Best Game Ever | Dudley Quest [HP/The Gamer]

Well, Vernon & Petunia know Harry is the cause. Dudley seemed to have known he was the cause. It's just that none of them knew the trigger until Dudley got his Observe boost.
Still, change of this type is best done gradual in our situation.

...I suppose that would also make it more oblique/subtle. In addition to getting us in the habit of making more long-term plans(and getting us a better headstart on boxing).

[X] Go check your D&D books , it should help you finish figuring things out
[X] Goto Library/Bookstore and find as many skill books as possible

[X] Doing smart things made you better at being smart.
-[X] Does that Harry hunting might make you faster?
--[X] You don't feel like dealing with the freak right now though. Besides, Piers isn't here to hold his arms.
---[X] See if you can hunt some of that crazy lady's cats instead.

@ Qeqre: I completely missed that, its a great idea!

...Kind of sad that nobody seems to like my write-in of going outside to train VIT/AGI by hunting Ms. Figg's cats/kneazels... Potentially getting an encounter that should be at or around our CR if we corner it(level 1 commoner muggle gamer vs a cat/kneazel) to fight for exp(and maybe loot if we accidentally kill it, we have an inventory to hide the body)...

Kind of sad that nobody wants to use my write in to try and get the massage skill which would allow us to stay awake 24/7.

I wonder where Dudley got D&D books anyway. I didn't think his parents would be willing to buy something magic related, even for their darling son.

How are you going to go about this-? Whatever is going on has some obvious parallels with a few games you've played, in addition to the 'Gamer' thing you'd seen above your name. Thinking about it... Malcolm had smuggled you a copy of some game book a while back- 'Dungeons and Dragons' or some such. Maybe you'd be able to figure out what was going on if you read it? You hadn't actually touched it after you saw the picture of a wizard on the front, so you're not quite sure what's really in it.

*Cough*

Chase cats, grind VIT/AGI/EXP, avoid getting addicted to vidya and be a pest to Dumbledore's spy? What's not to like?

I mean, if we're addicted to video games in 1991 that might mean we're being a nerd...
Egad you're right!

Well, I'm mostly just voting this way because you tried, and that's something.

"By nightfall, Dudley was howling. He'd never had such a bad day in his life. He was hungry, he'd missed five television programs he'd wanted to see, and he'd never gone so long without blowing up an alien on his computer."

Canon Dudley is now a bonafide nerd, I suppose.

[X] Try to train one of your new skills
-[X] Can you train boxing against the air? You think you've seen people do that before...

[x] Leave some of those sandwiches in our inventory for a rainy day once we get our cooking skill from making them.

[X] Engineer yourself a house of cards! Or a pyramid. Pyramids are probably more stable.

Today a house of cards.

Tomorrow a mecha
blech, no mechas please.
Besides, giant enemies are easily defeated by heroes, and hey, that is us now!
