Something more symbolic would be good I think

Question: Are the bull/cow votes part of the what-todo votes or are they independant?

Need to know if I should tactically vote.

Anyway, to explain my decree further, we establish an aspect of Protector and Leader with that. If attacked by other animals, they can wear the tusks and come to our herd, to be protected by the presence of non-hostile, big stompy mammoths. The tusks act as a spirit-enforced ward against mammoths. It establishes early symbolism, which may work into early access to rituals at some point given a few generations to stew.

Simply demanding worship is painfully generic use of a decree, and something they would do anyway, as long as they pray and make offerings to us.

Plus, shaman/priests/chiefs should have a big fancy hat and this is before hats were a thing.

@veekie they are going to hunt the herd though, it is a regular chunk of their diet. Decreeing that they can run to us for safety doesn't actually get us worship if things don't go wrong and send them fleeing to us. Demanding worship is generic but it also solves our immediate problem in a way that I don't think yours does.

Because I don't want to be a load of bull.

Uh, yes? It doesn't bar them from that. They can come in peace if they use the right symbol, or come in war and have to fight the mammoths for prey. It just says that if they wear this they can approach in peace.

Hats have pretty much always been a thing, though we don't have records of them before 3,000 bc, though some archeologists push that back to 26,000 bc.
Ah, then we can focus on making them fancier.

Did I read this as starting with Leadership Six correctly?

Also, does anyone know whether this is being run in collaboration with the other Amber Age quest (so they will share rulesets and whatnot) or if it is its own thing? Similarly, is this a shared world (i.e. will the characters possibly run into each other)?

I just really don't see how that would supply a steady amount of DE. Forcing them to worship us provides a base to work from, but saying they can come in peace if they want is so iffy. What if they don't want to play nice? What if nothing scares them enough to need our help and thus earn us DE? I would have an easier time seeing this as something we can let them do after they are forced to worship us.

It's not connected but there maybe hints of slight crossover but that's all

No story link (but you may see crossover), and there will be some minor differences in how each quest is mechanic'd out (naturally, some mechanics are judgement-based, my changes only really apply to major elements). Things like DE costs and maybe the effectiveness of rolls will occasionally differ.

This being well in the stone age, not really a problem. Storms threaten them. Predators threaten them. Winter threatens them.

Consider simply being able to bed down with a herd of large, naturally armed and armored fluffy heaters/natural windbreaks in winter. Most wild animals don't fuck with mammoths much, too big to take down without losing some of the attackers.

And to get the benefit, they need to pay us homage. That's all.

First we announce our existence. It is easier to make peace from a position if strength. It is also easier for the humans to worship something that has shown actual power.

I like veekie's thing. Changing my vote to that.
