The unveiled form Bug+Bug+Crystal. I know he won't be as big as the picture is, I just like its design. Also I'd like the carapace to have a fluctuating sheen that looks like the rainbow effect you see in gasoline as the color design. He would also have some small crystal growths on his body, they come in a verity of colors.

Human form that I'll be using for all my builds I'll just be describing any difference in look.
View: http://imgur.com/a/DYW4DL7 Has dark black hair.
Flaws
Odd Hair color- His hair is a darker black within human standards but it has the gasoline sheen when it catches the light.

Abnormal oral trait- his teeth are all sharper and more pointed than normal, they are also made out of crystals but they aren't multicolored they are a literal perly white.

Distal Aberration- His hands/forearm look like the ones in the picture sheen and all that except with 5 fingers and they end in pointed obsidian black crystal claws.

Geode+Man+Fish
The crystal head slowly shifts through any hue and I mean any. The body will be male, the lower half will look more crystalline not scally, also so he can move on land I'd like him to not swim through just water but also on a magic current that allows him to move like he floats a few feet off the ground. If he speaks in this form I like it to come out in an echo chime that sounds nice to human ears but unsettling to thing that can hear more frequency.

Human form- look at the above link for base design. Has paler white skin.

Flaws
Eerie glowing eyes- his Sclera are clear and diamond like and will shine with a rainbow of color if they are to directly hit by lights makes it kind hard to hide in the dark.

Odd body trait- the crystal scales of his other form can be found in patches around his body.

Living Tattoos- it looks like he has an alien ocean reef ecosystem on him but the creatures either look monstrous or oddly beautiful.

That all I've got in me right now ,but I have 2-3 more I'll post later.

Tree+organ+man or Organ+man+tree whichever is fine with me. Color wise I'm all good with what the picture has.

Human form-see above post for base look. He has rusty red hair this time, with bright green eyes

Flaws
Odd Distal Pigment- his hands and feet look like there staind in a dried blood color

Non-existent somatic processes

Dermal lines- The musels throughout his body look more like the twisting roots of a tree add with non-existent somatic processes he does a pretty good impression of a wooden man.

Un-man+fungus+squid

Human form- See above post for base look.
Has a more sunken in look and is all around unhealthy looking.

Flaws
Pungent oder- Has an intense body oder that is sickly sweet extremely disliked by most animals but is attractive to insects

Abnormal oral traits- Has an extended and narrowed tongue along with dark mucus/saliva and has those little gills underneath mushrooms on the top of his mouth

Living tattoos- there it a plethora of weird fungal art work that grows and withers on his form

View: http://imgur.com/a/DV69jNy
Wyrm+salamander+rot or Salamander+wyrm+rot ether is good.
Color wise is good but a nice acidic green for saliva and fluids would be great.

Human form- See above post for base. Has a more dried out complexion with flaky dried skin

Flaws
Eerie glowing eyes- Acidic green eyes that have a reptilian pupil

Abnormal oral trait- has sharper teeth, increased saliva production ,and one of his smaller reptilian heads that can slid up and outside throat like a second mouth

Inner growths- your flesh strains in its confines so you Human form can look like it has something squirming beneath it at times. I don't know what bonuses this would get I leave that to you.

View: http://imgur.com/a/NN5RVik
Tree+maw+organ Color wise I would like a purple glow along with the petal parts to be a bit more vibrant in there look.

Human form- see above post for base look. Clear blue eyes along with dirty blond hair.

Flaws
Forehead Marker- some leaves and flower petals grow around the area were his hair line is, they form a natural looking diadem

Pungent odder- you smell oddly enticing this aroma may relax other people or for things of a more beastly nature it may draw them in while also drawing out there appetite

Distal Aberration- your hands end in a twisted mass of vines that split off into four finger like thorned tips that have a maw in the palm equivalent of your hand

So, let's try doing another attempt that is not based on my previous one.

The Grimoire Garment : The Lunatic Loom
  • Form of Man : What'd he look like? Well, he was finely dressed, wore slacks, a button up shirt, gloves. The shirt's top button was a little fancier, almost seemed to sparkle. Oh, the man himself? Right, well... He looked... pretty normal? Hight was about what you'd expect, average I guess. Hair? I think it was brown, maybe black? Or was it blond? Look, it didn't really stand out enough to stick in my memory. He seemed about what I'd expect a person there to look like, but that's about it.

A nice outfit of good material is worn by a nondescript man. There is nothing remarkable about his appearance, to the point this that trait may be worthy of note, for if any truly try to recall just how he looked, they'll come to realize they can recall no details of his appearance, just that it didn't seem unusual or out of the ordinary for what they would expect of someone in the area.

As for the clothing, that can be detailed, but is by no means consistent or fixed, save for the quality. Always the material seems fine, a like a high grade of wool or perhaps silk. Patterns or designs always seem to be made from the thread itself being so dyed, rather than some picture or design being painted on after the cloth was woven. Hard, non-cloth portions seem to be made from a material that might be black ebony wood, or perhaps ivory bone, as seems more appropriate, yet managing to be both. Occasionally gem like decorations may feature. Most telling however is the interior of the garments. Where on a suit jacket one might expect a pattern of paisley, these instead have strange scripts and patterns that may befuddle the mind or twist the senses. A skilled practitioner may recognize them as not simple designs, but rather spells and rituals recorded in an unknown, yet understandable way, describing how to twist existence in various ways. These designs shift and change over time, but always do they provide hints of knowledge o those that know how to read them.

If one without a mind were to try and observe the individual, such as a camera or recording, they may find the more accurate truth of their appearance. There is no man present, only empty clothing, moving under its own power. The image of a man provided by a shallow projection into the minds of watchers that a normal individual is present within them. Due to the lack of an actual body, gloves are needed if they wish to mimic hands in a normal fashion. Any time this disguised form is taken, the specific outfit may be redesigned to suit its desires and needs.

  • Luminal Archetype :
    • Main : A texture akin to wool or cotton, the material is a dark black as if looking into some vast darkness. Occasionally one might think they spy shapes or colours in that vast distance, yet they are only ever glimpsed.
    • Trim : Translucent, silk like thread that seems entirely devoid of any physical essence. As if thread shaped from nothingness. Most often, it is dyed with various powers of reality, ranging from the emotional spectrum, to the various parliaments such as The Red, The Green, etc. When so dyed, it can be vibrantly coloured, or dully if impurities are present. Despite being dyed by these powers, they cannot truly use it. Instead they serve simply as dye and marking for the tapestry they are woven into.
    • Weapon : Like some cross between ebony wood and ivory bone, the hard substance seems to be both, neither, or either as appropriate.
    • Glow : A scintillating purple, as if electric, yet it seems to radiate darkness rather than illumination, casting in shadows all it touches save for the purple glow, seeming all the brighter for the contrast.

