So how old is Negi at this time?

As in, before the Timeline School started?

A Vampire is still in school?

Hope he does not get involved in Time Travel Shenanigans. Or gets followed by the Nerima Crew.

Now I can finally get more hints about where the Mage Association is from, as I can't name an anime it could be from
Mahou Sensei Negima. it's been mentioned a few times. The school from Negima is its HQ
Hope he does not get involved in Time Travel Shenanigans. Or gets followed by the Nerima Crew.
I mean, given how a certain training arc shakes out in UQHolder, there's a whole lot of 'outside of time' shenanigans to worry about.

Omake: A Cat Goddess and a Dragon Teen Talk

A variation of Disruptive Wave, Majustis, the Great Leveler, the Ultimate Eraser is a spell exclusive to Dragon Quest VII that should only be able used by the Hero, however Alchemist's System had let them ignore restrictions like that. A shame he wasn't currently around, so besides missing them very much, they could not do stuff like that anymore. They were left with whatever stuff they had Mastered before Alchemist was "Vanished" by a very annoying and powerful Goddess, as both Lucifer and then the pink Goddess that showed up from nowhere had explained.

Jinx had decided to Master the spell, and now this… Goddess? Was asking her to cast it on her.

"Go on Mew." The goddess Mew said and the former metahuman turned dragon obliged.

She hit her with the spell.

Nothing happened, the pink barrier around the floating pink feline was still there.

"How?" Jynx asked.

"Mew. Simply put it is an anti-magic spell, I am a Psychic Pokemon, my Barrier is Psychic energy. Now, do you understand why I made you do this Mew?"

"No matter how powerful a technique, a spell or whatever it is, it will be never be invincible, there are always exemptions to the rules or things it won't work on. Alchemist taught me this, so what you are saying is… we don't know anything that could work against that goddess?"

"Well Mew, to simplify it as much as I can, all of Alchemist powers and abilities come from the System he had, if someone more powerful that the Goddess that granted Alchemist the System shows up… there was nothing he could do. Sure he may have killed Gods, and very powerful Demons and so on… but he was operating in a complete different power scale that the bitch that killed him and made him reborn in that… patchwork universe. Mew, my father Arceus is at that level of power or maybe stronger? No one really knows how powerful he really is because like the Buddha, he exists outside reality, he is so powerful that if he acts directly he risks damaging or destroying universes. Me? I am as powerful as it is possible to be while still existing inside universes. My trick is that I have many bodies, there is many Mews around, so while my power using those extra bodies is limited, I don't break universes by accident. Now, while I could beat that bitch Avatar, that's not possible inside that bitch own universe, and that is just an Avatar, not the real deal. And unlike my father, she probably won't be as limited if her Avatar is damaged or destroyed. Also that bitch has two sisters, so if they intervene I will be in trouble. So.. what do you want to do Mew?"

"I want Alchemist back, is there nothing you can do to get him back now that you found him?"

"You are too noticeable Mew, a familiar can slip by but you? Even if you sealed most of your power away you would be noticed. However… there is a being more powerful than that bitch and her sisters from than reality cluster, one that could be talked around into helping Alchemist… just ugh… he is a Harem protagonist! Only saving grace is that he does not wish to be a harem protagonist, in all versions of him that I know off, he hates the whole idea, but he is also an indecisive idiot! Oh and Alchemist is kind stealing one of his girls, that is a tad funny."

"Let me guess, Alchemist has no idea that he is doing that?"

"Yes Mew… so... want to go on a Pokemon adventure or something? I would be the one covering it and who knows? You may learn something useful!"

"Would that help get him back?"

"Maybe, but first you have to fill a personality test."

"What?"

"Take it or leave it, as much as I want to help you, I am not exactly free of responsibilities, I can't be around all day, extra bodies or not."

"Fine."

AN: Yes Arceus is really that powerful that he risks destroying a universe if he uses his real body, as seen in Pokemon Legends Arceus Lore.

