hmmmmmm
Does anyone know the chapters shown at the end? I only recognised Blood Angels.
AGREED the guy went out of his way to cut out warp crap from this
My admiration for him is predicated on all of this not being some idiotic plan by the inquisition to try and use or weaponize something they barely understand, a horrifyingly common occurrence among the organization.Crossposting my 2 cents on the Inquisitorial psyker from Reddit:
Can I say how much I adore the competence of the Inquisitorial psyker? He managed to get in, eavesdrop on the Warp spheres' psychic comms, and notified the Retributor Command to withdraw their squad ASAP. He was found out and hit with a possession, but his last dying act was to kill/banish the Warp sphere-creature holding the Astarte squad captive and teleport the Astartes away to (relative) safety and intact.
(The inky back mist that suddenly banished the Warp sphere-creature was the psyker's; you can tell, because the same inky black mists was drifting off his body during his psychic eavesdropping.)
Shame he got possessed and promptly ate an Astarte fist of ceramite and several bolter rounds, but he sure went out with a bang. Respect. You did your duty to the God-Emperor unto the very end.
This sphere thing is actually interesting. And not just edgy crap.AGREED the guy went out of his way to cut out warp crap from this

yeah an umbra sounds pretty damn dead on by description, but they astartes leader also seems to have a subdued oneMy money would be on the Umbra. The idea of a surviving Old One is pretty nice, and could have interesting implications on the mausoleum canyon at the end.
And this thing on a beaky-helmeted spess mehrine's helmet from Ep 5:
The symbol on the high-ranking Astartes' helmet could just be a roman numeral representing "First Company Veteran" or something, but the symbol on that Astarte's hand along with the Imperium of Man insignia looks a lot like the Inquisition rosette.
No no, you have a point. It is neither C'tan, Necrons nor Chaos. It's pretty clear what the origin this thing is.
It's Orkish.
Oh I don't think he was an Inquisitor. It must have been some random spyker or techpriest. I THINK he said, "Your men are in danger."
The fact that he works for the Inquisition does not necessarily mean that he is an Inquisitor.
I dunno, Inquisitors do stupid and suicidal things all the time, especially if they're Radicals. This fellow might have thought that they just took all the necessary precautions to deal with a big whispery ball. I mean, look at all the prayer paper in the hall and all the chains in the room! Seems legit to me.What I meant is more along the lines of "this person may have worked as with an Inquisitor as their retinue." Not to say this isn't an Inquisitor, it could be, but I just don't think an Inquisitor would plug themselves to an eldritch orb of death unless they're really damn sure they would survive.
