An adventurers life for me: A Warhammer Fantsy 2E quest

[X] Plan Wandering Magician
-[X] Name: Federico Ascali
-[X] Gender: Male
-[X] Age: 29 years old
-[X] Bio: Federico Ascali, youngest son of a huntsman and a tanner was born in the village of Marcinni near the edges of the borders of Remas. Ever since he was able to hold a bow and arrow, Federico showed a great talent for marksmanship and was expected to take up the profession of his father. However, despite his talents, the young boy always felt unnerved and sullen whenever he would be taken into the forests near their home to ply their trade. It was as though some great tragedy had befallen him there, yet had never endured worse than a scratch. As he grew into his teens, the feelings began to worsen, and he started to suffer from ever more frequent and vivid nightmares. This came to a head when he was fifteen, and in the middle of the night ran screaming from the family home, seemingly chased by monsters that no one else could see. The commotion awoke his family and all their neighbors, who began to search for him all around the village, but this would be called off within the hour, for Beastmen were spotted at the edge of the woods, preparing to slaughter the local population. The commotion had come at just the right time, it seemed, and rather than catching the humans of Marcinni sleeping and defenseless, they were awake and often armed with axes and bows. The ensuing skirmish would take the life of Federico's father as well as his eldest brother and sister, though he would never return home for the funerals. Ever since that night, Federico has been wandering across Tilea, as though chasing some distant goal or perhaps desperately fleeing an evil known only to him. He has learned much about his gift over the years, however, and now can call upon his strange foresight intentionally, and for a fee or as thanks to those that offer him sanctuary, he uses this power to warn of future dangers and sadly rarely good news.

If you want an appearance too, I can add one, but I imagine him as a thinly bearded Italian man with long-ish brown hair and green eyes, standing around 5'11"

Edit: I may have put too much into the backstory...

Good enough for me.

I kind of think, that Seer seems to be a cultural-specific profession of Norsca (like Kossar for Kislev or Knight-Errant for Bretonnia), but well... it's already done I guess.

It isn't. The career's flavour text says that Seers can be found all over the Old World, it's just in Norsca and among the Kurgan that they're given any kind of credence or respect in society; elsewhere they preach on street corners of their visions, one eye on the lookout for Witch Hunters or watchmen, or run fortune teller scams.

Notably, Seer is a Career Exit for the Strigany Mystic career, which have less than nothing to do with Norsca.

Interesting.

Though there is one thing that's left out, where he learned Magik also called Lingua Prestigita. This is the language Teclis taught the burgeoning Colleges of Magic in. Best I can guess would be an exiled magister had apprentices in the south and they spread it around.

I wanted to leave some stuff unsaid so the QM could decide to add plot hooks into our MC's background. Who knows what could have happened in his 14 years of wandering?

Notably, a lot of Lingua Praestantia is composed of what is known as Old Reikspiel, amalgamated with portions of Eltharin. And Old Reikspiel is what most priests of the Old World's Cults chant their prayers in. It could simply be that Federico had spent enough time around the village priest to retain knowledge of the words' sounds, and piece the language together as an autodidact.

College-trained Wizards get their licence upon becoming Journeymen from the Colleges, and the Imperial Colleges are reputed enough that people in the rest of the Old World are willing (for the most part), to take that as proof of competence if they're hiring Wizards.

I don't think licenses like that exist outside of the Empire and we're in Tilea, I thought.
Tilea's actual system of magical education is less robust, but it does still want magic users to meet some kind of standards. Wizards who demonstrate to priests and officials that they are not under the influence of the Ruinous Powers and have control over their "gifts" can get official recognition of their status, so that people won't just go "Oh no, it's an evil witch!" and pull out the torches and pitchforks.
