Cacophony (A Zerg ....Presidency Quest? In 40k??)

That said if it was only about predicting others I would assume it would be something like Observation or Intelligence. The fact that it's called Diplomacy makes me think that talking with people is something we can actually do. It might not go over super well on this particular planet anymore. But it should still be valid in the future.

Bit hurt but yeah I do read but just possibly being bit of a contrarian seemingly to the methods of the ones who have already been in power without really thinking about it.

There is alot of plans for war or war evolution so i suggest infrastructure or alternatives to try and make more effective.

Bold actions so I suggest subtly or subtle modifications like dampening symptoms. Or combine with above alternative and suggest Algea as it's more energy production overall then a flat surface.

There is not alot I can suggest more that's not already covered by the others.

But atleast He-Who-Meddles is a bit fitting I guess

Can someone give me a sense of scale? 2,000 hatcheries could be a lot or a little but right now it's just a number.

Or to put it another way, how many hatcheries do I need to kiss Sarah Kerrigan?

I'm not sure how best to convey it so I'll just lay out the numbers. With 2,000 hatcheries we can produce 20,000,000 larva per turn. Each larva can morph into one zerg unit or structure. A Roach or a Drone costs 5 biomass to morph from a larva. So it would cost 100,000,000 biomass to make 20 million of them. A single drone can produce 11 biomass. So it will take 1.8 million drones to get to this level of production.

Normally we would have a whole bootstrapping processing as we made more drones to harvest more biomass to make more drones. But due to our infestation of the terran populace we have a bit more than 3 billion biomass to work with. So we can crank out 20 million units easy.

Our current bottleneck is minerals. As the mineral density on this planet is only 2. Which means we can produce our most advanced units in the same kind of quantities. Right now that's just corruptors. But all of our units benefit from improved performance if we add minerals to their morphing. Like to give an example a mineral enhanced drone is immune to small arms fire. And those are our weakest units. A mineral enhanced roach can walk through an artillery barrage.

All those are just numbers too of course. So to put it another way. The guard regiment we are facing had several hundred thousand personnel. We don't know exactly how many. But a single turn's worth of effort will allow us to outnumber them by two orders of magnitude.

Was it said whether we can get minerals from already existing metals? Say the walls, vehicles, metals of the terran populace? If it was I might have missed it.

That's actually what we're doing. There are no actual Minerals on this world in the Starcraft sense. Instead our drones are scavenging and mining substitutes which yield "Mineral" equivalents. Which is why the density is so poor here. If we got actual Minerals we could seed this planet and get a better production. Since Minerals are basically a more benign form of Tiberium. They're able to concentrate metals and such for easy harvesting.

I will also note that even with all this we're still a small hive cluster. Zerg broods comfortably reach billions of units, and the main Zerg assaults launched by the Overmind in the Great War had trillions of units. Which notably the Terrans were able to fight off. So we're of the general IC opinion that the Terrans we've been fighting have backslid considerably.

Did you not notice the 2,000 new Hatcheries, 980 Evolution Chambers, and 5000 Spinethorn Walls? Like we have done infrastructure.
"Evolutions" is the keyword.
But yes I did notice only thing I have no idea where to look for the totals of everything built.

Our biggest hurdle in resources is minerals but we have not really make a morph with roots to absorb it from deeper then the creep can reach like a tree or dedicated miner beyond messing a tiny bit with a drone who is functionally made to crack ready made chunks of the crystal.

Taking the dna of a bird would be nice to improve our magnetic senses to find iron or tiny loadstone chunks in a pouch, or seismologyto send down sonic pulses under the ground and listening for sounds to chart the earth density.

Vespine is solved sorta by stealing promethium in the shorterm so no refining organic biomass into vespine yet

There should be a link to Dapperlad's discord somewhere in the thread. We've got the hard numbers in there.

I use discord but it's a bit annoying it's not part of the updates for those who read it weeks later or catching up and want to join

Specifically that's where we keep the link to the google sheet with all the numbers. And honestly it's not necessary for people who just want to follow along in the quest. But if you're serious about actually running the swarm you could see the current status.
