Best In Life - Imperial Knight Order Quest [Warhammer Fantasy]

Okay looking back we were considering having monster mounts.

Demigryphs knights were one of the major contenders.

Whether we go full Demigryph knights or just save it for our inner circle.

She's friendly with Marius, but mostly because he's friends with Karl. Not so friendly with Emmanuelle. Volkmar is friendly but not close, and besides that she's not especially familiar with the other Electors. Johanna's not the most politically connected.
I can't help but imagine Frederick Von Hollenzern raising a mug of ostka in recognition-the two probably would get along well enough...Well, given the proper introduction so that Frederick doesn't come across as a drunken idiot. Don't think Johanna would give him that bad of an impression?

It is probably gonna be restricted to the Inner Circle. It is going to take effort to train both man and beast to create Demigryph Knights. Likely gonna need Amber Wizard and Taalite priest assistance.

Don't think Todbringer's daughter would be happy if we butt into the succession. The matter of which would be more complicated if his sons haven't died yet.

Really, it would be best to find someone unattached and heir less.

So's the Bretonnian Marquis
Yuck. Being forced into becoming a Chivalry Monkey's broodmare is not something i desire.

[X] Go to the Cults. Preserving the Empire nd fighting the dark things of the world are precisely what Sigmar and Ulric preach.

Hmm, I wonder if we could start recruiting girls to become Dames? It would be fun to have a female dominated Knightly Order.

[x] Go to Castle Reiksguard. While the majority of them are deployed, even a single Banner of Reiksguard can turn the tide.

Votes locked. Johanna will be looking to the various religious orders for help, with Sigmar and Ulric as big cheeses but also consuling Taal and Rhya, as well as Shallya.

Not sure if Verena has templars though, hm.

Well, outright recruitment might be difficult, but I wouldn't be exactly surprised if Johanna's reputation make a few adventurous girls try their luck in our order. Most of our recruits would probably still be men, but even having a mixed knight order would be enough to be notable, I think.

The Knights of the Everlasting Light are considered to be the most well known templars of Verena, but there are also the Order of the Sword and Scale, as well as the Knights of the Scroll. Everlasting Light are super well known from their bad luck, while the other two are less known...but also less cursed.

The Order of the Sword and Scale are the largest of the martial orders of Verena, and see themselves as agents of justice. Most often duty is guarding Verenan temples and dignitaries, occasionally as prison guards/escorts. Not just guards though, occasionally they are called for more active enforcement of justice. This includes enforcing the judgement of Verenan priests, ensuring justice is done with the point of the sword, battling agents of tyranny. They march alongside the other knightly orders when called to war or crusade as well.

The Knights of the Scroll are considerably less common than the Order of the Sword and Scale. Specifically tied with the Lorekeeper subset of Verenan cultists. Act as guards for libraries, universities, and temples. Usually to guard them when word of a controversial or supposedly forbidden item at them, against witch hunters or fanatics. Occasionally are sent to recover lost knowledge from dangerous areas, up to and including warzones. Sometimes they are enlisted as bodyguards to protect Verenans in the Order of Mysteries when they go on their expeditions. Wear scroll/parchment fragments all over their armor and/or quotes painted on their gear.

There may be others, but these seem to be the main three, according to the Tome of Salvation, pg. 75-76.

So we could maybe hope to get members of the Everlasting Light and the Order of the Sword and Scale.

"Hail, Grandmaster!" You emerge from your thoughts whe one of your knights calls out to you, wearing only his greaves and bracers; you don't recall letting them strip down for training. "I trust the talks went well?"

"when one of your" not "whe one of your"

The beastmen, to their credit, react with speed. Though hundreds of gors die in minutes, there are too many gathered around this herdstone to simply crush, even with a sudden cavalry charge like this. Ungors lead by minotaurs charge into close combat as momentum dries up and the beasts of the wild are locked into brutal combat, while those ungors armed with crude bows and spears nock arrows and ready to unleash hellupon their foe.

"hell upon their foe." not "hellupon their foe."

In my defense it is a Tuesday today.

Yeah no. Semantics earns you a Tax:

Also since people seem to have forgotten about this:

The Fae Roads: The Long March travels by hidden paths and backroads, unseen by the land's nominal rulers, and you've had the opportunity to study some of their methods… and their maps. While you could never copy their charts from memory alone, you still remember many of the hidden paths and forest trails used to travel the untamed wilderness in relative safety. (Awareness of Forest Shortcuts)

Hearoith: You have walked a leg of the Long March, an honour elven nobles compete fiercely for the chance to partake in. Although the unobtrusive brooch your elven comrades awarded you only grants you the status of a mere 'Hearoith'*, the Asur will still greet you with a measure of warmth for bearing it.

We have Asur connections. While I doubt we would have gotten more than a handful it would have been worth it to try and find some High Elf warriors and Johanna is the only one who could have done it. Disappointed no one even brought up the possibility of doing so.

That would be a very long trip and probably be to late

I actually hesitated to try to suggest a high-elf write-in, but the options would come with too many question marks, I think. Hopefully, we can try to prepare a battlefield near one of the elven paths we know, and hope we attract the right kind of attention.
