Considering Cornell's a werewolf trying to get rid of the werewolf thing, that could actually work with that. Though yeah, I'm trying to remember something else I thought would work more but I can't remember right now.

2.1 Last week of August.

    Even with all the excitement of getting a new navi from dad and the possibility of entering the most important tournament of the year I had forgotten that I still need to study, so I make sure to spend a little time of each on it.

    Intelligence: D++ >>>>> D+++

    When I told mom about mi first day her face was a mix of emotions, she was happy, proud, a little surprise and… a little frustrate?

    But then when I asked her help to train to the tournament, her face transformed into a smile that only promise me something, that my future was going to be full of pain… for my own good.

    And that's how I end with Forte at one of the police department training matrix simulation.

    It looked like an old pier with a lot of warehouses and empty metal containers.

    "Ok honey, the goal in this simulation is to find the suspect and detained him, the suspect in this case is Patrol, but by careful he had time to prepare the field to his advantage." She explained to me from the other side of the living room.

    "Understood, Forte begin to look for any suspicious movement and keep your eyes open." I said while looking around too.

    "Very- Ugh!" Forte answered was interrupted by shoot right at his chest sending to the ground.

    "Forte! Are you alright?" I asked at worry.

    "Yes, it wasn't a strong attack." He said while stand up.

    Then a screen appears right in front of Forte with the face of Patrol in it.

    "These were training rounds, you're in an area with an enemy in an unknown position, you should be in cover right now." Was the only thing the navi said before closing the screen.

    "I will find you- *ugh*" Forte's threat was interrupted by another shoot.

    The screen appears again, "Less talk more covering." And close again.

    While all this occurred mom was just sitting at the couch smiling at me, it wasn't a reassuring smile.

    I sighted, well I supposed that the whole point of this is to learn new things, no matter how long it takes.

    "Ok, Forte let's do this again."

    "Don't go in the open like that, you become an easy target."

    "Again."

    "Did you put mines!?"

    "Keep an eye on the field."

    "A mini-gun!?"

    "Sometimes the enemy simply is going to pursuit you, be ready."

    "Ok I think that's enough for today," Mom said after 5 hour of training, "You have a good progress dear, good job." She smiled.

    "Ugh" Was the only thing I could say.

    "You too Forte," Mentioned Patrol at the matrix.

    "Ugh." Forte answered with his face on the ground.

    "I can't wait to our next training!" Mom happily leaved the room.

    I have been waiting a moment to talk with Forte to know a little more about him, and resting after that hellish training seemed like a good chance.

    "Hey Forte?"

    "Huh?"

    "I want to learn a little more about you, like, what do you like to do, what you did before dad send, who create you, things like that."

    "…Why?" He answered after a few seconds of silent, a little hesitantly.

    AN: Ok, these are you first social links, if you're wondering about the points with mom is simple, you have enough points to go to the next synchrony level, but it won't advance until you choice her unique event, the same with your other friends.

    AN 2: Skills like the ones you earned come in two classes, the ones that only Gig know, and the ones that both Gig and Forte share.

    AN 3: The choice with Forte should be obvious, choice right, win points, be a jerk, and win nothing.

    I see our mother subscribes to the, "Bleed more in practice to bleed less in the field," school of thought. I approve. Was expecting some Ranged Attack, but this is good too. We should probably clock some more time with her.

    Also I don't think we had any sense of tactics before this, so F+++ is a fairly substantial improvement for one session.

    Huh, come to think of it Lan and Megaman probably had a pretty impressive Tactics stat in canon. They're strong, but not really the strongest. Their teamwork and tactics seem to be what distinguishes them. That and their synchronization with themselves and others, which is straight up godly. Possibly literally, if you go by MMBN5. Probably worth cribbing off their playbook.

    Didn't expect studying to be simply raising Intelligence, but it's not bad. Pushing up to C would be good I suppose, but since this apparently isn't keeping us current on the material, and from becoming an idiot savant slacker like Lan, I'm less enthused.

    As for Forte, obvious choice seems obvious. We want to be friends. We're trying to reach out.