  • Form Unveiled : I thought at first I'd stumbled upon a madman's workshop. The loom, for what else could it be with cloth being woven upon it so, was a twisted thing of unnatural angles and festooned in demented cloth. Yet as I look I realized no craftsman had a hand in its creation. It was as if a tree of bone had grown into the shape, and even as I watched I saw it weaving bereft of weaver. Threads spinning from unseen spools to form a tapestry that folded and curved in on itself in what should be a massive tangle, yet somehow managed to invoke a feeling of elegant design. The shape and pattern was beyond my understanding, yet as I looked upon it I could sense a hint of reason lurking within. I dared not linger to learn more though, for I realized the thing had noticed me. I know not how I could tell, yet a feeling within the air seemed to change, and I soon saw the cloth beginning to move as if to reach for me. So I fled that place, and have not returned.

It's form is like a tree of bone, grown into a loom to weave a tapestry of creation. Its has no visible roots, yet surly they are there, spreading through the cracks of reality and teasing out its secrets, that it might depict them in is creation. It has no need of spools, to weave its cloth, for small crystals and pustules growing throughout expel the thread it uses, often dyeing it in the powers of creation to provide it colour, resulting in cloth that is as much a part of it as the loom that weaves it.

The cloth itself is the bulk of the beast, a shifting thing folded in impossible shapes, it depicts the nature of reality and describes it flaws and loopholes. Secrets ferreted out by the probing, non-existent roots of the loom. Recoded for use by the creature itself or perhaps others who manage to puzzle out their meaning. Some however rely on the distorting presence of the loom and cloth to function, and would be useless in its absence.

In time, it's mapping of reality may cause the relationship to blur, such that it can affect local reality simply by adjusting its depiction of it, but that is a goal of distant future, and not yet a concern within the present. Instead onlookers should concern themselves with the ambulatory cloth with unusual properties due to inscrolled patterns of mystic import, and the sharp implements made from the bone of the loom, capable of piecing flesh as easily as cloth.

It has no proper eyes, as might be thought of by most being, but that is not to say it has none. Scintillating purple motes capable of shifting throughout the surface of the loom and the cloth provide the creature its vision, and may in turn be observed to glean insight into what has captured its attention.

    • The Organ : It is a purely asymmetrical shape, or resembling a bulbous mass of tissue. Very likely has citae, tendrils or cyst like growths. (Greater Psionics)
    • The Tree : A tree like form, with branches, roots and even leaves, though may not necessarily be out of plant matter. (Distant Seeds)
    • The Geode : The form of a crystal, either as the central mass of the entity, or a substance resembling rock with glass like growths across its surface. (Stronger Spells)
    • With hints of The Polyp : Unlike bilaterally symmetrical organisms, the Polyp design is radial in shape, or at least, is mostly radial. (Local Non-Euclidean Region)

  • Flaws :
    • Minor Flaws : .
      • Odd Distal Pigmentation : Your hands and feet tend to have an oddly coloured pigment. Better keep those gloves and shoes on in public. (Cannot pick this and Distal Aberration at the same time)
There are not truly head, hands, or feet outside the cloths that would seemingly cover them.
      • Non-Existent Somatic Processes : You don't need to breathe… or even eat for that matter. Even the way you move that makes people get weird vibes about you. Heck, you oftentimes forget to even blink! Sometimes it happens in public and… well… some people find it unsettling… but they can't quite tell what it is. Most of the time.
Lacking a true body outside the garments, it has no need to provide for one.
    • Mayor Flaws : Probably intended to be Major, but Mayor it is.
      • Living Tattoos : Your entire body is covered in artworks that seem to possess a life of their own, moving and swirling in non-Euclidean patterns and bizarre designs. While aesthetically pleasing… if somewhat disconcerting, they surely do draw a lot of unwanted attention at times. The great perk is that it boosts acts of thaumaturgy and sorcery as the tattoos often are arcane nexus designs. ++Magic.
For those with the knowledge or insight to recognize what they look upon, the inner lining of the Grimoire Garment is a wealth of knowledge. It is however not without risks, as the twisting secrets depicted may twist minds attempting to follow them.

Don't think this one came out quite so well as the first, but it seems to get the idea across I think.

Wyrm
The colors are all good but I'd like it if he had a ghostly purple flame coming out of his segmented bits

Human form- see above post for base look. He's natural albino so very white skin and pink eyes.

Flaws

Odd Distal pigmentation- his body looks like there are oddly shaded parts the are reminiscent of sand dunes or patches of sand they also shift around over time like grains of sand in a non-existent wind

Sound of what's inside- as he moves around his inner form moves and shift this makes odd clicking or cracking sounds and can sound like bones breaking when he makes faster movements

Living tattoos- wyrms that look like his inner form can be seen moving between and into the sandy patches of skin on his body.

Alright that's the last one, if you have any question just shoot me a message.

I think the salamander geode and the bird, major drawback Living Tattoos, minor drawbacks Eerie Glowing Eyes, and Abnormal Oral Traits, magic fire breathing lizard for the win, weird teeth and eyes for intimidation Something like this but with gems coming out of it and dark purple and green
How the human looks like, he is tall, has black hair, has yellow snake eyes, he has sharp teeth and a long tongue, he is also a little buff.
Sorry I am not good at human characters

As a bit of advice, if you struggle with describing human characters in a context like this, then don't bother doing so. Focus instead on how they fail at being human, and lovingly detail that with a sense of "so horrible you can't look away but instead must see it through".

For instance, the character might be a 190cm brunet wall of muscle with olive tan skin, or they might be a scrawny 130cm redhead who's stick thin limbs seem more likely to break if they throw a punch than hurt their opponent. But no one is going to care enough to pay attention to that and notice when seen alongside that horrid slavering maw, less a mouth so much as a gash upon their face. It lacks lips, and seems too thin, almost vanishing when closed, yet as it opens it can be seen to stretch far too wide, seeming almost to escape the confines of their head. Inside lay not orderly rows of teeth, but a jagged field of spikes, seemingly scattered without pattern or reason, yet each shaped to pierce and tear the flesh of anything unfortunate enough to find its way inside. And that tongue, a long twisting thing, with edges that seem almost to match the teeth in sharpness, is coils through that deadly field to grasp up any morsels trapped within and pull them deeper into its gullet. Such is its length I fear it could reach beyond the things arms were it so inclined to extend it full from the mouth. Sat above this affront to that which we call mouths rest two eyes. Placed as one might expect of a person, yet they too are twisted. Lit with a sickly yellow glow, they are not the eyes of a man, but more a snake, with no distinction between iris and white, the whole of the eye is coloured by a web of yellow so thick and overlapping as to render whatever lies beneath unseen, save for the pupil, a vertical black slit reaching from the bottom to the top, harshly defined from the surrounding eye. It's black looking far darker and deeper than any eye should as it seems almost to pull in and feed on the light around it.

Put another way, focus on the details that are important, and leave the rest to other people's imagination. If the human traits don't really matter to the idea, skim over them in favour of the decidedly inhuman traits. Though I suppose if you do have some clear ideas on how the person should look, don't think this advice means you should avoid detailing that.

