Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 5: Eye Eyes Eyes Eyeing Eye Eyeing Eyes

Technically, that's Creation Physics that oWoD doesn't work on; oWoD is also made of comparable stuff (i.e. Primal Energy, which probably just is Essence).

Earth Bet works superficially on oWoD physics presumably because it's easier for Gromweld to keep track of and gives decent enough results.

That's pretty awesome!

Depends if I find yet more inspiration. So far what I've seen of her armor concepts, I think a lot of people missed the point that Taylor/Enduring Order Administrator is a ranged character. Everyone's spending far too much time in 'oh gods must armor up against Coil'.
Mine is more oriented towards information warfare than being supertough though. But that was on the last page, didn't want to keep spamming it unless I actually have some changes for it.

Ah, Mr. Gladly. Leviathan was too kind. +1 XP!

Omake -- Joyous Day for Glenn
Hey, remember that you already have a month's worth of work dedicated to Glenn's projects! Also, remember that Tinkers can usually turn house-hold objects into absurd creations in a relatively short time, so it's not out of character to have pretty much anything a Tinker makes run through Tech Review. Still amusing, nonetheless. +1 XP!

Earth-Bet runs on oWoD. Exalted damage numbers are generally about the same or slightly inflated compared to their oWoD counterparts.
Actually, V20 rules are slightly different. Here are the new numbers:

Code:
Weapon V20 Exalted
Sap STR+1 2
Knife STR+1 2
Axe STR+3 5
Club STR+2 6
Sword STR+2 3~4
As for ranged weapons...

Code:
Weapon V20 Exalted
Revolver 4 5
H. Revolver 6 6
Pistol 4 5
H. Pistol 5 6
SMG 4 6
H. SMG 4 6
A. Rifle 7 7
H. Rifle 8 8
Shotgun 8 7
C. Shotgun 8 7
Crossbow 5 5
Heavy SMG just has 50 range instead of 20, and Combat Shotgun has a Rate of 3 instead of 1.

It's an amusing snippet, but it reminds me of the actual rather sad state of America's public schools.

Did you know that in most US school districts neither the principal nor the school board has the authority to fire a teacher? Instead local teachers' unions have created labyrinthine procedures that have to be followed, involving endless levels of reviews and notices and hearings that can easily take years to play out. Some school districts have actually gotten to the point where they just pay their worst teachers to do nothing, because that's easier than trying to get rid of them.
Please don't remind me about unions......bad personal experience with unions.

Will that work for Glenn include a collection of 'cape formal-wear' for a gala affair/fundraiser for past and present wards, that the Undersides are hired crash?
I think the Undersiders party crashing is a bust by now. The stakes have been raised too far.

Besides, I recall THAT particular raid was Taylor's idea.

I think Reputation (Beautiful) may actually be more useful for dealing with Piggot.

It would encourage her to continue to underestimate us, but, more importantly, would open up enormous avenues to exert influence through channels the PRT doesn't control.

We could very easily be a public figure, quite literally the poster girl for the Wards. That would probably pull down even more heat on Coil, and make it even harder to find mercenaries to work for him on hits.

A reputation won't get through to her.

The only thing that would get through to her is an act of courage and self-sacrifice that even she can't wave away.

Even then, it will probably take someone confronting her and saying "You hate Parahumans? Look at what one was willing to go through. Has she not earned your respect?"
*sigh*
She do not hate parahumans (there are exceptions). She's just rightfully paranoid of them. To a degree that it gets counterproductive though... thankfully not Saint level. And there is nothing that can get her less paranoid because it's rightful paranoia that get more and more confirmation every day... hell, local head of Protectorate is Armsmaster which by itself is cause for paranoia.

Big sacrifices wouldn't affect her. Now being reliable would.

You know, our and Coil's precog war must be messing up other Thinkers even more. We know that Worm precog can't predict the actions other precogs take in reaction to their precognition, and Coil is continually changing his actions as his precognition changes.

This must then cascade, as all other precogs continually revise their plans.

Not abondoning her or your team when the Chips are down like those sons of bitches that ran from Nilbog might help though.

I'm not sure, if we take a bullet for one of the little people, that might matter, but for another Ward?

Taking bullets should be a big help, but I haven't noticed any change.
It likely has. The Cloaky dagger Bs and minor screwed priorities has probably hurt though like not getting those pics in earlier but we are still good there I mean we didn't get totally reamed like we should of.

She was under ten or something when she got her powers? And that was before Scion popped up, so over thirty years ago. So late thirties at the youngest.

I think we should strongly consider the utility of the two Reputation Backgrounds for next time. They (particularly the 4 dot one) allow us to massively expand the scope of our Precog disruption, making it vastly harder for Coil's shard to model events that we're involved in.

People will pay more attention to what we say and do, and it will influence their decisions more. Particularly interspersed with frequent periods of invisibility, that will really make him struggle. Butterflies will be flapping everywhere.

I do believe buying Reputation as a Ward could be a good investment.
Both could be exceptionally useful.

Given the exponential nature of Backgrounds though, the four dot one is likely to be substantially better than the three dot one, even if it's likely to require more work to manage.

Getting four extra dice on Social rolls will be incredibly useful on its own.