    Thought of another Navi you could potentially use, Eve of Elsword. She has seven different appearances/classes (Tier 1 with 3 pairs of Tier 2 and 3s) that you might be able to find a good fit for someone. I'm thinking Nanako again specifically.

    I simply didn't want to create a sub-skill to every possible thing you could learn so a made it a little global :V

    Here are some things that you have to study directly if you want to know about them though. For example, if you study about virus, is possible that next time that you fight a new one if it's common enough you may know already some of its stats.

    "I just want to know more about you, we're friends now after all, right?" I answered sheepishly.

    Forte stare for a moment, before replying.

    "I don't know."

    "Huh?"

    "I… don't remember much, the last thing that I remember is voice, telling me to trust my operator and that eventually I would get my memory back." He said with a distant look at his face.

    That was worrying, I assumed by his silent personality, that either Forte was a very new navi or it was an old one that miss his original operator, but it seemed like here was some error in his memory banks.

    How serious is that not even the lab of my dad could find a wait to fix it?

    But right now it wasn't the time of speculation, it was the time to offer support to my navi.

    "Well, I don't know what I can do, but I promise to help you get your memories back, we're navi and operator now, we fight together and work together, right?" I ended with what I hope was a reassuring smile.

    "…Right," Forte answered with an almost imperceptible smile.

    Synchrony Forte: Level 2 (0 to 6 points to next level).

    "Why did we accept this?" Was the only thing Forte said while dragged by the arm by Neptune.

    "Because D. Va won these amazing VIP invitations for the next party of the DJ Lucio in the matrix and she wanted to bring her friends! Now stop being so hard and let your adorable Sempai let you to the fun! Nepu!" The little girl answered while doing her best to drag Forte.

    I mean while was in my living room with Hana, each watching the scene in our handhelds.

    "D'awww they're so adorable together." She cooed.

    "I guess, where are Chie and Connie?" I asked, they were 1 hour late now.

    "Huh? I didn't tell you? Connie's mom make her stay in her house to study and Chie said something about helping a friend in a hotel, so today is just you and me, aren't you lucky," she winked.

    "Sure?" Honestly, I have been friend with Hana for so long that I think was almost immune to her teasing… almost.

    "Oh, it seems like they're already there," Hana promptly said.

    When I looked at my screen I see that she was right, Neptune and Forte were in what it looked like a big club with many levels and lots and lots of navis dancing.

    Neptune looked really excite, Forte on the other hand looked like he wanted to be in anyplace else than there, sorry dude but Hana's puppy eyes is something I know I'm not immune to.

    Then suddenly the lights of the clubs turn off except for one in the DJ booth, there a navi appear with a big smile on her face.


    And behind her a big screen turn on showing the grin of who I think is Lucio.


    "What's up people! Lucio's here to bring some rhythm to your lives! My girl here Vinyl Scratch and I, have made some sweet beats for you tonight, so just relax and let the music flow through you!"

    With that the DJ navi just bring one thump up before turning on the lights and begin to play a song.



    With the lights on I notice that Neptune wasn't at Forte side anymore, but before I could ask where she had go a group of thug looking navis walked towards him.

    "Hey, you're that wimp that came here our goddess!" One of them yelled.

    "Huh?" Was the only thing that Forte could say.

    "Don't try to play dumb! We see you come here with the goddess Neptune!" Another one said.

    "We have watched each and every one of her streams, all of her vlogs, all of her reviews, who are you to have the honor of be here with her!"

    "Yeah! We're going to show you a lesson punk!"

    Ok, this situation is becoming very weird, I think is better if I try to resolve this problem without any fight… even though it looked like Forte would like to fight.

    "Huh, something wrongs?" Hana asked, interrupting my thoughts.

    [] "Here are some weird guys saying that Neptune is her goddess or something."
    [] "No, nothing just trying to make Forte enjoy the party," I think I can resolve this myself.
    [] "I think is better if we call it a night, Forte isn't really enjoying himself."