And so the Vote Begun
Well, the time has come. I have compiled the list of candidates and put them through the most arduous, challenging series of debates I have done till date.

A debate with the God of Dices.

And his wisdom has spoken!

  • Geode, Polyp and Unman. Meloa789. The Obsidian King.
  • Tree, Wyrm and Geode. Spiderlord4. The Blood Root.
  • Unman, Polyp. OneGiantDunceCap. The Folded Prince.

  • Salamander, Geode, Bird. Dirty Deeds Done. The Amethyst Guivre.
  • Salamander, Unman, Tree. Drakken666. The Monarch Dragon.
  • Unman, Polyp, Salamander. TJG. The Fractured Memory.
  • Polyp, Geode, Wyrm. Goatpile. The Twilight Leviathan.
  • Wyrm, Polyp, Organ. Owrtho. The Crimson Spiral.
  • Insect, Geode. Crab0Stab0. The Bismutin Walker.

  • Wyrm, Geode. Lost Centurion. The Stained Band.
  • Wyrm, Insect, Geode. AsuratheTraitor. The Ceaseless Abyss.

D16. Roll until I have 7 candidates. Lucky Winners were:

11. 3. 5. 7. 9. 4. 14

By order and name they go as:

3. The Folded Prince.

4. The Ivory Haemotrope.

5. The Amethyst Guivre.

7. The Fractured Memory.

9. The Crimson Spiral.

11. The Dracaenan Knight.

14. The Stained Band.

Therefore, OneGiantDuneCap, Ramarok, Dirty Deeds Done, TJG, Owrtho, Carb0Stab0 and Lost Centurion; congratulations, you guys reached the semi-finals! Now the battle commences to see who among your unholy sparks of creativity comes out on top on this competition.

WOOH!

Alright, but serious now, please limit yourselves to voting in either Spacebattles or Sufficient Velocity. Not both, because that would be unfair to those who do not have two accounts. I will make the poll, collect the results after three days and then add them up to see the true winners. Then I will pick up the three most popular and of those, I will decide on which is the best suited for the story ahead.

Anyway, now that that's over, as well as that exam, I can finally finish the next part. I hope to have it finished by… Wednesday. Fair warning though, I am not as pleased as I hoped with it. There is only so much fighting one can do when logic is doing its best to exert its oftentimes ignored rules on an illogical universe. I mean… in the YJ series, Desmond should not even have been able to even get the chance to drink that damn Blockbuster Formula, especially in front of over a dozen telepathic genomorphs that could have simply telepathically bitch slapped his mind to haemorrhagic Snoozeville in half the time he took to lift the vial!

So obviously, fights are short, quick, brutal and to the point, and when there is a Rock-Paper-Scissors element, then it's over in the snap of a finger. The only things that could play a slugfest are eldritch horrors that can take a beating, dish it out and ignore no sell attacks like telepathic shut down blasts.

So, yeah… I was not prepared to face the Shingeki no Kioyin sized wall of stupidity that is DC, and it bit me on my ass. Well… at least canon is a bust from this point on, so there is that!

Author's Notes: Well… half of my favourites did not make it to the list. Dices are cruel bastards like that, but at least it's fair like that. Though I am pleased with the options.

Ah, my Bug boi didn't make into the semifinals, oh well.
Also what where the ones that you liked that didn't make it in.?

As you made more than i think everyone else combined, you needed to have the dices thrown your way as well before i could pick.
The ones that I liked, but did not made it Obsidian King and the Blood Root. The Ones that made it were the Folded Prince and the Dracaenan Knight.

I love the name you gave to my idea, I'll probably use that in a story someday, so thanks!

As for my vote, that's kinda tricky. Pretty much all of them are really cool, and none that I hate.

For my actual vote?

First choice The Dracaenan Knight.
(Epic botanical abomination Knight)

Secondary choice The Amethyst Guivre.
(Great dragon)

Compiled list of options, for ease of comparison:

The Folded Prince : Unman, Polyp
by OneGiantDunceCap

Tempted to suggest Un-man + Polyp Builds. They just work so well together.

With forehead marker, nonexistent somatic process and dermal lines.

The core concept involving noneuclidean geometry and space folding.

Basically, the human suit is a higher dimension origami that folds away the true form along the dermal lines, starting from the forehead marker.

With the main form being a radially symmetric fleshy wrinkle in space time in the vague shape of a person, that looks the exact same shape when viewed from any angle, and doesn't really move or articulate along joints, but warps and stretches as if being bent along by space.

Human form could be just any regular person with lines

Maybe something like this, with the black parts are folded in, not flat.
And wispier greenish energy highlights glowing out the holes.

Luminal Archetype:
Honestly, not good at selecting palettes, but probably something associated with eldritch energies? Thats usually portrayed as Violet or Green.

dark Violet body with Glowing green rifts?

Maybe a fleshy pink secondary color highlights, like parts of the outer fake skin cover remaining in patches after it inverts.

Pick one major and two minor.
Minor Flaws
1. Forehead Marker.
2. Non-Existent Somatic Processes.

Major Flaws
1. Dermal Lines.

Also toying with the idea of its natural weapon being a weaponized internal pocket of folded space.
Kind of like giving things a big hug, but they come out the other end looking like an inverted flesh nugget star trek transporter accident, as a consequence of being pushed into a space that was folded into a Klein bottle.
The Ivory Haemotrope : Organ, Unman
by Ramarok

I think an Organ-UnMan with the abnormal oral traits, Non-Existent Somatic Processes and the living tatoos could be cool. like a mix between some of the more fleshy tomie incarnations and these:
Edit : Adding in the colours and description of human form
Main: A pale ivory tinged with yellow, almost pus like
Trim: A reddish pink like slightly darker lungs
Weapon: a dark brownish red like almost congealed blood
Glow (for eyes and tattoos): bright crimson
human form: tall, over 2 meters but with thin limbs that grow thicker towards the appendages and an overlarge torso given that they would look otherwise undernourished, their ribcage straining against their skin, looking as though it is trying to hold more in their body than it should. on their face, the number of teeth and identifying features such as moles, hairs and proportions are oddly inconsistent, never changing enough that you wouldn't recognise them at a glance but if one were to study them closely over time the effect would be like a new identical twin every day, the same face but having been shaped by different environmental factors.
The Amethyst Guivre : Salamander, Geode, Bird
by Dirty Deeds Done, and here. Embellishments by owrtho

The Fractured Memory : Unman, Polyp, Salamander
by TJG

Form of Man: Average sapient being in an effective 2 mile radius. It acts more like a reality perception filter where the it appears to be the averaged appearance of all sapient beings within 2 miles at that time or when the last sapient being is within that radius. This normally causes a subtle change in appearance as sapients enter and exit the range, though the change can be quite dramatic or appears to even be twins for very low population areas. This also tends to make it look somewhat androgynous in many areas. The appearance makes it somewhat easier to disguise itself in a crowd from a distance, though appearance changes only has a subtle supernatural size changing effect on clothing and equipment worn and there is a perception of uncanniness in close viewers from the shifting of appearance.
Major Flaw: Variant Living Tattoos. Similar in appearance, but it is more related to the Astral Biology in that it is more of an outward expression of a cognitohazard on underlying eldritch truths that it uses to absorb abilities. It does not provide it with boosts to its magical abilities like the other major flaws. While normal mortals only find the designs to be disturbing or beautiful, those who have greater perceptions of reality or tied to concepts are under the real danger of having their existence being overwritten by this. Such conceptually-connected beings instinctively avoid ever being coming within perception range of effect of him and consider him an existential threat.
Minor Flaws: Variant Odd Distal Pigmentation and Variant Odd Hair Colour and Variant Non-Existent Somatic Processes. The shifting average appearance as described above. Strangely enough he will still be able to handle tools like a human even if the only sapients around look like talking dogs or worms.

