Lots of the people who've picked Monarchist and DNVP agitators didn't pick pro-NSDAP. Historically DNVP was against the Nazis up until their coalition under Hugenberg. Its also stressed that we hate Hugenberg, who was the magnate that reformed the party in '28 to be more inline with Nazi ideals and lead to the alliance with them the following year.

You might hate Hugenberg, but it's important to note that by 1932, Hugenberg had almost total control over the DNVP. He was like a mini-hitler. Complete with purges of his rivals! Hence the formation of the (short-lived) KVP, which the DNVP character was a member of.

It is important to note, though, that political affiliation isn't set in stone, not completely. A DNVP-sympathetic character isn't going to shift over to the SPD or KPD, but might shift towards the Zentrum, BVP, DstP, DVP or even a revived KVP.

Assuming this quest doesn't go completely off the rails, like CampaignQuest did, of course.

Revived KVP sounds interesting, although getting Hugenberg out in a kind of alternate Putsch could work. Or revolution.

A monarchal system with constitutional oversight and parliamentary elections is the both the stablest form of government and the best in terms of pageantry and traditions.

If the DVNP is the vehicle we use to get there then so be it. Although if I remember correctly they have the dubious honour of not being banned by the NSDAP but rather voluntarily disbanding themselves...

You seem to have a lot of quests on at the moment @The Karvoka Man which takes priority?
 
CampaignQuest takes priority, though it is largely whatever I find easiest to write. Path of least resistance, and all that.

About how I see it. Everyone wants the Kaiser back (though I'd prefer we skip over Wilhelm II, and let his son take the throne).

It would be much more popular among the populace that have a sour taste in their mouth to skip over Wilhelm II and possible even the Kronprinz himself due to his failure at Verdun. We could use Louis Ferdinand...or a Habsburg for shits and kicks.

Skipping Wilhelm II shouldn't be too hard to justify considering his prior abdication and advanced age. Wilhelm III would be trickier, since he was active in right-wing German politics and will almost certainly try to attach himself to any semi-successful monarchist movement. Though at least we would have Wilhelm II's support for skipping over his son in favor of his grandson.