I think Ranma would still chase Herb to that mountain to have a rematch and mostly to throw to his face he was able to get cured and it could be interesting if Herb meets Areru abd recignuce the dragon in him

To be fair, most fics entire plot revolves around the curse, much like canon Ranma did.

You remove the curse, and you end a dozen plot threads. You introduce a way to easily remove curses completely, and you end even more.

Fics that tend to keep the same tone the show has generally limit a cure to being part of the finale of the story.

And then there's also the many stories that actively want to explore Ranma's gender identity with the curse too, so obviously, it's not getting cured in them.
Yeah, thats why I like it. Show me that the writer at least wants TRY to do something diffrent.

Minting enough gold coins to convert into a diamond that met the requirements to cast a Wish was
Wish doesn't need any material requirements. It only requires that it be spoken. That means that Alchemist can use Wish to create a 25,000gp diamond and then he can use the diamond for whichever spell he's going to be using Wish to simulate.

A rat that was covered over with a curse.
Is it a rat or just someone that needs a curse removed?

Areru's spell-list from DnD pulls primarily from the Pathfinder variation which has a lot of defined limitations compared to earlier versions but the 25,000 GP diamond is a material component.

Here's the full entry on the base level of the spell-

DESCRIPTION

Wish is the mightiest spell a wizard or sorcerer can cast. By simply speaking aloud, you can alter reality to better suit you. Even wish, however, has its limits. A wish can produce any one of the following effects.

  • Duplicate any sorcerer/wizard spell of 8th level or lower, provided the spell does not belong to one of your opposition schools.
  • Duplicate any non-sorcerer/wizard spell of 7th level or lower, provided the spell does not belong to one of your opposition schools.
  • Duplicate any sorcerer/wizard spell of 7th level or lower, even if it belongs to one of your opposition schools.
  • Duplicate any non-sorcerer/wizard spell of 6th level or lower, even if it belongs to one of your opposition schools.
  • Undo the harmful effects of many other spells, such as geas/quest or insanity.
  • Grant a creature a +1 inherent bonus to an ability score. Two to five wish spells cast in immediate succession can grant a creature a +2 to +5 inherent bonus to an ability score (two wishes for a +2 inherent bonus, three wishes for a +3 inherent bonus, and so on). Inherent bonuses are instantaneous, so they cannot be dispelled. Note: An inherent bonus may not exceed +5 for a single ability score, and inherent bonuses to a particular ability score do not stack, so only the best one applies.
  • Remove injuries and afflictions. A single wish can aid one creature per caster level, and all subjects are cured of the same kind of affliction. For example, you could heal all the damage you and your companions have taken, or remove all poison effects from everyone in the party, but not do both with the same wish.
  • Revive the dead. A wish can bring a dead creature back to life by duplicating a resurrection spell. A wish can revive a dead creature whose body has been destroyed, but the task takes two wishes: one to recreate the body and another to infuse the body with life again. A wish cannot prevent a character who was brought back to life from gaining a permanent negative level.
  • Transport travelers. A wish can lift one creature per caster level from anywhere on any plane and place those creatures anywhere else on any plane regardless of local conditions. An unwilling target gets a Will save to negate the effect, and spell resistance (if any) applies.
  • Undo misfortune. A wish can undo a single recent event. The wish forces a reroll of any roll made within the last round (including your last turn). Reality reshapes itself to accommodate the new result. For example, a wish could undo an opponent's successful save, a foe's successful critical hit (either the attack roll or the critical roll), a friend's failed save, and so on. The re-roll, however, may be as bad as or worse than the original roll. An unwilling target gets a Will save to negate the effect, and Spell Resistance (if any) applies.

You may try to use a wish to produce greater effects than these, but doing so is dangerous. (The wish may pervert your intent into a literal but undesirable fulfillment or only a partial fulfillment, at the GM's discretion.)

Duplicated spells allow saves and Spell Resistance as normal (but save DCs are for 9th-level spells).