    Write-ins accepted? Kind of a "Meh" truthful with a "Forte wants to blow some steam off so why not let him" tacked on. And then Neptune bounces in at the worst moment for them. I think Forte could appreciate her walking all over them like that, as long as she doesn't kill-steal (metaphorically) to do it.
     
    On one hand, kinda right there with Forte on wanting to throw dowb.

    On the other? Do not wanna get kicked out for fighting.

    If there's an arena for Netbattles that may be ideal.

    Will add a write in later if possible buf I'm not sure we want to phrase it as Forte being bored by the party. Don't want to insult a friend and really, he seems more uncomfortable. To which I say...

    Its more figuring out what he likes. He's willing to try it out at least, which is pretty good.

    He might just not like it loud or crowded. *Shrug*

    @Astaroh-M How sapient are Navis usually? Especially the custom ones? Like the one's our friends have.

    Honestly, I think is better if I tell her the true; I mean these weirdos may approach Neptune later.

    "Here are some weird guys saying that Neptune is her goddess or something." I said and Hana eyes immediately wide.

    "What!? These assholes again?" She yelled.

    "Again?"

    "Yeah these jerks have being stalking Neptune for a while, last time a delete all of them so I thought that their operators had finally learned their lesson, but it seem I was wrong, Neptune maneuver 45!" She commanded her navi with a look of concentration.

    "Darn that's creepy, though to say the true I think Forte prefers this situation."

    "Huh?" She looked at me with curiosity.

    "I don't think that parties are his 'thing', he seems to enjoy fights more than anything." I answered sheepishly.

    Synchrony Forte: Level 2 (3 to 6 points to next level).

    Hana face became surprise and then she just grinned, "Oh? Then he's going to like this party."

    I didn't know what she means by that, but before I could say anything I was distracted by a yell in my handheld.

    "Maneuver 45: Anti-Creeper Strike! Nepu!" From nowhere a katana appeared and flied right at the thugs… Only for hit some other civilian navi.

    "Hey what's the big deal!? You wanna fight?" The civilian navi punched another, and before I notice the whole party become a huge all out brawl.

    "I think I missed nepu." The young looking navi said standing to the side of Forte.

    When she moved there?

    "I'm sorry my young apprentice, I wanted for you to have fun at this party but it seems like my fame ruined," She said really dejected.

    Hana seemed want to say something, but was interrupted by Forte. who just smirked before saying, "This looks fun to me," And them my navi throws himself into the fight.

    Neptune just stood here with a look of utter excitement for having seen a different emotion in Forte's face.

    Hana meanwhile was clearly amused, "I kind of like your navi Gig."

    …I'm the only one that isn't a battle maniac around here?

    Virus busting is one the principal activities in the matrix, not only because many people find it entertaining, but because the huge amount of virus that are in the matrix.

    The government does its best to try to stop this, but the truth is that they don't manage much.

    The people had find two solutions to this problem, the first one are all kind of private companies that work at keeping certainty areas of the matrix secure, for a price; the second one are the virus busting job squares, basically, here is a square per city with all kind of navis offering busting jobs for people that can defeat some virus for one reason or another.

    The square of Server City is one of the biggest ones so it wasn't difficult to find a job to get a little money:

    [] Rat Traps: Help a farmer clean the data base of his food inventory from some mouse viruses.
    Throw a D100 - Gain (10*Dice number) credits.

    [] Old pest: A teacher wants help cleaning an old computer of some very old viruses.
    Throw a D50 - Gain (20*Dice number) credits.

    [] It was an accident!: An anonymous request, it seems like someone use his big brother handheld to visit a matrix area that they shouldn't have, and now is full of viruses.
    Throw a D20 - Gain (50*Dice number) credits.

    AN: I going to be honest, I find funny that all of you wanted to keep things calm, while being with D. Va and Neptune. :V

    AN 2: Yes you can win social points in other people events.

    AN 3: The mission rules are very simple, you're going to defeat the virus no matter what, the dice will determine how many virures are and how much money you will gain, and in these 3 missions only 2 have 'new' virus.

    AN 4: After this mission comes the rumor mill.
