Bubble Tea Bears and Golden Tigers - An Alternate Universe RWBY Isekia Quest

so, to compare current plans

Plan: Spool, Spool, Spool Up is the baseline. 7 votes

My plan

Plan: Spool, Spool, Spool Up (But with shipyards). 4 votes

it does 2 shipyards instead of 1, but gives up the copper mine and domestic fighter fleet expansion. Basically I'm giving up a bit of military development to hopefully accelerate economic development.

the last plan (Plan: First Wave Incoming) at 3 votes.

goes heavier on housing, steel, works on solar, cellphones, food farming, and starts (but can't finish) aura schools, but in exchange is dropping a bunch of other stuff, first of all the shipyards, nuclear, vehicle retooling (infra bonus), livestock and sports.

There's also a couple of single vote plans I'm not looking at in details (@comet9 yours is formatted wrong. you need to put the "-" before the "[]" in the subactions for the tally to show it properly)

Researching on the topic, there is one condition that allows us to see that yes, it's available:

Indirect and Direct distribution: They offer services and distributing their products through many means, but one of them is Company-owned stores.

Taiwan has an Apple Retail Store, owned by the Company themselves.

With their production and Retail on the island, it makes sense that as Microsoft has access to Windows and their Software, Apple has access to their IOS and other software.

Don't be sad though, checking through some things..

Sony does have a Customer Support panel for Taiwan itself, so it's likely they have their own office and tech team on hand..just doesn't produce the Playstation. In fact, probably joining in the other efforts for the Pact projects to be able to have enough funds collected to hire a manufacturer for their PS Consoles again.

dropping a bunch of other stuff, first of all the shipyards,
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the shipyards and have them as a high priority, but I just view high R-income projects like Steel and Copper as slightly higher, what with us still being dependent on salvage, and especially with the new intelligence and SRD projects now taking up our income as well.

...Actually, I'm think about swapping about the HI dice I put on Solar Panels for one of the shipyards, to get it within walking distance for next turn. What do you think would be better, the +2 Service or +2 LI dice?

all things considered there isn't a big enough market for multiple consoles right now. If and when there will be spare electronics they'll probably do a single console. or maybe they'll make them basically interoperable and remove console exclusives :V

there's around 141 millions of switch solds up to a few months ago. That's nearly 3 times as people in the Tiger's Pact, and more than half the people in the whole world.

the market is far smaller now. we went from around 8 billions on Earth to 250 millions in all of Remnant. 1/32.

mostly irrelevant I think. the moment we run out of salvage is the moment we can no longer use all dice, no way around that, especially with now 5 extra dice on research and the extra dice unlocked by lifting up the rationing.

fact is, the 30 resources from steel can support 1 to 3 dice at best. And it's 3 only if we're talking military/orbital dice.

a single shipyard offers enough progress per turn to equal nearly 5 dice, if spread out among multiple projects. As it takes 4 of 5 dice to be completed, it quite literally pays for itself in a single turn.

math-wise it's so much better that there's no contest.

The only reason to NOT do them both immediately is if we fear it's too much narratively, that we'd need steel to support that, or believe urban solar (forgot the new name) to be that urgent.

I believe I've fixed it.
Try something like this:
[X]Plan Name: Brace for Contact
5 Free Dice
807 Total Recources
Infrastructure and Logistics (4 Dice)(15Rs per Dice)

-[X]Solar Power Expansion-Osta Desert Plant (Progress: 0/120)(2 Logi Dice: 30Rs)
-[X]Nuclear Reactor Development-Driftwood Thorium SMR (Progress: 0/200)(1 Logi+1 Free Dice: 30Rs)
-[X]Urban housing expansion-Kuo Kuana housing district (Progress: 56/100)(1 Logi Dice: 15Rs)
-[X]Menagerie Aerodome Construction-Southern Menagerie Regional Airport (Progress: 0/150)(1 Free Dice: 15Rs)

math-wise it's so much better that there's no contest.
I mean, roll outcome-wise, you're correct, but the important thing to remember is that its spread out across different projects. It'll be really beneficial for multiple phase or high progress projects, but for single one-off it has a low chance of actually affecting the outcome.
Still really, really good, but its roughly a matter of +R for an extra dice to focus completing on a single project vs a small bonus across the board. Like I said, still a high priority.

Btw, prefer +2 Service or +2 LI dice? Plan: Spool, Spool, Spool Up is doing the Service one because its cheaper per die, but I can see an argument for LI because most of the projects under it require more progress than those in Services.

Umm not quite sure what you mean?

Use this format, with X in the brackets
[] Plan Example
-[] Project 1
-[] Project 1

This will cause the dashed projects to be counted under the top level plan vote. The way you have it, without any dashes, and no X in the actual Plan [], means that the vote counter views each of the [X] Projects lines as a separate vote.

Also, final decision for my plan is moving the 4 HI dice from Copper Mines and Solar Panels to 50% one of the Shipyards. I'll make the change after I grab lunch.

disagree. we usually focus on a small number of projects at a time. +10 per dice means that we're likely to spend less dice on each project for completion, and the saved dice can be put elsewhere.

and of course multi-stage project just carry the progress to the next stage.

like, let me take a few projects as examples

  • [ ] Nufaya Housing district (North Menegarie) (Progress: 0/100)(+1 QoL, +1 PS)

+20 aggregate, +44 per dice.

1 dice: 30%
2 dice: 100%

with another +10 from shipyards

1 dice: 50%
2 dice: 100%

[ ] Cuop Boc Solar Panel Production and Distribution Complex (Green) - The first major industrial park to be based in Menagerie, Cuop Boc's planned Solar Panel Production Grid will not only provide energy sources for Menagerian households, but also dramatically increase production of Solar Panels
(Progress: 0/150) (+ 2 Energy per turn) (+ 2 PS and QoL) (+5 to all rolls on any solar-related projects)(Unlocks other Solar related projects)(

+25 per dice, 20 aggregate

2 dice: 9.24%
3 dice: 80.17%

with another +10 from shipyards

2 dice: 34.44%
3 dice: 98.38%

[ ] The Faunus-Human Genetics Research - The introduction of Aura and the new variety of species has made it clear that a major research study should be conducted on the differences between Earth Humans, Remnantese Humans, and the Faunus. This project will begin the investigation of the differences in genetics as well as help fund a major scientific lab for further genetic research.
(Progress: 0/350)(Reward:?????)

current bonus: +20

5 dice: 0.00000032%. negligible
6 dice: 1.39%
7 dice: 21.24%
8 dice: 63.64%
9 dice: 91.58%

with another +10:

5 dice: 1.11%
6 dice: 32.43%
7 dice: 84.29%
8 dice: 99,07%

My point is that we will on average save a few dice each turn per project. the fact progress is spread out means SOME of the projects we do will finish earlier. And this extra progress does NOT come at an extra cost in resources!

(well, beyond completing the shipyard project itself, of course).

FYI
HI 7 dice 175R
-[X] Steel extraction and Production expansion (phase 2) 102/250 3 dice 75R 63.3%
-[X] Nufaya Shipyards (Progress 0/200) 4 dice 100R 53.33%
Plan: First Wave Incoming has been updated to move the dice from Solar Panels and Copper Mine to the Nufaya Shipyard.
I chose Nufaya and its +2 LI dice, because of LI having less dice than services, while also having average higher progress required on its projects.