Luminal Archetype: A reality shifting of appearance to be more like the Form Unveiled (maybe like the Burning Godzilla).

Form Unveiled: Un-man+Polyp+Salamander. Shin-Godzilla including its hyper-evolution growth. Maybe eventually looking like Godzilla Earth or the more recent anime, though possibly all forms will be less than 6 feet tall.

A lot of powerful beings would treat him like a cosmic eldritch threat; and with the above, they would not really be wrong to think so.
The Crimson Spiral : Wyrm, Polyp, Organ
by owrtho, SB posts

Living Doll is original version that was noted to be akin to full grown. Danger Noodle is toned down version.
The Living Doll :
  • Form of Man : The shape of a man is a delicate thing. To stray far give way to cries of monster, yet to come too close and yet miss the mark still leads into the uncanny where cries of evil are the norm. Better then to aim for something close, yet not so perfect, for this world has many that deviate from the human norm in some manner or another, what is one more?

A glance would suggest a pallid individual wearing some manner of leather trench coat or duster, covering all their body save for their arms, legs, and face. The ashen grey skin looking unhealthy at a distant glance, but a close look seeming more artificial, like that of a porcelain doll rather than a person. Smooth, unblemished, with a slight shine that gives the impression of harness rather than the softness of flesh. Yet it moves like flesh all the same, suggesting some manner of metagene, or perhaps running afoul magic of some nature. Their hair is a dark red, almost black, that seems a near match for the leather of their coat, or at least it would, were it not speckled with grey consistently enough to mask the resemblance. The eyes in turn are the usual white sclera with irises a dark shade of grey, yet the irises glimmer with flecks of bright purple. An unusual colouration, but not an especially strange one given the world, and certainly less remarkable than their skin. At least, it isn't strange so long as one fails to recognize each fleck of purple as a separate eye, with the dark grey simply the darkness they exude on the sclera, clustered together in a way that gives the impression of a normal human iris.

Their coat is an unusual thing, but hardly stands out next to their skin. A dark, near black leather, but it seems to gleam red when the light hits it right, providing a look that some would likely be quite interested to incorporate into their own fashion. Design wise it seems to be an almost floor length coat, double breasted with two layers, the outer one cutting off at about hip length, and a shoulder cape that curs off mid chest level. It's design manages to conceal look sturdy, while concealing most features of the body beneath. A fortunate thing, as looking inside would reveal a body not remotely human, but closer to a great coiled myriapod, for which the garment is but a small bit of flesh wrapped around the bulk of its body, and the human hands, legs, and head are but a few of many such limbs, to say nothing of the innumerable less human ones. The length dotted in scintillating purple sketching shifting patterns along the length in what only those already aware would recognize as eyes.

At times, one might see extra arms extend out from beneath the shoulder cape or outer layer of the coat, though the occurrence is rare so as to better blend in. It is also from these depths that long sweeping limbs edged in blades of what looks to be red liquid metal can extend if combat is required.

In situations where the greatcoat would not be viable, it can be replaced by a torso covering diving suit of similar material. Though the tighter fit and lack of slits for other limbs leave that option less desirable.

Should sufficient external force strike the ashen grey skin, it will prove to crack and shatter like the porcelain it resembles rather than rip, tear, or compress like the skin it usually behaves as. Beneath the cracks one may glimpse dark red flesh matching the coat, even as scintillating flecks of purple gather around the crevasses, the eyes drawn to the small space to look out.

  • Luminal Archetype :
    • Main : A glistening red, so dark as to seem almost black. It seems less a surface, and more a yawning pit of unfathomable depths, in which something may gleam red chance light falls upon it.
    • Trim : An ashen grey, seeming less of flesh, and more of enamel or bone of some nature. Even as it seems to fold and shift properly, it manages to appear as if the product of some kiln. Too smooth and without imperfection, like the porcelain of a doll, tasked to seem as flesh, rather than something actually alive.
    • Weapon : Like mercury cast in red, its fluid appearance belies its solid nature and harsh edge. It is as if the glistening red of the flesh were pulled to the surface, rather than left to linger in its distant void.
    • Glow : A scintillating purple, as if electric, yet it seems to radiate darkness rather than illumination, casting in shadows all it touches save for the purple glow, seeming all the brighter for the contrast.

  • Form Unveiled : And lo, there came a great serpent in the sky, and from it's from an uncountable number of limbs reached out, grasping beyond reckoning as it swam through the air like a bird flies in the sky. Were those limbs wings? There seemed no membrane between those digits, yet surly the flesh of each did meet that of the one adjacent, no matter how far they spread. Or did those impossible fingers simply find purchase somewhere distant beyond mortal ken, letting the being walk as it passed overhead? I did not seek answers in its presence, could not, for I feared to find myself lost had I moved. Every sweep of its limbs seemed to shift the land around it, distorting space till I was unsure if taking a step would move me inches or miles. Where this distortion went to far, I saw space itself crack, gaining weeping wounds that tore at the land they passed. It was only after wake of its passage had faded and the world began make sense again as it distributed itself rightly, that I dared leave my spot to spread warning.

A massive serpentine shape, from which sprout numerous wings. They are not paired, but rather seem to spiral down its length, each consisting of long thin digits that seem to dwindle into the distance rather than having some discernable length, yet even still they can be used to walk upon or for fine manipulation, the tips seeming to come into present focus only when needed for such. There are no membranes between the fingers of the wings, yet space seems to distort as they spread, allowing the flesh between them to reach and capture the air. With each beat, they seem not to push against the air, but space itself, causing it to distort and shift, changing relative distances between areas along the creatures length as it swims through the sky, though this effect will fade soon after its passage.

Beyond the wings, the serpent has other limbs, tendrils that seem to sprout from its surface without seeming pattern. Yet to call them simple tendrils or limbs does not do them justice. They seem less a part of the creature, and more cracks in space rendered by the passage of its wings and spreading out as roots from the affront to reality that is their source. These wounds in reality bleed a red liquid like metal that clings to their edges, yet as they pass through obstruction, it does not give way like liquid should, but rather rends it like the harshest blade.

