Built in Vote Tallying

Feature request: make the bot ignore font tags.

Because right now, if you tally by block, the following will be treated as a single block:

[X] Red
-[X] Dark red
[X] Green
 
Here's another feature request:

Automatically sanitize and merge Media and Img tags into a URL representation.

I've been having tally-related trouble for a while. The first trouble is that the votes for @PlanckConstant never seem to register against his count. I'm aggregating semantically similar votes manually, after collecting the counts, so it's not a huge deal, just slightly annoying.

The second trouble that's just happened is more radical. It looks like somehow a vote like this:

managed to glue the sub-votes under PlanckConstant to others' votes for PlanckConstant, and the tally indicates that (e.g.) Skelm has voted for a pony, when he clearly hasn't.

Anyway, I suppose I should make a note here, in general: I'm very sorry for how slow the bugfixes have been. I've been very busy with my PhD recently, and times that I'm not I'm pretty much braindead. So... yeah. I'm going to try and carve out time for bugfixes, but it's gonna be slow.

Unfortunately it seems the tally just got stuck in a new place. I just tested it out and it's not registering any new votes.

EDIT: I just tried it now, and it works! I'm not sure what happened when I tested it earlier.

ya thats a regular thing in my Hyrulequest, I always have to select the newest update to get votes done properly, it does not do anything automatically.

but meh, it ain't really broken so not going to pester the techs to fix that when I am sure there are FAR more pressing problems.
 
The Tally on Terminus Quest isn't counting one of the voting options. a lot of people have already voted for said option and will have to redo their votes unless the tally is fixed.
 
When managing votes and sticking some under the other, I'd like to be able to retype the prompt, so if I have a single vote for
[X] An option but with some kind of tpyo or weird character.

I can fix the typo inside the vote tally and make sure votes are placed in it.
 
Looks like the Tally is down again. We haven't been able to get any new results from it since 9/19/2018.

One of the plans got tallied differently when it was by the plan maker and by the people who only voted for the plan name.

It also collapsed repeated actions even though I wanted it to be by plan, and had chosen "none" for how to divide votes. And the actions were marked as repeatable.

I have no idea what is going on.
 
Vote tally for the thread here seems to be broken/stuck on the last vote?
 
This votecount has some peculiarities:

To Boldly Go... (a Starfleet quest) - Sci-Fi | Page 4216

Notably, Anime_Fan35 changes their vote over 3 separate posts, yet all 3 show up in the tally. This isn't a problem for this vote in particular, but usually users who change their mind on a vote do so by re-voting, and so with the normal use-case it would have been an issue. Should be an isolated issue, but why it happened here I don't understand.
Oh, nevermind? Just someone pushed the wrong setting.
