I like how Areru and Katsuhiko managed to get along talking shop. I was worried there might be more antagonism and misunderstanding but they actually seemed to bond a little.

Alec's pretty good at taking people as individuals. So most of his issues there are simply being in the middle of reintroducing the estranged (not)family.

The though "No, we mostly just swear at them till they decide we're too annoying to share a plane of existence with" bit was hilarious. :D

During the episode, Ryoko miniaturizes and takes Tenchi and Noboyuki's house with her to keep it safe when Ayeka is threatening to blast lasers down on the underevolved planet to try and score a lucky hit on Ryoko.

Right, she does do that. Sounds like she's looking to get Areru'd

What she did is wrong, but understand, Ayeka is a 17 year old girl (700 years spent in suspension) with a space battleship, who's come face to face with the person she believed murdered her brother and betrothed. Her not acting reasonably is a given. For everyone else, Ryoko's attack was 700 years ago. For Ayeka, it just happened. And Ryoko and Ryo-Ohki nearly decimated Jurai, killing who knows how many people. Sasami herself would have died without Tsunami's interference.

She did have enough sense not to actually bombard the planet from orbit. She puts her ship right above Tenchi's neighborhood, and fires a single warning shot nearby. It does shatter the windows on Tenchi's house, but she doesn't actively blow up any buildings or anything.

Considering that these ships can blow up planets in a single shot, she definitely throttled down the juice on the shot.

Besides, she gets her comeuppance almost immediately. Ryu-Oh gets absolutely totaled, (on account of her leaving Jurai before it was fully finished!), and if it weren't for Washu, there was a strong chance of her losing Ryu-Oh completely.

Get Off My Lawn! New
Omake: "Get off my lawn!"

*THOOM*
Areru stopped mid-work. A fluid in a glass beaker in his hand was about to be poured into the bubbling concoction resting on his work table.
*THOOM*
He put the beaker down and considered. This part of the process can wait.
*THOOM* *ROAR*
Areru eyed the trembling fluid in the beaker and sighed.
He made his way to the window and raised the blinds.
There, in the distance highlighted in the night, near where the sea was… a giant… reptile. Up on two legs. Despite the square cube law.
It's back lit up, scrutes backlit with a blue glow, from the tip of its tail, up its curved spine, lighting up hardened spines until the light reached its head and mouth, and it fired a blue beam into the night sky with a roar.
He could spot the lights of aircrafts and spotlights pointing at it.

Areru pursed his lips, a small frown forming.
He looked back at his work table. He would need to get back to it soon.
He eyes the room space, and realized he can't go for a full transformation.
Clearing his throat, his face and head slowly morphed into his draconic form. He hasn't tried partial transformation in this body yet, but it he came to him easily as he adjusted his vocal cords and lungs.
Flashes of explosions and more roars echoed off the mountains as the JSDF began to attack the giant lizard.
With a deep inhale, Areru opened the window, poked his head out, and roared.

The reptile froze, its mutated hindbrain translated the distant roar as something old, something terrible, something greater.
A reminder of its old time as a small reptile, aware of predators around it, aware of being in another's territory, aware that it was not wanted.
The reptile ignored the pricks of pain as it slithered back into the waters.
Perhaps it could try another rock to make it territory. This one is clearly claimed.

Areru coughed as he reverted, rubbing at his throat. He closed the window and pulled the blinds back down.
Turning around, he eyed Reis trembling, curled up in the corner, and went back to his work table.

"Revenge? On Daisuke? What would be the point of doing more to him than he does to himself? Now, time playing with my cute little sister, that's valuable!"

You've got to respect a man who has his priorities straight.

Tone deaf, completely inept and intentionally horrid instrument playing. Attempting death metal?

Henry the Eighth to the 87th chorus.

Or the doomsong itself

*sings*
...This is the Song That Never Ends, yes it goes on and on my friends. Some people started singing it, not knowing what it was. And they'll continue singing it forever just because, This is the Song that Never ends.....

Music/prayer based Exorcist is just doing a long continuous diss track targeted at the ghost to the point the ghost suffers the undead version of a brain aneurysm.

I can't believe I missed this the first time around.

The woman's name is Kobayashi Naru.

Did you do that deliberately or is it a coincidence that she's one letter off a Star Trek reference? (while talking to a space alien even.)

Coincidence probably. Kobayashi Maru roughly means "The ship named Small Forest" whilst Kobayashi Naru ("Small Forest" "To grow") would be "To grow a Small Forest".

Bear in mind I'm not a native or even a fluent Japanese speaker so could be wrong here.
