Arise o Youth, Destiny is Yours (No SV, Welcome to the MCU)

What a bad roll on our radio pick up... and what a concerningly good roll we got on the explosive... we're at lvl 3 Bomb Making... that is well certainly a way to go about things, but its a messy one. If we want to maintain as a properly heroic figure explosives are probably not something we want to rely on, though if we end up going more grey or even Punisher flavorings it has its uses.
Just telling you.

Johan is someone who is... very scary.
I think radio tech is an interesting thing to build towards, and with our mistake this time, maybe we'll figure out a way past it, proper learning.
To do what with it I ask?
Jesus Christ. Wow, just wow.
You know, Spindel's entire mission was to get Rommel on side.

Hydra trying to recruit him was the thing that pushed him back to the Democrats.

The problem is, with the Allies wishing for unconditional surrender, they have to make a choice.

Keep fighting until they are ground to dust...

Or save Germany's soul.
I would like to point out that we can also make non-lethal explosives.
Correct.
Something important is that non-lethal should be named "less than lethal" instead
This is comic book land, we can make non lethal bombs.
Hydra is planning a Coup, and we are planning to kill Hitler. Aren't we making things easier for Hydra?
Hydra wishes only to take over Germany, not kill Hitler.

Operation Valkyrie is taking over Germany and Kill Hitler.

You can see where this is going.
Radio because it is useful.
Eh, that depends on the situation.
And the hobby? We and the old man need something that helps us take away our minds from everything.
I don't think war gaming is going to help dear old Oster right now. considering his... intuition and stuff.

Sure, but German Generals love their wargames. Especially the old kind. And they had the best models. It might help him to get a bit of peace of mind, reminding him of his better days as a cadet when he still had eyes. It is also something that will keep his mind sharp. Also, it is a hobby I would say fits our young hero. After all, he grows up in the house of a former General, sounded by military personal that visits.

We in turn make some very good war games post war.

That will be fun.

INB4 we form the German version of SHIELD!

MC: Well, I'm the inventor of serval extremely successful wargames. Such as Warsword Fantasy and Warsword 30K.
Hawkeye: He's right, you know. They are great.
Fury: Dad was a huge fan of the games when he was part of the Occupation Force. They got so good the US Army adopted it as their main War Games for actual combat planning until 91.

Well since we ended up with super learning, we're likely to move towards a more technology based character (though I do note we can also pick up fighting styles and more physical talents also) Radio is an important technology of the time period so its useful regardless of anything else. But if we view our current skills and knowledges as things that build and branch, likely this will develop into more communication tech, maybe it will develop into Electromagnetic Wave tech, sound based tech perhaps, probably other tenuous connections exist but radios feel like something quite unique for a hero to have a focus in, and its time period appropriate.

I would like to point out that we can also make non-lethal explosives.

Proof:

Oh I noticed, its still a messy way to do combat, not very exacting, hostages can also get hurt and non-lethal bombs (while obviously we're talking comic-book logic) will still sometimes do damage to objects and people we don't want in the blast. And mostly that is why I'm warry of an explosive's expert hero, just very messy as a weapon of choice. Effective? Likely, but messy.

Sonic guns...might help us be less then lethal.

Well we aren't exactly... doing good things and rescuing hostages. We're committing political assassination to save the German State.

We're legitimately a child right now, and we've only helped with plan that is already in motion against an individual that hates us purely because we were born into being taught a different religion. They can go boom. I'm thinking about down the line when we're more actively doing "hero" stuff, though again not sure what type of hero we'll be going towards, and its quite likely we're going to go for not the goodiest of goodie heroes, given well everything around us and who our enemies are likely going to continue to be.

I would say fuck the Nazis, but we're already working on that so that would be repeating ourselves.

I only hope that the Plotters are at least pragmatic enough to end the Holocaust, and try to free those prisoners.

And make Speer get the fucking noose, the slaving Basterd.

And maybe they might surrender, or keep on fighting to the end.

Well, we have time to grow up, get good.

Maybe fight for Isreal, or Germany... and other stuff.

Well, having our current skills I think we would have to go for an approach of:
take advantage of our power to easily learn to fight, aim and other things of classic fighting.

On the other hand, on the technological side, we could be interested for now to continue improving our ability with the pumps (it is better to have them of the best possible quality than to need them and not have them) and also have another specialization (as everyone seems to be interested in radio, possibly it is something related to sound or electromagnetic waves).

also if in the future it is possible to create an exo-suit / something that improves our physical abilities or our own version of the super solado serum (not necessarily as effective).

As for worrying that it's too lethal ... well, how do I tell you ...
We are currently a Jew in a Nazi Germany (almost everyone wants to kill us), we are part of a group that wants to kill Hitler and that in the future will be at odds with Hydra ...
or true, also the rest of the countries may be indifferent or want to kill us (in the future)

so ... do not worry, when we have to worry about not killing / hurting we will be so strong and with so much technology that it will not matter and those who can beat us ... well they will be strong enough to have to use what stronger than we have

So, with all that said, he just said that once we get the radio skills I would also like to start trying to improve our bomb skills (our current strong, very strong)

You're thinking very, very forward in time

We are currently 8 years old and until we are a "hero" who has to worry about not hurting people ... well, there are at least 15 years left (if in 15 years it is possible to defeat the Nazis and Hydra) and in case of that for some reason we leave Germany ... well there is still a long way to go for the rise of villains and heroes

The possibility of you making a functioning exosuit is imposible.

THe Tech of 1940 just will not cut it in terms of ability.

We are also not Tony Stark. Nor Howard.

