That won´t last for long, the West is in desperate need of a powerful buffer state that can limit the influence of the USSR and communism in Europe... And for that, it is essential to have a powerful military.
And that state cannot be Poland because it is already under soviet control, and even if Zhukov is a decent man, I really doubt that he is going give away Poland.