The dark red flesh of the serpent is broken up by plates of ashen grey bone and shifting patterns of scintillating purple eyes that seem to swim freely through the void in which sits the red of its flesh. Often as it twists and moves the bony plates will crack and break, often resulting in a congregation of eyes within the cracks, rendering them darker, yet more brilliant with their presence.

The serpent lacks a proper head, for what need is there for one when eyes swim freely along its length, yet there is a maw at one end. A seven jawed thing, that seems to open as if a flower, revealing scintillating purple petals, glistening red metal stamen-like tongues and thorn like teeth as it speaks with a voice like a beautiful song, touching the mind and soul with feelings of reassurance and safety.

    • The Wyrm : The form echoing the design of a worm or serpent. It either has no limbs or hundreds upon hundreds of small appendages running across its body. (Giant Attack Tail Binkaku Kagune style)
    • The Polyp : Unlike bilaterally symmetrical organisms, the Polyp design is radial in shape, or at least, is mostly radial. (Local Non-Euclidean Region)
    • The Organ : It is a purely asymmetrical shape, or resembling a bulbous mass of tissue. Very likely has citae, tendrils or cyst like growths. (Greater Psionics)
    • With hints of The Tree : A tree like form, with branches, roots and even leaves, though may not necessarily be out of plant matter. (Distant Seeds)

  • Flaws :
    • Minor Flaws : Perhaps more than the required two, but they all seem to apply.
      • Eerie Glowing Eyes : Sclera of alien colour and a shine of the eye. At least the glow isn't noticeable during the day. Just make sure to wear good sunglasses.
Sclera is the normal white, yet the iris is a dark grey with flecks of purple. Despite looking normal in light, the flecks of purple seem to show clearly in any lighting, even darkness.
      • Odd Distal Pigmentation : Your hands and feet tend to have an oddly coloured pigment. Better keep those gloves and shoes on in public. (Cannot pick this and Distal Aberration at the same time)
Head, hands, and feet seem to be made of ashen grey porcelain.
      • Odd Hair Colour : Yes, I just dyed my hair white with a red band, and I don't care what you say, I think it looks cool. (Colours are affected by Luminal Archetype)
Hair is an even mix of Main and Trim colours, to better conceal that they match the skin and "leather" coat.
    • Mayor Flaws : Probably intended to be Major, but Mayor it is.
      • Distal Disguise : Like an inversion of Distal Aberration, only the limbs are truly disguised, the torso is clearly inhuman. Fortunately a torso is easier to hide with clothing, yet it's also less useful for direct attack. +Magic, +Transformation.
      • If the above is invalid: Living Tattoos : Your entire body is covered in artworks that seem to possess a life of their own, moving and swirling in non-Euclidean patterns and bizarre designs. While aesthetically pleasing… if somewhat disconcerting, they surely do draw a lot of unwanted attention at times. The great perk is that it boosts acts of thaumaturgy and sorcery as the tattoos often are arcane nexus designs. ++Magic.
The Danger Noodle :
  • Form of Man : The shape of a man is a delicate thing. To stray far give way to cries of monster, yet to come too close and yet miss the mark still leads into the uncanny where cries of evil are the norm. Better then to aim for something close, yet not so perfect, for this world has many that deviate from the human norm in some manner or another, what is one more?

A glance would suggest a pallid individual wearing some manner of large towel, covering all their body save for their arms, legs, and face.

Any examination more thorough than a cursory glance gives away the lie that it is a towel covering the being. It takes little knowledge to recognize it as being more akin to large wings wrapped around the body, trying to cover the form within by way of their membranes. If some force or movement should cause them to cede their task, the body revealed within resembles a man not one whit. Rather, is it a long, serpentine thing, coiled tight in a column the approximate size of a man's torso, with a headless maw sat upon the breast below the neck. A myriad of limbs, most wing like as those large ones that cover it dot its length, but so too do occasional limbs that mimic a man's similar to the ones it reveals to the world. The nature of its coiled and shifting form suggest a larger size than should fit within the space containing it, as if the wing like limbs have managed to grip some excess of space from the surroundings and pack it tightly within that it might have sufficient room.

The skin is a black that seems to glisten with red highlights, though the red seems almost to come from deep within the material rather than being present on the surface. It's broken up by occasional plates of ashen grey porcelain, matching the humanoid limbs, and scintillating purple patterns cover its length, shifting and changing as the glowing flecks move through the flesh. Their nature as innumerable eyes is clear only to those already aware. Occasionally, as the coiling beast's coils tighten upon themselves, thin cracks seem to web across the surface, not yet toughing the flesh, yet bleeding a metallic red all the the same, before they fade away as if they never were.

At times, one might see extra arms extend out from beneath the shoulder cape or outer layer of the coat, though the occurrence is rare so as to better blend in. It is also from these depths that long sweeping limbs edged in blades of what looks to be red liquid metal can extend if combat is required.

    • Glow : A scintillating purple, as if electric, yet it seems to radiate darkness rather than illumination, casting in shadows all it touches save for the purple glow, seeming all the brighter for the contrast.

  • Form Unveiled : The night was cold on the streets this time of year, so I decided to grab an old sweater I'd salvaged before starting a starting a fire to huddle around. I came up short when my attempt to retrieve the garment found it occupied, a strange flower with purple petals hissing at me from the end of a sleeve, as red stamen waved like tongues. I backed away, startled, and the creature seemed to pursue. A serpentine body, longer than twice my height emerged from the sleeve, and I know not how it fit. Long wing-like limbs extended from it's body as it emerged, Less flying, and more scrabbling at nearby surfaces to pull itself forward, like how someone trying to swim without yet knowing how grasps blindly at the water. Yet nearby is perhaps the wrong term, as they managed to reach the full breadth of the alley, and with their number, the movement was swift rather than cumbersome. It was loose from the garment for but moments, before it reached an old shoebox long discarded and placed itself within, coiling so tight it fit, despite its prodigious length, and leaving only the foot so with the mouth extended above to hiss at me, a surprisingly melodic and reassuring noise, despite the clear upset for being disturbed. Though it was the impetuously regal glare at its surroundings that let me relax and go about putting on my shirt and lighting a flame the nearby trashcan, present for that purpose. Twas no hazardous beast, despite what strange appearance it might bear. It's behaviour marked it clearly as a cat. "Here kitty," I called once the fire had taken, "there's room enough round this fire for all seeking warmth on a cold night like this, even a strange cat like yourself." It seemed to understand me then, for its head jerked in what could only be a nod, before those long wings again reached out and dragged the box it had settled in closer to the fire.

A serpentine shape nearly 5 metres long, and a little wider than an adult's arm, from which sprout numerous wings. They are not paired, but rather seem to spiral down its length, each consisting of long thin digits of indeterminate length, that seem longer or shorter as needed, yet always the same size. There is a membrane between the fingers of most of the wings, though it rarely reaches their full length, and despite its presence, they seem ill suited for flight, or perhaps the creature has just not yet learned to use them properly. As they sweep through the air, they prove capable of scooping up chunks of space, bringing areas outside the missing chunk closer together, and allowing the creature to drag it into smaller areas to better fit within them itself, though this effect will fade soon after its passage.

