[x] Propose having only Biyomon digivolve into Birdramon while Agumon and Patamon play support as rookie, to not exhaust yourselves against the first (and probably weakest) enemy team. If Tai or T.K. protest this, propose having one of their partner going champion instead of yours. The important thing is not revealing and tiring all three of them in an easy match.

Eh, I'll flip my vote.

And now that's over with...

So, you're not going to be inflicting total overkill on Team Trash. That's probably a good idea, really.

Probably the Most Anticlimactic Fight Ever
"I... don't think we all need to use Champions for this," You comment. "We should probably have one, but... who's the weakest Rookie?"

"Chuumon?" Patamon suggests. You laugh, and you think Agumon does as well, but you try to be just a bit more serious.

"On our team?" You clarify.

"Patamon."

"Patamon."

"Patamon."

"I'm pretty sure it's Patamon."

"Really feeling the love here, guys," Patamon groans. "Even you, TK?"

"Sorry, but... the others have fire," His partner points out. "But you get to be Angemon now! It'll be great!"

"And... start!" The announcer calls, and Patamon is immediately bathed in light, not even stopping his lunge forward as he seamlessly transitions into his Champion form. Agumon and Biyomon follow close behind- Agumon on the ground, Biyomon taking to the skies. You're pretty sure Angemon could take this team on his own, but no need to get overconfident.

...It's not really much of a fight, honestly. If anything, you think Angemon's greatest effort was in not accidentally killing the members of Team Trash. Well, maybe by accident.

You get the feeling nobody would really miss those three if they were gone, anyway.

"And Team Trash has lost once again. This time lasting a whole fifteen seconds!" You get the feeling the announcer is enjoying his job just a little bit too much.

So... you've just won yourself more time than you'd expected. Now what?

[ ] Stick to your team. Those three were horribly weak, you need to put on a strong front.

[ ] Pay close attention to the fight between Team Extreme Weather and Team Moon. If you get to the finals, there's a fifty percent chance of fighting one of them, after all.

[ ] Team Plant Life, Team Music, and Team Trash are now out of the tournament, but they're hanging around at the moment. May as well talk to them.

[ ] You want to talk to Team Honey. Make sure that the trio of adorable bees actually are Champions and plan accordingly.

[ ] Team Calico is just. so. cute! Well, besides the one that's on fire, anyway.

Maybe they'll be good sports? At the least they may know some interesting stuff about the area... and could explain what DNA digivolving is. Or what the heck that thing about using Digivices on Dark Digimon was about.

Bzzz Bzzz, time to check out the busy bees lol

Let's just stand around and look all cool and badass. No need to waste time speaking to the chaff.

Strong front? You mean remove the advantage of being underestimated?

about as overkill as i expected. Maybe if we went with three rookies they might have lasted a full minute!

It may be interesting to see how they fight among themselves.

*does some quick research*

Yeah. The bees are Rookies. Unless Sora has a very warped definition of cute.

I didn't find honeybeemon in my research. Fanbeemon yes, but not honeybeemon.
idem.

not counting videogames they're also from Digimon Frontier, which is near the bottom in my personal "best to worst digimon series". The only ones worse would in my opinion be the xros wars sequel, and maybe digimon adventure tri ( it REALLY disappointed me).

Also probably appli monsters, but i don't think it counts and i only watched 1 episode so i don't think i can be a fair judge there.

And with that...

You get to actually learn the species of Team Moon! And how they're so effective... a knockout's a knockout, however it happened, after all...

Extreme Weather Against the Moon
"Okay, and with that, we're on to the last fight of the first round! Team Extreme Weather is made of Meramon, Mojyamon, and Frigimon! Powerful fighters, they're up against the girls of Team Moon: Lunamon, Lopmon, and SnowAgumon!"

Meramon, the fire man. Mojyamon, the yeti. And Frigimon, the snowman. Against a pair of rabbits and a small dinosaur.

"Do we really have to watch this?" Tai groans.

"You can go somewhere else if you want to," You point out. "And it can't be that long. Those Digimon look like Rookies."

"Besides Angemon, we have Rookies right now," Biyomon notes.

"Alright, team!" The leader of the Rookies, the white rabbit, spreads her arms, her ears lifting up. "You know what to do!" The three of them leap forward, their forms glowing brightly before merging into one. The light intensifies, before dying down and revealing a Digimon that looks like a larger version of the leader more than anything.

"You know," The new Digimon states in a voice that sounds like three individual voices laid on top of each other. "We were hoping to fight a different team. There's no fun in being one Digimon for the whole thing."

"And as their opening move, Team Moon has decided to utilize their DNA Digivolution! They are now the agile Lekismon!"

"We need to hit her as many times as possible!" Meramon states, fire already brimming in his hands. "Don't let them get too close!" With that, Team Extreme Weather splits and starts firing ranged attacks at their enemy.

Attacks which Lekismon dodges rather effortlessly. "You know, you boys are gonna have to try harder than that!" She laughs in that odd, discordant tone of hers. "We can keep doing this all day!"

Upon hearing this, the three Champions try combining their attacks into one, only for the combined form of Team Moon to leap clear over the blast zone. "But... we don't really have all day for this, do we? After all, others are bound to want to fight." These sentences are said not with their combined voice, but with a single, quiet one.

"You know, Lopmon, you may have a point!" She agrees with herself in the voice that, due to process of elimination, must belong to SnowAgumon. "Let's take them out quick, what do you say, Lunamon?"

And, to round out the trio: "I think that would be a great idea!" Lekismon lunges forward, bubbles forming in her paws.

"Say goodnight!" The combined voice rings out, before they scatter the bubbles all over the battlefield, one popping in the faces of each of her/their opponents.

Within the next ten seconds, all three members of Team Extreme Weather are lying on the ground, asleep.

"And with the use of their Moon Night Bomb attack, Lekismon has secured the victory for Team Moon once again!"

That was... weird. Not just weird... impossible.

"I didn't know that Digimon could combine like that," Agumon notes. "Do you think it's something more common in the city?"

"You could find a city Digimon and ask," Angemon points out.

"We do have some time before the next round starts..." You muse. Mostly because they have to move the dozing members of Team Extreme Weather off the field. So what will you do?

[ ] Find Lekismon. How did she do that!?

[ ] Stay with your friends. No need to bother with anything special.

[ ] Team Calico is already preparing for the next round. But they're so cute!

[ ] Team Honey is muttering something in the corner about the 'glory of the hive'. That's sort of worrying, really.

Heh, and here I literally JUST, as in minutes before this, 100%-ted Digimon Dusk (barring the Apollomon line). Yeah, Lekismon is dangerous. Precursor to Dianamon and with a sleep inducing bubble attack that hits multiple times and can be spread everywhere. If the stage weren't a confining factor, it wouldn't be such an issue since Birdramon and Angemon could just keep out of range in the sky, but with the space being limited... unless the area OVER the stage is still valid no matter how high? In that case we could just fly up and rain down hell, but I get the feeling that's not allowed.

Anyways, not the issue just yet. Let's go learn about DNA digivolving, assuming Lekismon is willing to spill.
