People dislike Rukia? What the heckie? Ichigo and Rukia had one of the best male-female friendships I've seen during the early arcs.
 
Yeah, learning about pre-desertion CAPTAIN DAD from his former subordinates (one a quirky flirt, the other an example of the real thing we're probably bullshitting as for the Shiba name - a hax reincarnate) seems more entertaining and desirable than classic IchiRuki bickering. More novel by far, too.

It won't win of course, Canon main characters/central shipping ALWAYS wins the most support, but still!

A question for those wanting to talk to the Tenth Division Captain and Vice Captain about Isshin.

Considering that the previous vote to accept the adoption to the Shiba Clan was being argued against on the grounds of security for Ichigo's family. Why would some of you, those who used this argument suddenly do an about-face and then go on to (possibly) be an even bigger security risk considering Toushiro at this point is still very much a by the book captain and will investigate and likely be hot-headed, diving in to threaten the family without getting the full story? When instead, Ichigo could simply go to the Archives and read the public records of both Kaien and Isshin Shiba, with the excuse of being curious of the previous Shiba?

Just curious.
 
I don't want to talk to them about Isshin, so much as talk with them in general, or at least on how we're his son. Though if we did tell them I don't imagine Matsumoto would be an issue. Hitsugaya, who's a lot more stiff necked then her might be though.

Wouldn't telling the two confirm the connection between Kurosaki and Shiba? Right now, things are still iffy, the only one who has any kind of confirmation is Kukaku and she's not going to be ratting out any family members, and until we use the Getsuga Tenshou, no one would dare make a move to mess with the Living on what could be a simple coincidence. Especially with Urahara and Yoruichi possibly helping Isshin and the girls remain hidden.

Your earlier stance was to not take on the name Shiba to keep the family from being targeted and now it has changed to talking to the most hot-headed of the Captains, who, remember, attacked a fellow Captain because his crush, who was psychologically unstable at the time, was convinced that said Captain killed her own. Even using his shikai and injuring another VC in the process.

I understand that the status of Ichigo being Isshin's son will be a bit of an open secret at some point, but without that last link with Ichigo or Kukaku confirming it, Isshin and the girls should remain safe.

Remember, Ichigo at this point in time has one mission and one mission alone, to get in contact with his family again, one way or another. And that's pretty much it.

He already can speak to Kukaku about Isshin as a Shiba, and there's the public records of him as a Captain. So why would he need to speak to former subordinates when all he wants to do is to see his old man and sisters again?

Qsurf, I just said that I'm not particularly interested in telling them we're Isshin's son. And yes, I preferred not to take the Shiba name, but the thread decided otherwise, so now it's public knowledge and that's that. I also elaborated that I'm not that concerned if Matsumoto would find out, while saying that Hitsugaya would be more of a cause for concern as he's more stiff necked.

@qsurf You are aware that 'chatting about family, be it newly discovered or former coworker gossip' and 'Admitting who ones father is to all and sundry' are neither the same thing, nor automatically going to pair, right? Ichigo is now the first and currently only Soul Reaper (in training) Shiba. We know of just two, Isshin and Kaien, that previously served. 'Heeey, you're from that family? Our old kooky boss was from that family - wanna hear some stories?' is a perfectly normal sort of work gossip for such a situation.

Now I won't claim there aren't voters that have missed the thing you fear, but don't treat it as a matter of course, okay?

Look, her rabbits are absolutely adorable. Her art really isn't bad at all. And how the hell is being mediocre in art but happy and positive about your art a valid character flaw? Quite frankly anyone who dislikes Rukia for having self confidence and liking her own art is a numbnut, whose opinion can be safely discarded as trash.

I think it's less that some dislike her confidence in her artistic skills and more people got tired of it since it may have gotten overused by Kubo

I would LOVE it, if it was actually the sullen lil' guy Hitsugaya at the stand, not Rukia. I like their bickering better than Rukia's, and besides having just as much reason to pester Ichigo (espoused fellow reincarnate, stickler for rules such as say non-regulation uncompressed/HUGE Zanpakuto), he's even come with his own counterargument (MY sword' s big - what about you, you wannabe kid Sephiroth, ah!?).

Such a fun fakeout it'd be!