Fortunately, the wake of distorted space left by the wings is fairly minor, and these cracks are rarely formed, and even then are thin, minor things that quickly heal.

The dark red flesh of the serpent is broken up by plates of ashen grey bone and shifting patterns of scintillating purple eyes that seem to swim freely through the void in which sits the red of its flesh. Often as it twists and moves the bony plates will crack and break, often resulting in a congregation of eyes within the cracks, rendering them darker, yet more brilliant with their presence.

by Crab0Stab0 and here

View: http://imgur.com/a/OTBXYP2
Tree+organ+man or Organ+man+tree whichever is fine with me. Color wise I'm all good with what the picture has.

Human form -

View: http://imgur.com/a/DYW4DL7
He has rusty red hair, with bright green eyes

Flaws
Odd Distal Pigment- his hands and feet look like there staind in a dried blood color

Non-existent somatic processes

Dermal lines- The musels throughout his body look more like the twisting roots of a tree add with non-existent somatic processes he does a pretty good impression of a wooden man.
The Stained Band : Wyrm, Geode
by Lost Centurion and here

Form of Man:

His hair should be a bit more unkempt or curly. The tattoos will shift and form into beings from the unknown, languages unknown to even the gods, and scenes from history not told or yet to be told.

Luminal Archetype:

Main: Russian Violet
Trim: Ink Black or Royal Red
Weapon: Rusty Red
Glow: Magenta

Form: The Whyrm + Geode. I just want to see how that style works

Minor Flaws: Non-Existent Somatic Processes.

Eerie Glowing Eyes : Sclera of alien colour and a shine of the eye. At least the glow isn't noticeable during the day. Just make sure to wear good sunglasses.
Sclera is the normal white, yet the iris is a dark grey with flecks of purple. Despite looking normal in light, the flecks of purple seem to show clearly in any lighting, even darkness.

Major Flaw: Living Tattoos

Figured this might be helpful.

4. The Ivory Haemotrope.
I like this one the best, invoking some elements of eldritch and the consequences of reaching too far. MC shouldn't be restricted to looking like a handsome, human. His origin will always be an eldritch abomination.

Haaah. Personally, I'm not keen on the voting thing at all, and none of the ideas really perk my fancy.
I was definitely hoping for some ideas that were vaguely Terraria-themed, like an eerie fae-like form based around the Hallow, or something something Eyes considering the importance that eyes of all kinds have in the game. Ah well.

5. The Amethyst Guivre.

I like the salamander-avian by way of rocks/crystals vibe a lot.

So, figured it might be worth noting for people who may not have noticed, but the voting is being handled via a poll at the top of the thread.

something something Eyes considering the importance that eyes of all kinds have in the game.
Does the Crimson Spiral being covered in eyes not qualify for that? Or is it that the eyes don't look enough like traditional eyes?

I admit i had thought about it first... But then i realized that it may be awkward when there is X monster and then there is a guy that can turn into said monster.... Or has a vague aesthetical resemblance.

Still Going with the crimson spiral as i am delighted over fancyful mimics styles of disguise and a interesting method of locomotion and the 2 stories how it could be seen and it harkens back to our earlier forms instead of throwing it too the side completely.
Also no idea what the knights powers is due to the maker being unsure what group it belongs into and not caring, also just only really using pictures one of them naruto fanart

Chapter 1 Part 6
Chapter 1

Part 6

TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

And then Superboy leapt for the kill.

Straight towards the biggest target.

In the time it took Robin to blink, Superboy had leapt and gone after the nearest G-Troll and struck it with the strongest hit he could. The creature was thrown back several steps, crashing against the wall behind.

Immediately the heroes and genetically engineered creatures jumped to action to stop the insane clone of Superman.

Dubbilex and the G-Gnomes reacted first, invoking their psychic powers to the fore to subdue the clone. But the moment their minds connected, a screaming cacophony inside Superboy's mind tore out and fell into the network.

It was pain. A psychological feedback loop that self-perpetuated via stimulating the pain centres of the half Kryptonian while simultaneously sending his limbic system analogue into overdrive, burning his brain with unfettered anger and hatred.

A volatile and dangerous formula of psychological energies that set all that it touched into hateful pain. It was a tool to make those not psychic resist the psychic, via poisoning their own mind with pain.

A pain that was immediately projected back into the network and caused every genomorph to flinch back in pain from the mental anguish.

A flinch that was exploited by the enraged clone and scientist.

Desmond had long disappeared when the attention had turned to Superboy, and now everyone present had to deal with the man's hidden card.

Superboy launched himself at the next group of genomorphs, but quickly Aqualad took the chance and intercepted the hit with a shield of solidified water. It managed to block the hit successfully, but the clone was not done. Far from it.

And neither was the Atlantian.

Superboy pulled back for a second punch, but Kaldur's second water bearer had already shifted into a heavy mace, his superior training providing him the necessary skill to evade the strike and counter with his own, sending the part Kryptonian flying off.

But superboy was harder to injure than most, so it did not take long for the clone to get up and come at it again.

"What the heck Superboy?!" Shouted Kid Flash as he made a quick run and intercept the clone's trajectory with a punch of his own. But he had misjudged the speed at which an enraged Kryptonian worked and Wally felt something grasp his arm and without warning sent him flying against a wall with a painful crash.

The furious Kryptonian saw the prone form of the speedster for an instant, and immediately decided upon a target. And he leapt, crossing the distance between the two in the blink of an eye. A sight that drew Kid Flash's friends into horrified shock as they were too far to save him.

"NOOO!" They could not, they would not be able to save him. Wally was going to… then suddenly Superboy flew up, a long distance away from ever touching Kid Flash.

Both Aqualad and Robin looked on in confusion when the now floating clone of superman was flying a few feet off the ground, but he still was struggling and shouting animalistic roars of fury and hatred.

"What… What happened?" Asked Robin and they received their answer soon enough, from Guardian.

"Telekinesis." Said the man, standing right beside Dubbilex whose hand was outstretched towards Superboy and his horns shining with red light. Though curiously he was massaging his head with his free hand.

Dubbilex turned to the young heroes as he held the still struggling, rabid superboy with his telekine grip. -Superboy's mind has been affected by a very powerful and horrifying mental command. You could not have reasoned with him during this time.- They blinked, and relaxed somewhat knowing that the threat had passes.

They were still angry that in that short moment of distraction, the lead scientist, Desmond, had escaped. But what truly upset them was how he had achieved it, by turning Superboy homicidal and insane with a single verbal command.

That… that was messed up in all the wrong ways.