When a wish duplicates a spell with a material component that costs more than 10,000 gp, you must provide that component (in addition to the 25,000 gp diamond component for this spell).

Bit unfair that given at bare minimum he has the dark knight stuff the system couldn't properly quantify that he learned from Odin plus he doesn't have gamer's mind so he had to learn a lot of his other stuff the hard way too and even made at least 1 original spell.

Doing the math? Areru was going to need to smelt down two-hundred and fifty-thousand grams of gold. By value that was... what was the current rate for gold?

Three-hundred and sixty U.S. dollars per ounce. Twelve dollars and sixty-nine cents per gram. One-thousand, three-hundred and forty-six yen per gram.
It would be nice if he could just take a diamond and cut it to meet the requirements but... he had no way of knowing if the resulting gemstone would meet the value requirements.
Psh. 250,000g x 12.69$/g = $3,172,500. x2.18 to convert 1993USD to 2025USD, $6,916,050.

The Hope Diamond weighs 9.104g and is worth an estimated $350,000,000. Seventy times as much. But the Hope Diamond is finely cut indeed, very pretty, and has significant historical pedigree. The Peace Diamond, twenty times the size, sold for $6.5 million uncut in 2017.

The largest gem-quality diamond ever found, the Cullinan Diamond, weighed 621.2g and was sold, uncut, for £150,000 in 1907, which is £19 million today. Over $20 million. It was maybe half the volume of my fist.

Areru is going to use True Creation to convert a quarter ton of gold coins into a diamond the size of a pebble. Which will tell him what a 25,000 gp diamond looks like but will mostly feel like a waste of effort. Next time, just Convert a rock or chunk of wood into a flawless diamond, optionally with impurities to produce whatever color he wants. Heck, look up the relevant chemistry and make a rainbow diamond if you feel like it! Then use an adamantine "ignore hardness less than 20" knife (or whatever tool is appropriate) to extract a two kilogram cube. Cheap, effective, quick, and cutting mistakes can be fixed with Transmutation or Repair.

And if any part of that is somehow not overkill? Areru can make a diamond the size of his torso, use Transmutation and Conversion to make artwork inside the boulder-gem, and close the door of the greenhouse and use Black Blade of Disaster to whittle it into something fancy.

It's on another forum, but if you don't mind some lewds in your story there is a crossover of Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon on QQ called Conjunction, written by sinereal, where the curse getting cured is also a thing that happens. Just that it doesn't vanish when cured after being part of you for long enough, but instead becomes a boon: being controllable instead of triggered through water.

The story itself is... eh. You can give it a try, but personally I have to say that I am not a fan of each and every development that happens. In the end it's basically p*rn with plot and also reads like it. Could have been a better story if there was less focus on that, imho.

Y'know, all of those material components only specify 'worth', which doesn't necessarily mean that you have to literally convert it 1:1 unless your DM wants to head off all that market manipulation nonsense. Trade goods, for example, are an option for non-coin wealth equivalents for bartering, or for DMs who do like market rates and playing merchants as a side gig.

Part of it is 'is it a gold coin's value in Pathfinder where the spell came from or is it a gold coin's value in the current location'? Because you can't actually spend gold on Earth as currency. It's not legal tenure anywhere, which makes it worthless, but it can be purchased for some arbitrary value. So what about equivalent value? Well, it'd require a diamond 'worth' 2,500 lbs of chocolate, or 1,667 pounds of saffron (weirdly) or 50 pounds of mithral.

Ooooor there's the fact that you can hire someone to cast magic for you at a price of (caster level X spell level X 10 GP) to a theoretical 'max' of 3,000 GP as an availability cut-off. So! All you have to do is demand in exchange for casting a spell for someone a trinket. Then use conversion on those trinkets to turn them into a diamond and they are, therefor, worth however amount the spellcasting was.

Minting coins is the most direct approach but probably also the most tedious XD
