What I'm curious about is if, being a Demi-Fiend, will Taylor be able to instinctively tell when something is a Demon vs a normal Parahuman? Because if she can that makes things a loooooot easier on when knowing if lethal force is OK.
Glad to see Dennis' thoughts a bit, he's probably my favorite Ward. Not because he's the comic relief, but because like Assault he has depth. He uses humor purposefully to try to keep peoples' spirits up, including his own. He knows personally how unfair life can be, but has decided to try and stay positive despite that while bringing others up with him.

Isn't that... basically all fanon? As far as I know all we really learn about him in canon is that he makes jokes, his dad has cancer, and he is completely and utterly terrified of Skitter.
...I suppose that last aspect might show that he's the smartest Ward in canon? Possibly even genre-savvy...
Pretty much, but it seems reasonable based on what little we do know. Fanon, but a reasonable extrapolation imo.
We also know that he's pretty competent later on, like during the Echidna incident he figured out Taylor's plan with the silk to cut Noelle in half using herself as bait, then used that as inspiration to have a gauntlet that shoots out so he can wrap people up from range. Also the fact that during the Leviathan fight he was willing to risk himself to freeze it, despite being a squishy striker.

Nobody does superbosses as cruelly as Atlus. NOBODY.
Especially in SMT 4. Oh my god a 1 in 256 chance to even get the thing to spawn on entering the room, and then it roflstomps your face in five seconds when you're at max level with the best gear in new game +.

Learn to use buffs, or your gonna get fucked, as I always say.
Honestly, though, Demi-fiend himself also counts as being one of the most difficult superbosses (You can fight him in Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga and believe you me, you will regret picking a fight with him). A fight between those two, while interesting, would force Taylor to put everything she's learned to the test...or die trying.
Actually, I have a more important question to ask, and I believe you are the man to answer it.

On another note, points for the Ghostbusters reference.
Sadly, Dante will not be making any appearances in any capacity in this fanfic, though he will be mentioned alongside Raidou Kuzunoha in certain segments, such as the Interlude.
Also, Taylor will be facing the Fiends eventually, but it will not be until after the events that occur in May transpire. We are still in February at the moment.