Dubbilex's horns grew brighter and so did the horns of all the other psychic genomorphs of the hive present. The Kryptonian clone's eyes changed ever so slightly, from the mad look he had instants before to a sudden sense of shock, even his violent thrashing and shouting had subsided for an instant, something that the genomorph goblin saw, and so he opened his arms wide, addressing all of his psychic brethren. - Now together brothers. Let us end our brother's pain and set his mind free from this accursed mental command.- And with a pulse of red light there was a flinch from the clone's thrashing, and then his eyes closed, body subsiding into a peaceful sleep. A complete contrast to his previous state.

As Dubbilex slowly floated him down, Guardian stepped over and caught the sleeping youth in his arms. Kaldur looked at the genomorph. "Will he be alright?"

A nod. "He will be, after he has time to recover." Dubbilex answered. "He may wake up in a few minutes."

Aqualad nodded in understanding. "Good." Kaldur guessed that everything would be well from now on. But there was one thing that was missing. "And Desmond?"

Dubbilex frowned. "Gone. The geno-"

But then nothing was well, when a roar from beneath the ground reverberated across the entire facility. All heads turned down with a wide mixture of emotions. "What was that?" Asked Kid Flash.

Suddenly, the eyes of the genomorphs present widened like saucers, causing a massive shift in the atmosphere in the chamber. Something bad was happening and the genetically engineered creatures were aware of what it was. And so, the voice of the genomorph hive spoke, and all the heroes present were thrown into shock. –We must leave now! Desmond had released the other failed Superman clones! All are extremely hostile.-

All eyes turned to the genomorph in shock. "Other clones? How many?" Asked Guardian.

The answer was as grim as the tone it was delivered in. -Thirty seven.-

"Thirty seven?!" Kid Flash was aghast.

-And some of them possess more of Superman's powers. And they are tunnelling their way up.- They did not speak any more, for everyone knew what that meant. Immediately all the genomorphs and humans present started running for the nearest gate to the surface, doing the best to get a great a distance from the underground rampant clones.

But none were open. The gate they were previously was still there, closed. Guardian tried his access keys, but none worked. Not even Dubbilex's own override commands had any effect. "Damn!" Guardian hissed. "Desmond must have sealed the entire facility."

"How long until you can crack it?" Asked Kaldur, looking at his friend once again working on the hacking computer on his wrist.

"Too long." Replied Robin, his fingers pressing more and more keys on his holo screen at a speed that the others could barely follow.

Another crack and the sounds of rocks crumbing down, followed by another deep roar from beneath. God, how loud must those things be shouting to be heard through multiple concrete floors?

Suddenly, the lights began to flicker on and off for a moment, then remained on as a small quake shook the complex.

It was then that the heroes truly realized in how much shit they were when they were trapped inside a complex with thirty seven aggressive clones of superman. Doomed does not quite encapsulate how utterly screwed up they all were.

Thinking rapidly and perhaps finding an alternative to their immediate issue, Dubbilex looked at two Trolls and the giant creatures immediately set to action. Robin stepped aside when he saw the giant lumbering creatures approach the metal doors to the first floor.

One moment later two pairs of giant, hands began to smash against the metal doors, causing a set of indentations big enough to be noticed on the surface. Again they smashed and the indentations became bents on the metal.

They were going to smash their way though and it would be possible to make their escape.

When another quake shook the facility. This one feeling much, much closer.

Then they knew that time was not on their side. And their fears were proven right when a loud crack occurred on the ground. Then another. And another.

It was then when the metal gate fell that the concrete shattered into a cloud of debris. Both openings brought into being at the same moment in time, and both offering opposing destinies.

From the dust and clutter a misshapen figure emerged. An unclothed mutant that only resembled human on the most blurred of shadows. Its right arm was a massive hyperplasic mass of muscle and pale veins, while its left was a shrivelled atrophied thing, no bigger than a person's hand, and hanging limply at its side. Its body was a mismatch of genetic aberrations. No gender to be determined.

A face so profoundly hideous that only a mistake since inception could have made. Its right eye shone brightly with the beautiful sky blue that only the eyes of the earth's sole Kryptonian had. But that was the extent of any beauty that it had. And on such a face, it only drew a more sickening reaction. Its left eye was massive, blood red and swollen, almost as if on the verge of exploding from the skull it was lodged in. Its mouth was too big, and its jaws badly fused so that it would never be able to close its lips and cease the line of drool that constantly kept dripping down. Its hair a mismatch of black and white.

A mistake of biology.

An aberration of natural law. One that was only alive because of the unseen supernatural flesh that held it together and away from the verge of biological collapse.

And then it attacked when its red eye grew as bright as the light of a blood red sun.

The beam fired and hit the largest genomorph square on the chest, carving a bloody, cauterized path through the creature's chest.

The troll screamed in pain, but the assault on it would quickly end when another of its brethren stepped forth and clubbed the genetic aberration with its immense fist, sending it flying into a nearby wall.

The rest of the genomorphs took the opportunity and pounced on the biological mistake. Elves, hands with claws as sharp as a dagger, leaped forth, ready to drive their blades into the mistake's flesh.

Not one strike managed to scratch the skin.

But the mistake's attacks were not as useless as the genomorphs'. Because in one swipe of its enormous fist, it sent three elves flying and shot its eye laser into the head of another, tearing a hole through the creature's head and killing it on the spot.

It was with the first drop of blood that was spilled that there was a shift in the genomorph hive.

Dubbilex turned to the heroes as the battle was joined by more Trolls. -We need to contact the League!-

"Already doing it!" Replied Robin. And then in an excited voice, "Done!" Then his face turned grim and determined. He drew a batarang and his staff. "Now, let's go!"

"What?" Guardian asked, incredulous.

"We are heroes. We must fight, or else more genomorphs will die."

"It's suicide!" He shouted, and grabbed Robin, basically tossing the smaller clone on his back to the kid. "And you do not have any powers!" He said, with a voice that brokered absolutely no argument. "Get Superboy to the surface."

Robin was about to protest, but Aqualad spoke before he could.

"You have no superpowers, so one mistake will cost you your life." He stressed that last part and Robin's eyes widened in surprise. But then the Atlantian placed a hand on the younger's shoulder. "This battle is not for you, but you can save one life now and alert the League when they arrive."

Robin was left without words, he did not know what to say to Kaldur after that. He still wanted to protest, but the agony filled scream of another troll forced his decision. "Fine." He said, unhappy with the choice, but accepting it nonetheless.

And with that, Robin ran after the fleeing Genomorphs to the surface, leaving behind those that could be better equipped to handle the tough battle to come. But that did not stop him from looking back just in time to see another figure emerge from the hole the aberration had made.

Something just as hideous as what had just come before.

"Oh no." He whispered, and when he did, he saw the thing's eyes turn to him. It snarled and soared his way like a speeding bullet, blood in its eyes.

Robin's panic rose for an instant when he saw what was coming his way, but before any action could be done or taken, the mutated clone made a sharp turn to the side and if Robin was not any wiser, the look of surprise in its face meant that it had not planned for that. And it was true when the aberration crashed head first into the nearest wall.

