Buffy the Vampire Slayer Take Two

Research
You dove into brainstorming different ways the Judge could be harmed with the others. It could almost count as a research party, if there wasn't the chance of all of you dying if you failed. You stretched your limits, trying to think of what kind of weapons existed that could harm such a demon. Fire wouldn't work, it was a basic that almost always could be fallen back on, but the demon was infallible to it this time. Removing the head was usually a good secondary fallback, but again the infallibility came back. The information you did have stated it took a blessed weapon to chop the Judge into bits.

Perhaps your clue laid there. Normal force couldn't break the demon apart, but what about something that could go beyond it? Buffy was beyond a normal human's strength, so even if whatever you found was too difficult for anyone else wield, she could. Buffy came in and tried to grab Angel for reconnaissance, but Giles stepped in and went with Buffy instead, leaving Willow to lead the research. Which was odd, Giles did not like going out in the field, and he certainly appreciated Angel as back up. Why would he ask Angel to stay with the research group? Did Angel know something more than anyone else?

Touch of an Angel
You very awkwardly sidled over towards Angel. The vampire shot you an awkward look of his own, clearly as uncomfortable about your attempt to approach and speak to him as you felt. "So. Wanna tell me why Giles thought you wouldn't be a good partner for renaissance?" You knew why you thought Angel was a bad partner, but it had certainly never stopped anyone else from accepting Angel's erratic help before.

"Maybe because Spike and Drusilla targeted me before. No reason to give them a possible chance at more sire's blood," Angel said awkwardly.

"Right. Because you helped create those two." A fantastic reminder that the world was in danger because of the choices this guy had made. Angel looked deeply guilty at your words, but you only felt disgust. You still weren't buying that Angel was that different from other vampires. You made your way back over to Amy and Willow.

Giles and Buffy returned looking in rough shape, and you rushed over to help Giles. Ms Calendar was immediately on the case leading everyone on how to take care of things. "The Judge...he's awake," Giles groaned.

"It's alright, we're gonna deal with it," Ms Calendar promised worriedly.

You stayed late that night, trying to think of what to use on the Judge. Perhaps several grenades would work to tear him apart with the force of the explosion. A rocket launcher would sure be nice. But where would you even get such a weapon?

You ran into Cordelia the next day at school. Cordelia frowned looking at you. "What's the rush?"

"Demon problem, you know." You glanced at her and grinned. "We've got ideas to fix it."

Cordelia immediately shifted to follow after you. "Seriously? Well I better come and make sure you dorks don't mess up."

"Because knowledge of high school gossip will be so useful," you shot back teasingly.

"As if that's all I bring," Cordelia scoffed. You smiled at her and turned back to talk to everyone else about your plans for taking out the Judge. Buffy was surprisingly late to turn up. She may not be enthusiastic about being the Slayer but she was always around for the big stuff.

It was a rather confused Buffy who entered the library. "Has anyone seen Angel?"

"No, why? Did something happen?" Willow asked anxiously.

"I...he walked me home last night, I haven't seen him since," Buffy said.

"You don't think he tried to go after Spike and Drusilla alone, do you?" Willow fretted

"He's not one for direct fighting," you pointed out quickly. "Not without Buffy there."

"He might be scouting," Amy suggested.

This was a problem. Buffy was clearly distracted by Angel being missing, and was itching to go look for him. He was a decent ally in a big fight like now, but how much time could you waste on him instead of Angel?

I don't remember him coming up in the story before. Do the Scoobies even know who he is?

I really don't want to spend time looking for Angel, but he is an ally, and Buffy isn't likely to agree to leaving him for after the Judge. Are Spike and Druscilla likely to be in the same place as the Judge? If not, then Buffy is the only one who stands a chance against Druscilla. Can Xander handle the Judge without Buffy?

Yeah. He was mentioned during the science fair event with Chris and his dead brother.

EDIT: To be sure I'm not expecting to do anything crazy yet. I want access to whatever resources, components, or connections he has.

On one hand, contacting Warren Mears feels like an out-of-the-blue decision for the group to make, and being able to make droids doesn't mean that he can get explosives. On the other hand, I'm not sure I can come up with a better idea.

My first thought was to get Amy to use illusion magic to steal from the army base, but will her magic hold up to security cameras? The army base didn't bother coming after Xander in canon so maybe they wouldn't care enough to go after Amy? Willow might be able to hack the army base, but the cameras probably aren't high-tech enough to be hacked.

[X] Write-in: Ask Willow if she can hack the army base to get the patrol schedules, camera views, storage locations of grenades & rocket launchers, and any other information necessary to break in. If she can, then ask Amy if she can use illusions on either herself or Xander so that the illusioned person can steal some heavy weaponry to use on the Judge.
[X] Write-in: Anyone who's not helping get heavy weaponry should help look for Angel until the heavy weaponry is available for use. Then focus on the Judge, and go back to looking for Angel afterwards.

I thought about just voting to go to a weapons dealer, but then I remembered that the group doesn't have a lot of money, and weapons on the black market are probably really expensive. As for looking for Angel, the Judge should be the priority, but not everyone is needed to steal some explosives.
