Keep all the spare parts this turn; my idea is we scrap the ship next budget cycle to make sure we get most of the benefits of the tech transfer while also getting to use her in the intended role while we get enough funding to buy more ships. Diplomatic Service seems to be the most important thing we can do with her, given the fact that we have a hostile power thats much more powerful than us very close, and its not the people we just finished a war with. Flag Fashion needs to be started sooner rather than later to provide advisory groups, Info Index is time-sensitive to set up. Supreme Marble is also time-sensitive and so Bad Cook, and both needs to be done. Chivalrous Prose restarts the anti-fascist ops so its a no-brainer, although we need to start considering turning our attention on Ros. Re-org Commands and Future Threat Brief is just us doing our jobs. I am somewhat doubtful that Rest will actually be all that restful, but having Ricky touch grass is probably good for him either way.

[]Operation Carbon Child: Any foreign agents cannot be trusted with deep infiltration operations as aliens cannot be adequately prepared for sensitive operations in the next decade. To that extent, research into the adoption of genetic packages to match the appearances of important members for direct replacement can be put underway. Differences in mass and precise genetic makeup will be challenging to fix but a partial coat of genetic feeder cells can prove useful for avoiding excessive issues from the analysis of detritus. Infiltration operations will demand much of operatives and they will need to adapt to adequately replace important personnel in life, attitude, and manner.
Fucking what. Who the hell did Ricky hire to this department, this is some Bluebook-tier intelligence plotting.

Despite how funny it would be, actually talking to Ros would probably just signal to her that she is a person of interest to us (in the way she actually is, as a political threat)
Good, we can send her into a paranoid death spiral by just being friends with her and not doing anything.

Now, when's Ricky getting his 6th-gen shots?

They have spent much of the leadup to the campaign advocating in no uncertain terms to scrap any semblance of a treaty and to prepare to fight the war again, seizing the system and punishing the traitors.
Stop. You're saying that the PSC wants to throw out the treaty that gave us a victory in all but name - when we were expecting the third wave to come in a few months and massively boost the CLP's armored punch. When we were partially demobilizing because the economy couldn't take the full war footing anymore. When - as it turns out - we've been fighting the bottom rung of what hostile interstellar forces look like. When now, we have the opportunity to modernize as fast as we can, to ensure the next fight won't be so one-sided against us.

What the hell are they on?!

Never, he is in too important a position to go through those kinds of gene treatment apparently.

Its a very popular position, they are the second largest party, and could have been the largest if not for Rós and the BFP proving quite competent. Like, do you think we told people that there was a massive third wave incoming admist war censorship? And remember, we defeated their main armored blow and managed a successful offensive in Ban Sidhe on the turn the war ended. Its very easy to see how a stab in the back view would arise in such conditions. "We capitulated to the imperialists and are letting take the fruits of their labor when we were right about to put them on the backfoot!"

Also, the briefing option very much implies the population is not at all aware of the dire position we are in. If senior members of the BFP and Rós haven't been briefed on it, then its not common knowledge we are right next to a revanchist power vying for our blood.

I appears we are all coalescing into the same intelligence and political plans lmao. I'm in favor of Military Service for the SAS Itzcuih though, since with us being on the galactic map now instead of isolated in the dead zone I don't think it's a smart move to repeat our previous strategy of "No military development for multiple plans then rapidly try to develop everything at once before something happens." Now we actually have an idea of what we'll be facing instead of blindly theorizing what we need to design counters for, digesting lots of alien techs that will let us make capable if older equipment instead of relying on sheer mass, and have the nearest alien state being extremely militarized and declaring an absolute claim over the space we're located in.

I'd like to open the supercondutor infinite XCU tap once the next budget period rolls around to go ham on the foreign purchases in order to bulk up our military with whatever we won't be able to match domestially yet due to lack of experience, which means training our people this plan.

[]Diplomatic Service: The civilian government's diplomatic service makes a good argument for allocating the SAS Itzcuih to their primary use. Secondary military and intelligence operations are still expected with more of the latter, but the diplomatic service expects to get the most possible out of the ship. Placing ambassadors and independent diplomats over points in the cluster can start the establishment of bilateral relations and ensure that diplomats do not have to charter passenger rooms in foreign craft.
Anyway uh, we probably should do this. We are in a incredibly shitty position, and need to suck up to the friendliest superpower around as much as we can for assurances. Also, the Xolotlan Sovereignty is a market of 1 trillion people, they will likely be the biggest consumers of our exports and their massive market is going to have the widest variety of goods available for our purchase, and they are quite far away, our long ranged, incredibly fast courier will be essential to making inroads to them.

