And Everyone Was Kung Fu Fighting - Kung Fu Cult Dynasty Quest

Oni-Blooded : You've got some Oni in your ancestry. (+6 Martial, -2 Diplomacy, -2 Intrigue)
Inspiring : When it comes down to it, you are just a natural leader. (+2 Martial, +2 Piety, +2 Diplomacy, -2 Learning, -2 Intrigue)
Tactician : You are skilled in the arts of war. (One reroll per combat miniturn)

Think about what the traits you are choosing means about the character, people.
It's easier to make the tradeoff trait choices if we know the base stats rolled though. Buying a stat which imposes say, -2 to diplomacy would be nothing difficult if you had diplomacy 15 for example, but if you had diplomacy at 9 or 21...that changes things.
Mmm, fair enough. But on the other hand, this is people's chance to decide what stat is important to them. Yes, covering up weak points is important, but so is deciding what you want to be strong on.

...And if it helps, you have one eleven, one twelve, two fourteens, and two sixteens rolled, from lowest to highest.

But really, Traits are important because they shape who your character is. While choosing 'my only relevent feature is that I'm lucky' is valid, this is still your chance to shape what kind of person you are playing. I can guarantee you that a Schemer is going to have different options available to him in times of internal strife then an Oni-Blooded or someone with the Trusting Trait, for example.

I guess if we're oni-blooded we get more encounters with the supernatural?

Eh, maybe, but being an Oni, even partially an Oni, does tend to, statistically speaking, result in certain forms of emotional and lifestyle trends, you know? That kind of stuff will have an effect on what you have as potential actions.

[X]Coinhand : They say you must have been born with jade in your fist for how skilled you are at earning money (+2 Stewardship).
[X]Brave : You fear no one and nothing. (+2 Martial).
[X]Tactician : You are skilled in the arts of war. (One reroll per combat miniturn).

Well...with no idea where the highs and lows are...it doesn't.

Could just as likely drop our 16s to 10 for instance, unknowingly

[X] Shadows

Seems like a really fun/funny build. We're an Oni blooded amazon who happily sweet talks people AND then beats the snot out of them, or vice versa really. we can defeat them with friendship or earn their friendship from the defeat.

To me it's a fun kind of socially agressive model(Potentially shounen as shit) with no actual stat minus post traits.

And with 24 hours plus since the start, the trait voting is now called.

Plan Shadows is the winner. I'll be putting up the character sheet soon.

Here's the basic statsheet. I'll be posting up the statsheets of your chosen allies as I get them done, as well as the local area you'll be playing in and who else you're aware of as powers worthy of being payed attention too.

On another note, if anyone reading this actually knows Chinese, suggested names for your allies would be eagerly accepted. Otherwise I'll have to apply Internet Fu to the matter.

What exactly would an Oni-blooded person look like? I'm trying to find a picture that could fit for us, but I'd like to know whether we have horns, or heavily pigmented skin, or look completely normal, or whatever.

The best picture suggestions I can give when I have no idea what we actually look like. Pretty even spread between horned and completely human in this batch.

Incidentally, you have no idea how hard it is to find a picture of a girl with horns without running into problem of getting horny girl as a search result.

Just going to drop this here. Because I was looking at stuffs for my DND character and found this
...um actually. My copy and paste doesn't like this site. So in case anyone's wondering. Was a picture of Hong Meiling/'China' from Touhou being badass.

Like three and Five from the above wall o'pictures.

The first and the third were definitely my favorites. Especially the first, for some reason. Then again, I've always been a sucker for piercings.

Regarding the pictures, I like 2, 3, 5, and 7. Now, what's face? It says on our achievements that our masteries of various styles have earned us varying amounts of face.
