Best In Life - Imperial Knight Order Quest [Warhammer Fantasy]

You take the letter and not curtly at the man. He is doing his best, but it is not enough. "And to you, General."

"and nod curtly" not "and not curtly" I understand that Johanna is angry here, but in context she is probably nodding curtly and not notting curtly.

Blinking twice, you frown and take a step back. Magister Lord Taran von Raukov steps forward them, gruffly pushing the bird monster aside before glaring it into submission. He nods to you, saying nothing as he steps to the side and lets Sir Darron step forward with eight letters, each tinted a slightly different colour.

"steps forward then, gruffly" not "steps forward them, gruffly"

I see the Jade would rather heal the Hollenzerns then get in a real scrap. Thanks Frederick!

I think that whole 'Agh! I ripped a throat out with my bare teeth! AND IT TASTED GOOD!' thing is going to be a factor, especially with major Amber power on the field for humanity. Best not to have too much of that trick.
[X] You have a responsibility to a fief and to your order. Focus on defending Rottfurt.
It's not fun, but the counterpoint I'd make is 1. It's a Beastman herd, their leader aside most of em are a dime a dozen. 2. We kept making the arguement that we have people to protect. Let's stick to that.
[X] Leave the Runefang
Not fun, again. REALLY not fun-Runefangs are a thing after all, but I'm kind of the opinion (note: I have played A tabletop wargame all of once in my entire life, and not even Warhammer at that!) that the Runefangs, while IMPORTANT, are moreso for legitimacy/prestige reasons then being a really sweet sword. They ARE sweet swords, but the former is more important and thus a reason not to bring it. Also I don't know if this bayherd is THAT big a deal. Big, but not MASSIVELY big, yanno? No big names coming our way. I think.

Are you at all familiar with the Warhammer Fantasy setting at least?

Mostly through Quests like this one, frankly. I'd say I probably know the setting better then I'm giving myself credit for but there'd definitely be something missing or off if I tried to engage someone in talking about Warhammer at length with someone.

[X] Take charge of an army detachment and hunt down the Beastlord. You are the most eligible for the task, so you will do it

So like me for the most part. Right then the Runefangs are a moral multiplier on the battlefield if the battle itself is important enough or is being fought with at least one Elector Count participating. In this fight a Runefang carried into battle will draw the Beastlord into a battlefield duel with Johanna so it's only useful if we go hunt for the Beastlord. Which is something you've already accounted for with your plan.

The problem with your plan is that the village of Rottfurt doesn't have any defenses that will stand up to a Brayherd. As such the only option to take is to break up the Brayherd by slaying it's Beastlord. It's a risky action, but most voters don't think there is a better action to take.

Well we certainly have an unconventional army here, hopefully we can still managed to cover our little brother's butt here with Reikland so undefended.

Going against the grain. That's a low amount of core line units, they're going to need some more bolstering to avoid being enveloped or having the line just buckle from weight.

Well, it appears that when we had to decide on our army composition for this conflict, we looked at the elite and heroic unit lists, said we'll take all of those and then when told that we needed a minimum number of basic troops to have a legal army set up, extremely grudgingly pulled out the basic troops list and grabbed the absolute minimal amount of them, so as to still be able to grab as many top tier elites and heroes as possible.

Great planning on our part, wasn't it? XD (Damnit dice, sometimes we'd like a little less drama with our story...)

Really no reason for us not to take the Runefang, if we die then the Quest is already over and then the matter of losing a Runefang won't really matter.

What is Battlegroup Wizard?
1 Bright Magister
2 Light Magisters
1 Celestial Battle Wizard
1 Amber Battle Wizard, 2 Amber Magisters
1 Grey Magister
1 Amethyst Magister
1 Gold Journeyman
Amber Wizard Lord Taran von Raukov
...attempting to discover if Enuff Dakka is achievable apparently. Because holy shit, that is a fuckton of wizards with a Wizard Lord to command them.

Like, I think it might be feasible to have the Taalite scouts locate the target and potentially call a meteor strike on larger masses.
