--[X] Try to 'punch' the air, until you punch Sonic Boom! Just make sure it's well away, and blame Harry if all else fails.

Would have voted otherwise, but can't bother thinking of a last minute vote change. Besides...

Beware, Harry is unto us. And given his freakiness can attract freakiness, we better be careful with our 'gamer' status. Least his freakiness catches unto us further, by a Hogwarts letter.

[x] Just play video games for the rest of the evening. [advance to next day]

Maybe there's a video game skill? And video games are fun. Don't need no excuse to play them.

Dudley quest? awesome.

As you close the door, you think you hear Harry mutter something under his breath, but it's too quiet for you to make out the details.
"Okay, that was absolutely Dudley. Ouch."
Thinking about it, it's sort of odd that Harry would confront you directly. Usually, he only throws out infuriating one-liners in order to distract you before he runs away. Still, you muse as you start on your sandwich, it's more likely that he was telling the truth when he said it was because you were acting strangely than it was that he was acting like a twerp for no reason at all.

Also, Hora.

[X] Doing smart things made you better at being smart.
-[X] Does that Harry hunting might make you faster?
--[X] You don't feel like dealing with the freak right now though. Besides, Piers isn't here to hold his arms.
---[X] See if you can hunt some of that crazy lady's cats instead.

[X]Leave some of those sandwiches in our inventory. You might get hungry later.

[X] Go check your D&D books, it should help you finish figuring things out

I wonder if, should we find a way to make use of mana and such, we might get a Hogwarts letter?

-[X] After that, tell our parents we want to pick up boxing. Tell them to sign us up for a month or two in case we don't commit.
-[X] IF Vernon didn't do boxing, ask if we can get Harry to sign up too, since he's so scrawny and we'd want a sparring partner during off-days/hours at home. BUT, only if he wants to because...
-[X] Obliquely point out that Harry clearly causes weird shit to happen. But it happens in particular when someone seriously upsets him. So they should try to avoid that. Which can be done by minimizing contact with Harry when possible.

I do not think this is particularly OOC:
1. Dudley possibly has a predisposition to it already. Infact, it could be a family thing since our dad has a boxing manual and boxing is a thing in Smeltings IIRC.
2. Dudley is now The Gamer. He KNOWS he can level up things with ridiculously less effort. and he can tangibly tell in a very easy to understand way how he's improving (stats, level, etc).
3. As for the last part: Dudley knows what triggers weird magic shit to happen. Dudley also has a vested interest to not have horrible paranormal things happen to his parents and himself.

I'm not sure if we'd want to reveal our new skill to our parents now or never unless we're forced to. Because the sooner we do it, the less fallout there would be.

...This would involve beating Harry up, which we'd want IC . It would also allow Harry to fight back, which we don't want IC.

Forcing him to spend time with us beating the shit out of him under the pretext of sparring might also sour his mood, which could cause "freak stuff" to happen.

So IC it would probably conflict with our unwillingness to absorb blows and our unwillingness to trigger accidental magic. Our increased intelligence is the thing that makes it OOC.

--[X] If you're able to gain a few levels in Boxing before bed, maybe you'll try a fighting game out and see if there are any special moves you can try out.

Besides, reading them shouldn't take long and might help with combat practice.

It depends if he wants to box or not, and/or get an opportunity to punch us and get away with it.

And we don't know whether or not he does want to do so IC and aren't in the habit of asking what he wants/be considerate of his wants either.

If we want to avoid accidental magic IC, forcing Harry to take up boxing with us is OOC.

Would be less OOC if we didn't care about accidental magic and the wanting our parents to treat Harry better to avoid accidental magic is fairly IC.

Combined with Piers' tendency to hold Harry's arms while we beat Harry up making it likely that we don't like it when our opponent can fight back it's OOC to ask Harry to receive boxing lessons alongside us.

Basically, due to our increased intelligence/wisdom, your vote would be IC if you dropped the bit about getting Harry boxing lessons.

I edited my vote to try to do it in an IC way. What do you think? It's a nice way of tying them together if Vernon isn't up for boxing

And, I think it's more Dudley just wanted to be a bully. But he could see the point of having a sparring partner for grinding. Besides, Dudley should know he"ll progress faster at boxing than Harry. He already has a head start, even.

That works well enough I suppose?

Though it would probably work better if we first signed ourselves up for boxing and established with our parents that Harry clearly causes weird shit before asking at a later date(after the first lesson or two) for Harry to also get signed up.

That way we can make it seem more like a genuine request for a sparring partner and hopefully not force their willingness to spoil us to compete with their unwillingness to let Harry have nice things(by spacing the requests out).

We don't want to risk them starting to get in the habit of saying "no" to us after all...

Seriously, now is not the point in time where it's IC to get Harry started on boxing.

Well, Vernon & Petunia know Harry is the cause. Dudley seemed to have known he was the cause. It's just that none of them knew the trigger until Dudley got his Observe boost.
