around nervously, constantly glancing behind his shoulder.
"Why did you come here?"
"Well... the others say you're a vicious beast, but..."
You held back the devilish grin you were feeling at the moment. Hook, line, and sinker.
[] Now is the time to craft a sob story. Your freedom is so close you can taste it! Once you were free of your bonds, there would be no way they could shackle you again!
[] Restrain yourself. Keep calm. Breathe. Continue taking things slow. If you can... befriend this human, then not only will you eventually be freed, your chances of breaking out of prison will only go up with an ally.

You had a strong urge to prey on his sympathies and spin a story to get him to unchain you, but you thought it better to remain patient. If you befriended this guard, then it would be much more likely that you would get out of this prison.
"In the past I was a vicious beast. Not anymore," you said. Technically, it was true. Though as soon as you were out of here you would be vicious once more.
"Then why do they keep you chained up in here?" the guard asked.
"They fear me. They have also written me off as nothing but a savage animal. I have changed, but they will never see that. You, however, can see that I am not a rabid beast."
The guard did not reply, but he looked conflicted.
"These are not humane conditions I am in. Nothing to do but wallow in my filth in this dark and cold place. The corner that I designate as my toilet only gets cleaned up once every... what I assume is a month. Fifteen guard cycles. I don't even have a proper track of time. Nobody deserves this kind of treatment... surely you can agree."
"I don't know what you did..." the guard said quietly.
"That does not matter. It is in the past now. I am a different person now." Literally, you wanted to add.
"How long have you been in this cell?"
"This is the third body I have inhabited. I was locked in here shortly after the fight that created what is now known as the Valley of the End."
"That was fifty years ago..." the guard breathed.
"Fifty..." you repeated, digesting that information. "More than half of a lifetime. That is a lot of years to reflect on past mistakes."
"I... I think I should go now..." the guard said, hearing a noise in the distance.
"Please... do not leave me here to rot..." you said. You wanted to retch at the fact that you were begging for a human to help you, but it was all part of the act.
"I... I won't. I'll visit you again," the guard said as he began to leave.
"Thank you... I don't know your name."
"Gekki."
With that, the guard was gone. You took time to mentally cleanse yourself for interacting with a human as if he was your equal. But you were glad that you did it. You could already taste your freedom.
Gekki would come and visit you every so often, always alone and off shift. He became less and less nervous each time. These talks were a good way to learn what the world was like since you had been imprisoned.
Was there anything you wanted to ask Gekki? Or were you eager to move ahead?

[X] Ask Gekki who our host is, and how old she should be.
-[X] Ask what's going on in the village? What has happend in the world over the last half century?
Multiple thoughts flashed through your head, but you decided to ask the questions most important to you. "Who is this host I inhabit? I heard you talking to the other guard about her..."
"She's...the daughter of the Head of the Hyuga Clan. That's all I know," Gekki answered, his eyes shifting from side to side.
"Are you lying?" you calmly asked, forcing down the fury burning in your chest.
"N-No! I'm being honest!" Gekki sincerely replied.
"Alright...then who is the leader of this village?"
"Why would you want to know that?" Gekki responded. "If you're planning on getting revenge..."
"Of course not. I merely want to know if the leader is trustworthy, he might be another who could see the change within me," you calmly lied.
"...The Fourth Hokage, his name is Minato Namikaze. He's a good man, but I don't know him personally," Gekki sighed.
"What's going on in the village? What are some of the events I missed in this prison?" you inquired.
"Um...uh. Well, there has been the three shinobi world wars, but they were all before my time, I couldn't really give you details," Gekki muttered.
"Tch..." you grunted. If he wasn't too sure on the details, then most of your other questions would probably be met with the same ignorance. You wanted to ask about what clans are in the Leaf, but going by his reaction when you asked for Minato, he might take it the wrong way. You didn't want to ruin this while you were so close to freedom! "I have one last question, do you know anything of my siblings?"
"I don't know anything, I'm sorry," Gekki said. He suddenly stiffened as he heard the sounds of footsteps. "I have to go now, I'll be back."
Gekki swiftly left, leaving you by yourself. You had managed to get some information, but not much. You supposed you would find those answers yourself when you finally escape...
---
Soon the talks began to be about ways to break you out of this prison. Only a few select ANBU were aware of where you were being held, which was deep beneath the normal prisons of the village. The optimal time to break you out, according to Gekki, would be during your normal talk times. Your main opposition out of here would be the other guards that visited you.
"I think the next time I visit, I will set you free," Gekki said as he walked up to your cell.
"Is that all you will do?" you asked.
"Well... I want to free you. But I don't want to be considered a traitor against my village..." Gekki said with a bit of shame as he bowed his head.
"How do you expect me to make it out of here by myself?" you asked.
"I think I can distract the other guards as you make a break for it. You should have little trouble getting out of here, since I've thought of some believable excuses."
Is this plan agreeable? If you want Gekki to do a different role or alter the plan, time to try and convince him.

"Little trouble? I've been locked down here for fifty years," you replied with bitterness.
"Oh! Don't worry! I'll have you a map the next time I show up!" Gekki affirmed.
Gekki left you shortly after that, and you became quite antsy as you waited for his next visit in two days. You had spent fifty long years trapped down here, and you were itching to get out. Manic glee was spread across your face when the two days had passed and Gekki returned once more.
He opened your cell and stepped inside, dropping a furled up piece of paper near you as he worked on undoing your restraints.
"One of the first things you should do once you're safe and sound is to get a bath and a fresh set of clothes," he said, disgust carried on his voice. No doubt you smelled repugnant due to your despicable living conditions.
Your arms immediately began to ache as the cuffs binding them behind your back were released. More accurately, they were now able to feel again now that they were free from their previous numbing position. You carefully moved your arms, hands, and fingers to warm them up from years of neglect. Following those were the chains around your legs, but you didn't need to adjust to not having those in due to their lax nature.
"There. You're free to go now. That piece of paper contains a sketch of the complex. Good luck," Gekki said before suddenly turning around and departing. You didn't have a chance to thank him... which was good. You didn't think you would be able to muster the will to thank a human.
You picked up the piece of paper and unfurled it with a bit of trouble. You glanced over the various floors the map showed, along with the path out and various notes that Gekki had placed before closing it and tucking it into a small hole on the rags that clung to your skin. The paper naturally unfurling plugged it in the hole once it was placed within, and the sticky nature of your rags made it unlikely that your movement would jostle the map from its position.
Free... you were almost free. But you needed to get out of here first...
[] There was little time to waste. Just follow the map and get out of here.
[] Gekki might be careless with his distraction. Pay a visit to one of the guards on patrol and forcefully ensure that you would not be caught.
[] You're not leaving this prison without getting revenge on the guards that mistreated you so. Visit their personal quarters while they slumbered.
