Buffy the Vampire Slayer Take Two

[X] Write-in: Ask Willow if she can hack the army base to get the patrol schedules, camera views, storage locations of grenades & rocket launchers, and any other information necessary to break in. If she can, then ask Amy if she can use illusions on either herself or Xander so that the illusioned person can steal some heavy weaponry to use on the Judge.
[X] Write-in: Anyone who's not helping get heavy weaponry should help look for Angel until the heavy weaponry is available for use. Then focus on the Judge, and go back to looking for Angel afterwards.

Judgement
You have an idea on how to deal with the Judge at least, if Willow can help. Blowing the guy up with grenades should be enough to get rid of the guy after all. Willow is more than happy to be useful and starts looking for weaponry. Giles and Ms Calendar were quick to praise you for being innovative in coming up with a way to fight the demon. It wasn't a typical manner, but doing something unconventional tended to help get the edge in situations like this.

Giles did pull Buffy aside to talk to her about something, and she left upset, likely to keep looking for Angel. Giles came back with a grave expression. "There's a chance Angel's curse has been broken," he warned the group.

"What curse?" Cordelia asked.

"The one that gave him a conscience so he would suffer for his crimes," Ms Calendar answered.

"How could it be broken?" you asked angrily.

"He would have had to have a moment of pure happiness without any suffering tainting it," she answered.

It took you a moment to put together why Buffy would be upset. "She banged the dead guy."

"Seems so," Amy agreed.

"We do not know for sure," Giles said hurriedly. "He might still be cursed."

"Yeah? Then why do you think that the curse might have been broken?" you challenged.

Ms Calendar shifted uncomfortably. "Because..." She took a deep breath. "Because I am a descendant of the original romani tribe that cursed Angel, and I received a warning from my uncle that the curse was weakening. He was getting happier."

"True love broke the curse," Oz said. He nodded wisely.

"Normally that doesn't result in a big bad being loosed," you joked. "Think another kiss will turn him back?"

"Don't joke about this," Ms Calendar warned. "Angel is the worst of the Scourge of Europe. He was docile for a hundred years, but if he's loose now he'll want to make up for lost time."

The group was uneasy, but agreed to focus for now on the Judge. Willow did find a warehouse with grenades at a military installment and a way to get access to it. It was far easier than it should have been really, which was great. You got in with Amy using her illusions to keep you all invisible and left with the grenade launcher. You had a way to fight the Judge. Now you just had to find him.

Thankfully world ending demons are a big fan of making a lot of noise. It drew you right to where he was attacking a mall with Drusilla, and apparently Angel. It took four of you bracing together to fire the grenade launcher and destroy the Judge, only for Drusilla and Angel to really start ripping through the crowd. The mall quickly began to turn red.

You got out with the others, but you don't know if you can count this as a win. You knew Drusilla was vicious. You hadn't realized she could be even worse with someone else directing her.

On the plus side, the group managed to get the military weaponry! On the bad side, Buffy is really not handling her Slayer duties at all. The Watcher's Council might end up having an even more negative view of her than canon.

While I'd like to find Buffy, I'm not sure how useful she'd be. In fact, I'm pretty sure she'll try to stop us from killing Angel in order to try to save him. If we can find a way to kill Angel, I'd rather just do that. It'll probably torch Buffy's trust in everyone else, but she's not doing a good job earning their trust either.

I forgot, does Angel need to be around to seal that demon in hell with his death, or is he the whole reason the demon stuck around.

Also, Xander finding a way to kill Angel is great as a fallback, but getting Angel's soul back is still the best option (for said soul) and quite a few people he does help. So, if we vote for finding a way to end the vampire, does that mean no one else will be looking for the crystal and incantation and stuff?

I was actually skeptical about us getting our hands on military equipment. I figured it would have been much harder than how it turned out. I guess Willow's got skillz.

Danger
Buffy showed up at the library covered in what looked like demon goop and still upset. "Have you found Angel?" she demanded the group.

"We did, actually," you drawled. "He just finished killing a mall full of people with Drusilla."

"What?" Buffy paled and stared at you.

"His curse is indeed lifted, and he is back to the monster he once was," Giles confirmed solemnly.

Buffy sat at the table shakily. "And I-I missed it. I wasn't there."

