Movement is pretty good, healing is something you got to learn to patch yourself or others and swords cause swords.

Hand to hand is what he's already good at, having trained extensively with dear ol' dad and gotten in his share of fights. So it ought to be easy to excel at, even more than swords. Plus, it would be neat if he could learn Shunko.

Healing is the family business, and a good tie-in to his desire to get back in touch with his sisters and father, plus fits well with his general desire to help and protect people.

Movement magic would have allowed him to dodge that truck.

Not an option, dudeski; Kido was in-update explicitly broken up into the three categories of Barrier, Destruction and Healing, and as such you'd have to take up all three slots if you wanted to fully focus on Kido.

Ichigo didn't have training in swording in canon, did he? He just got his ass beat repeatedly until he got good at beating asses himself. He'll figure it out

He did, actually. He trained with Urahara after climbing out of that pit and then he trained with Zangetsu trying to get Bankai.
 
I think they simply kept almost-killing him in combat until he can draw on more and more power and skill. :V

We can pick up swordplay as fast, if not faster, due to needing to take actual lessons, even if we aren't hyper focusing on them. Plus we'll be using it in combat already, so yeah.

We will at least get some of canon Ichigo's proficiency, which came without formalized training.
 
Which division are we aiming for, specifically?

In the meantime I vote...

[X] Movement magic
[X] Swords

...as a base to develop Ichigo's skillset from. I don't want to vote for, say, healing magic unless we're seriously aiming for 4th division for example.