Economic crash unfortunate but not surprising, that's why we agreed to basically put the army in stasis for 5 years and take the lowest budget allocation then also spend all our budget on a giant parallel infrastructure/jobs program in a very martial looking hat. The WP held on, and the PDL getting outflanked by not only the BFP but the PPP as well is super embarrassing, hopefully that will teach them some humility. Greens got a real ecology ministry, good for them and honestly surprised it took them this long when they were previously the senior partner in a larger government. PSC locked out of power pretty securely I think.

Ros is back to being the star of the show, and her economic plan honestly sounds fine. Allied with the Greens and Blacks in a patriotic developmentalist coalition, the jobs program was a winning message so it should be here to stay. Heavy state investments into infrastructure + industry + education are planned alongside broadening the jobs guarantee. I'm gonna say no need to Enforce Democracy here, we can let this ride for 5 years even if "conservative-led government" might sound kneejerk scary. Dannan's conservatives of 46 AE are very different from the libertarian market zealots of 1 AE.

Reverse Engineering Studies
Hell of a ship, being able to sustain a quarter of a g for months on end is very impressive. Only achievable by having the ship be 90% fuel + drives with a server rack bolted to the front, but still very useful for our purposes. The big pile of spare parts and technical manuals is good too, but I don't think pulling stuff apart for tech loot is a good idea right now. Even the used car dealership made a point to warn us that this was an unreliable one before letting us buy it, I expect to need quite a few of those spare parts to maintain her over the next 5-10 years before we can buy/build additional FTL craft. Tech rolls aren't worth accidentally leaving ourselves without any FTL ships when the drive ring breaks next year.

As for what to do with her I think that diplomatic shuttle is where we can get the most bang for our buck. We've got a really sharp diplomatic corps with centuries of experience, we just need to be able to actually apply them, and while we have one (1) single FTL ship it's probably best used to act like a real country. Respectable diplomats don't arrive at the space bus stop smelling like poor people. International recognition and diversified trading partners have to be top priorities to find a footing in this new political landscape that isn't just becoming a Xolotlan Sovereignty colony. The spies can get away with taking the space bus sometimes, and the military was just set to the lowest training budget available. Definitely give her to the diplomats.

Lol immediately making bank by partnering with AlphaForce Omega Costal Fold Supplements to rip off the audience we got hooked on AI generated InfoWars. Why even bother investing in material assets with use value like rare earths and engineering plastics? We get a way better ROI on crypto and supplement scams. Should look into diversifying our income stream with some financial crimes next Five Year Plan as well, I bet those are pretty lucrative in XS space.

Infrastructure and industrial investments going well, once things get back into civilian mode we should rapidly pull out of the post-war recession off the backs of the exploding technical industries. Good tech pulls as well. Bringing the fusion tech from warship drives to something tame enough to use as a civilian power reactor is nice, those should pretty much cover us even with the huge economic boom if we're building multi-hundred-gigawatt cores as a regular occurrence. Optical computing advancing another step as we release the tech for civilian consumption is nice too, should synergize well with the military electronics plants.

We have enough budget to develop first Gen power armor, we might as well do that to keep design teams in operation and start producing better equipment for our forces

Definitely tempting; we can start running the infamous Seelie Prince Email Scam, but we do need to be careful, because if we manage to rip off enough Salamander crypto bros hard enough, they could literally fund out of pocket a raiding fleet credibly capable of just burning the planet to the fucking ground.

The CLP invasion was beatable in large part because they actually had a goal in mind apart from punishing the shit out of us, which required them to get up close and personal with our demented nuke ape selves rather than zorching us from 10,000 kilometers away with a proton cannon like civilized people.

Any reason not to do the Investigator museum? It's only a small bump to political support, but I like the idea of putting on a show and giving people something cool to talk about, instead of just the post war rationing and the nuclear winter.

Mostly because the reorganizations are time sensitive (need to be done this turn) and briefing is probably not worth delaying. If we took the Investigator, that'd mean we wouldn't be able to rest, which is probably important considering the stress our character just went through (he was having seizures from not taking his sleep medication to power through the days during the war).

And of those, the Body Armor and Metallic Hydrogen whiffed but everything else made it over the Applicability bar. Including one with a NAT 100 on Applicability.

While we start training on the new ship to prep for next plan, have Dept. 4 actually start learning how alien states think instead of projecting our brainworms on them while keeping an eye on all the sallies we're bringing over.

Dept. 6 can keep an eye on smuggling, the PSC, and the sallie nerds the PSC are probably going to try to string up. Ricky can take advantage of the downsizing, brief the gov on the greater situation, and maybe figure out if he likes zen gardens or something.
