Bleach: Derailed

Am I to assume that regardless of what wins, Ichigo is still strong enough to take on a 4th year that easily? Seems really extreme. I suppose Ichigo is really that much of a freak when it comes to power?

...Nope, still confused. Just give it to me straight here then: Is this a joke vote or no?
Spoonfeeding, ACTIVATE!
  • TPK has run quests before.
  • TPK has established paradimes/norms in those quests.
  • Among those norms, are 'rewards' for hitting certain voting thresholds - usually 50 votes, 100, 150, etc.
  • The 50 vote mark is usually a 'I shall give you a tiny snippet from what update would result from THIS vote'.
So that thing he just posted, is a collection of snippets to give us a hint as to what each potential vote's update would be.

Savvy?

[X] Drag the fight out until he regrets it.

This may keep us from wining the tournament overall, but it seems like it would be the best way to teach Jirobo a constructive life lesson. Ringing him out probably just make him resentful afterwords, and crushing him would likely cow his pride. Making him regret using excessive force to hurt and humiliate his colleague, however, might end up making him a better Shinigami.

Nope. Nor did I watch the anime. Everything I know has been from the hollow quests, and some well written cross-over fanfiction. And occasionally I stumble over to the bleach wiki if there is something really detailed I need to understand.
Welp. Then I'll just note that in canon Ichigo's powers were literally and outright most rooted in HUGE POWAH and the growth thereof, so him having HUGE POWAH and developing quickly is... like hearing water is wet; it should not surprise you, or even cause an eyelid to flutter.

Basically, yes. Ichigo is that much of a freak. He's a super-freak. Super freak. He's super-freaky.

In canon, he goes from regular high-school kid to beating captains in less than six months.

I concur with the others. Ichigo has an infamously high growth rate that lets him clash with, and triumph over, opponents who have been at it for decades, centuries and millennia.

Sorry, could people clarify as to why they are voting for the Drag it Out option that leaves Ichigo covered in his own blood? It seems like the worst option, but I also feel like I'm missing something.

Or he decides to not go after anyone we know, since that (and not the excessive force part in particular) is what led to this. Also shows we're fine with such humiliation happening to people we don't like, since we've got enough power to keep it from happening to us and ours.

Also someone who would drag out beating someone into the ground just to savor it doesn't sound like someone who would be trusted to go the living world on missions, if only because that 'taking too long to end things on purpose' thing gives that many more chances for a hollow to escape/cause more collateral damage/turn the tables on us. And getting to the living world is a thing we're trying to make happen quickly.

[X] Just beat him down and be done with it.

Crush him underfoot on the way forward. No need to create hard feelings, he'll feel regret once we down him like a mook.