-Go!- The voice of Dubbilex roared in Robin's mind and this time the boy wonder ran without fail.

Once the Robin had escaped did Dubbilex truly focus on the battle around him. There were two of those failed Superman Clones, but he could sense more heading their way.

Brute force would not halt them. They have proven more than equals to Superboy's strength. And unlike the boy, some of them had more powers than simply greater strength and invulnerability.

So the only way to defeat them was to fight them in the things they lacked.

The mutant, whom Dubbilex had saved Robin from, got up again and turned its hateful glare upon the genomorph goblin. Its eyes began to glow. But Dubbilex's horns were faster in their shine.

A wave of psychic pain struck at the mutant and caused it to break its laser attack and scream as its mind was set ablaze with mental energies. Dubbilex frowned deeper. He had aimed for complete incapacitation, but the mind of the creature he was facing was different in a way he simply lacked experience in. It would require more punishment to take down.

So be it.

He lifted a hand and pushed it against the wall again. A telepathic web pulse later and the giant fist of a G-Troll came barrelling in against the abomination, slamming it deep into the wall. –Again brother!- He instructed and the troll struck once again. And then the opening he was searching for came and Dubbilex attacked once again with his telepathy, this time with a mental barrage meant to kill.

The aberration though was hardy, even in its basal mind. So the blow that could have caused fatal cerebral haemorrhage on a person, it merely caused the creature to submit to a deep coma.

It will suffice.

Dubbilex turned to the still active mutant. This one was definitely stronger, both in its primal savagery and in its physiology, being much closer in strength to the original Kryptonian. Dubbilex focused and used his mental might to stun the creature to provide a moment of weakness that could be exploited by the heroes and genomorphs.

One well used.

Kid Flash slammed the thing's head with a metal bar twice before it could even lift its overgrown arm. But by the time it had, the one known as Guardian had run around it and grabbed it by its smaller limb and threw the thing towards Aqualad whom was waiting with his water bearers alit with magic. And as the creature came, he struck, the water suspended by them in the shape of a sharp edged mace, crackling with electricity, right into the thing's face.

There was a crack and a pop. Its overgrown eye exploding in a shower of blood colouring the water of the arcane weapon in ruby red.

The creature's shrieks of pain resonated everywhere like the roar of thunder, the strength of its Kryptonian physiology carrying over into its lungs.

But it was far from knocked out, so Dubbilex took the chance and reached into its mind to shut down the creature. Only for him to have to reorientate his focus away and towards an emerging head of another clone peeking through the hole its predecessor had made.

He lashed out against it before it could fully emerge from the hole and fire a laser attack at the genomorphs. But that instant cost him.

The mutant that had its eye torn open leaped towards the G-Goblin and he was not fast enough to evade it. He was going to die there, if it hadn't been for Guardian throwing Dubbilex out of the way and receiving the blow himself.

Guardian flew from the blow of the Kryptonian clone against a wall, slamming against the metal panels as his helmet crashed against the wall with a loud bang. A sound accompanied by the crack of broken bones and much worse.

The young heroes heard it as much as felt it when the man had collapsed into a heap, and so did Dubbilex, for the Guardian's mind had silenced abruptly after the hit.

But the creature responsible was yet to be defeated and while it had been wounded and made to lose one of its greatest weapons, the fight was far from over. But the worst was yet to come as another mutant emerged from the hole, screaming and raging.

And it flew towards Aqualad.

Dubbilex used his psychic powers to force the creature's mind to succumb to paralyzing pain, but it was not as effective as he wished. It stunned it with pain, allowing Aqualad to strike at its head with his lightning abilities, and get away. An action that was helped by Kid Flash whisking away the Atlantian before the creature could recover. Allowing one of the few remaining G-Trolls to slam its fist into the creature and launch it flying into a distant wall.

But more came.

So much more.

Dubbilex then was forced to focus on his old rival, staring into the bleeding eye of the previous mutant and fired another mental barrage, a much more desperate and painful one.

The creature roared and spazmened for a moment, but it recovered and was about to strike again. So Dubbilex attacked again. And again and again, over and over even as dark blood began to pool out of his nasal cavity.

He did not care. He needed to defeat this thing now so that he could help the others.

And then one final strike and the mutant clone fell back, its mind shredded by mental lacerations. But the other side did not come out unscathed, but he could not focus on that.

There was a battle to continue.

But at the sight of the four other clones emerging, he knew that he would not be able to win.

Dubbilex could not deal with these many.

His mind straining to keep them as confused as he could. Stopping a laser lance from the eyes whenever he could. Turning an otherwise fatal blow into something that could incapacitate.

But it was too much. And it soon came the time when he felt the eyes of a mutant on him, about to unleash a beam of deadly energy. Dubbilex reached out, but too late. The mental attack he unleashed came at the same time the laser emerged from the thing's eye socket, curving the beam away. But not enough.

It missed his head. But stuck his left thigh. And split it in two.

Dubbilex barely realized what had happened by the time he was falling to the floor.

But his roar of agony eventually spilled from his throat as he clutched at his bleeding stump. But his awareness of the battle he was did not abate. The psychic transmissions of the rest of the genomorph hive kept flowing through his mind and he could now see how everything had gone down.

Without his aid, the rest of the hive was beginning to lose ground and members. He could feel it, the deaths of his brothers. Their last moments, so pain filled, becoming burned into his psyche forevermore.

He could not cry, he was incapable of it on a physiological level. But grief he could. He could, for the last moments he had left for the little it was worth as he looked at the hovering form of a mutant coming towards him, intent to ending the psychic genomorph.

But Dubbilex would not go down like that. Not without at least giving one final fight to his name. He reached out with his hand the moment the mutant's eyes began to light up.

But instead of Dubbilex being slain by laser or the mutant being driven into another wave of mental pain, an energetic beam of energy impacted the mutant and sent if off flying into the distance.

Shocked and no less confused, the genomorph turned to see a man hovering not too far away. His skin made of metal and with arms and feet of red, and on his chest a symbol he was familiar with.

Captain Atom.

That meant that…

And to his confirmation he saw them arrive as saviours.

Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and more.

The League had arrived, and to his comfort, he could hear the Hive's words grow less and less fearful, and more hopeful.

Dubbilex smiled. Maybe it was the strain this battle had made on his body, or mind. Maybe it was that he was bleeding out, but it did not matter now. Everything would be alright.

The last thing he saw before his vision faded into darkness was the panicked look of Robin running towards him.

TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

End

AN: I think it was a good idea to let the part end at this point. Next part will be the League dealing with the aftermath of the Cadmus.

I hope you liked Dubbilex, he got his moment to shine and I hoped I made him good. I kind of felt proud of this one. Also, if you haven't noticed, yes, I just took off a few layers of plot armour for our heroes.

The incident at Cadmus was way too easy for them and with something on such a scale, it could have either gone really bad for them or for Cadmus, or both. Here, it was bad for everyone.

I also got past the Barricade Chapter, which means that writers block can take a hike for this story.