"You were trying," Willow offered up a bit comfortingly.

"And what use that was," Cordelia scoffed.

"Hey! Give her a break," Willow snapped.

"What? She's the Slayer! Her whole deal is supposed to be keeping stuff like what happened at the mall from happening, and guess what? She screwed up!" Cordelia shot back.

"She did get something," Amy said. "She's covered in stuff after all. Even if it wasn't what we'd needed."

"We didn't know the Judge and Angel would team up, it made sense for Buffy to keep looking for him," Willow argued.

"That's enough. It's been a long day for everyone," Giles announced. "Go home for the day. Jenny and I will continue looking for a way to deal with Angel."

The group silently trooped out. The walk home was awful. You knew your house was safe. Angel had never gotten an invite inside after all. And yet the feel of being prey didn't leave you. You knew master vampires were different than regular vampires. They were smarter, and somehow even stronger. It wouldn't be a matter of having a vampire just fall into instincts and tricking them to take them out. It'd take something far more thought out.

You kept up researching with everyone for ways to fight Angel. Hearing Buffy crying because Angel showed up at her house to taunt her was extremely awkward. If she hadn't been there, her mother would have likely died. They did the ritual to redeny Angel entrance to the house, and you kept digging.

At least time with Cordelia helped to distract from things. She was a fantastic kisser. Sure, you probably should have been a little bit more cautious at Lover's Peak making out in the car, but you had practice and you were both aware of the dangers. Surely it was fine for you to take a bit of a break from constant vigilance so you didn't go completely insane.

Of course, just because Angel's out there plotting how to kill all of you doesn't mean Sunnydale's giving you a break. A werewolf's turned up and started wandering! And you got to find out when Cordelia almost hit it with her car driving with you to get drinks together. You were honestly considering the benefits of trying to lure the werewolf to wherever Angel was. If only you knew where the vampires were currently holed up.

That went better with Buffy than I thought, given that I thought she would feel betrayed by everyone. I still voted for looking for a way to fight Angel anyway because he's a dangerous threat to everyone in the group, actively killing people, and dead without a safe way to revive him.

As for what to do now, I'm going for figuring out the werewolf. There's no point to learning where the vampires are laired until we know how to defeat them so we might as well try to protect people from the other possible threat.

Wolf on the Loose
Buffy's quick to dive into looking for the werewolf. So far only animals have been killed, with people just being scared, but she's taking the threat seriously. You suspect she's trying to make up for missing out on the Judge and Angel by riding a harder line. Buffy comes back from a search for the werewolf with Giles with news that a werewolf hunter's shown up in Sunnydale also looking for the werewolf. More help is welcome, but Giles is concerned about the werewolf being a normal human for a majority of the time, one that may not realize it's turning and attacking people at all.

You do at least know that there's only two people at school who've been bitten recently: Larry, who got bit by some kind of dog, and Willow's new sort of boyfriend Oz, who was bitten by his toddler cousin. You try your hand at checking out what's going on with Larry, and somehow manage to both get him to come out of the closet as gay, and under the impression that you are as well. Perhaps it had been a mistake bringing up your experiences with the hyena and trying to be subtle about it. You definitely needed to come up with something to tell Cordelia.

The bad news is someone did in fact die last night while the werewolf was loose. The good news, is you're pretty sure that you know who the werewolf is. The bad news is you're pretty sure it's Willow's boyfriend, Oz. The good news is you're positive Oz isn't evil. The bad news is that Oz still potentially killed someone, and you have to figure out what to do about it.

Not sure how this goes but part me thinks there's more than one werewolf.

It's good to see that Buffy is taking things seriously and not just focused on "saving" Angel. Now we just need to figure out how to deal with Oz.

[X]Attempt an "adult conversation" about it
[X]Tell Giles privately

I think "adult conversation" means maturely explaining what happened and why so I'm trying that. I think Cordy isn't publically dating Xander so she shouldn't have to worry about her rep taking a hit.

As for Oz, Xander is pretty sure he's not evil, but confronting a possible threat without telling anyone else first seems like a bad move. Giles has been concerned about whether the werewolf knew what was going on so he's not likely to leap to drastic measures straight away. We can tell the group, but I'd rather tell Giles first so that he's ready to wrangle the group discussion to be productive.