To put it bluntly, our MC believes in the goodness of hummanity.

But that does not mean he is naive as to think that he cannot kill anyone in war.

THe rise of the villains in Germany will be more like the rise of the Neo Nazi's

They will be very... very difficult to root out.

For neo-Nazis to rise, they must have first been overthrown ... something that did not happen.
so my arguments are still valid

ps: as for the exo-suit ... well, I think you thought I was saying it in the short term.
also personally I prefer to create our version of the serum (and before you say anything, the United States managed some years later to create a very imperfect version of the super-soldier serum)

also if tony stark managed to create his first armor with stone age technology we can also create something of the same level with better technology and more time .. no matter how unintelligent we are compared to tony or Howard.

edit: we are still geniuses yes, but geniuses IRL level not comics level ...

- Guided missile aircraft
- Guided bombs
- TV-controlled tanks
- Hovercraft.
- Homing to the sound of missiles and torpedoes
- Radar tracking of metal projectiles
- Adhesive-woven bulletproof armor
- Railgun
- Electronic computing machine
- Antibiotics
- Non-hormonal steroids
- AMPHETAMINE and its dozens of derivatives.
- Mechanized welding systems
- Automatic hydraulic machine limbs
- Pendulum gravitational energy storage

All this is a classic of the 40s and I obviously forgot something. From Leskov's work in the USSR in the 30s to create more than a dozen hovercraft in Leningrad to American developments of autopiloted bomb planes in the second half of World War II. And I didn't take such well-known things as Night Vision Devices or V-2. I also did not take chemical weapons, because it, well, have their own problems when used, as well as biological weapons like Operation Vegetarian. Some of this, like a magnetic accelerator, did not leave the laboratories, but the fact itself is important to me.

Okay, Hydra hasn't discovered you, or the plot just yet.

I need 1 more!

Well Cap is certainly being busy.

And Logan is in the Howling Commando's!

A Moment of Despair
A Moment of Despair:

-[X]Learn a New Skill: You want to learn something useful
--[X]Radio Technology: Communication has always been key, while not able to fight maybe learning about such technology will give you something to do to keep people informed and safe.

Rolled: D100 => 50

You looked at the radio and thought for a few moments. There were certain… ideas that formed through your head as you looked at a few wooden toys that were on the floor, and some metal figurines that could be moved…

You then thought of a few things that a radio could be used for.

You then realized that toy could be controlled with remote control. Like a car, or a boat. You had seen them done before in the dawn of radio waves, but…

What about a detonator. Not using a timer, but a radio wave from a button or switch.

Of course, there was the problem of being… stopped by its design or range. But-

No… don't overthink it. You could do so much with that.

Reward: Your Radio Skill is now 2/5: You are an expert in radio technology, and being able to repair or build a radio out of nothing but scraps, and being able to broadcast with the minimal signal. Your transmissions are invisible to all but the most dedicated operator and infiltrator.

You can now invent things.

-[X]Wir Sind Verloren: You feel the end is near. You need to prepare. Start gathering supplies. And help those who need help the most.

Rolled:D100 => 5
Discovery Roll:D100 => 89

July 1st, 1944

Johan smiled as you realized that it was a trap. "Hello, Jude." He smiled as he lifted you up by the neck. "I was expecting far more subtlety from you, my dear boy. The kind that would not reveal yourself."

You froze. Were you careless? No, you were being extremely careful. You had covered your tracks. You had made sure you were not found. You choked and made a gurgling sound as Johan laughed with his fellows. They were like him.

Something dark in their souls tainted them.

And then you lost consciousness.
---------------------------------------------------------

You awoke on a train, with people on it.

Hundreds of people, scared and terrified.

Some spoke Hebrew, speaking the language of your people, while others just sat, in shock or horror.

It was a cattle car, and you were the cattle.

You examined the car and realized that you were not moving, not yet. There was still light from a city or a train yard. So you had not reached your final destination, wherever it was.

What do you do?:

[]Cry For Help: you are terrified of what is going to happen. You are going to cry out for the old man. He can save you. He saved you before.

[]Pray to God: You need to hope… you need to gather the courage that only God can Provide.

[]Look out the Window: You need to get your bearings. Where are you? Where were you going in the direction of the tracks?

[]Tap the Wood: The Wood… it's rotten? That means it can be forced loose! This wasn't a fortress… this was rotten wood!

AN: Shorter then expected.

Also, I'm not going to kill you.

Yet.

The war must be going bad if the cattle cars for the Horrors are in disrepair.

44th year, there are two active offensives against Germany in France and on the northern part of the Eastern Front. Railway transportation is overstretched, on June 21, 1944, Allied aircraft destroyed more than 15% of housing in the city with massive fires. If we are not categorically far away in the east, then "another refugee from Berlin in which a house burned down" will not be so strange. Suspicious in the area where the escape was, but not strange.

The main problem will be
- Jump out of the train
- The expected, albeit not very strong, persecution
- To get as far away as possible in an unexpected direction of pursuit for the enemy. For example, to the east.
- Legitimization of past
- Finding people who could confirm our story

Eh, it was necessary to study the falsification of documents, it would obviously help us. How in general can we be distinguished from an ordinary guy of this age? With our ability to know German very well, can we impersonate a schoolboy? Fatness is unusual if we were actively hiding clearly in our favor. Long (relatively) hair too. Good clothes always help things, but in Germany on the 44th even rags are the norm, the economy is collapsing.

They still don't believe that we should improve our bomb skills until we can create them with little or no resources.

not yet.

Can I have 2 d100 rolls please?
not yet what?
