I'd argue that choosing to fight for Future or Humanity doesn't preclude returning the troops. After all, that is, in the end, the best choice here, whether or not we're fighting for Osea or Humanity. The Belkan Front is an extension of this war against the Aliens, after all.

[X] Future
Long Caster orders the forces under his command with a goal: to create a better future. The Lighthouse War witnessed sworn enemies fighting together, arm in arm. If six months can do this to such bitter enemies…is there a fundamental difference between humans and the aliens who exhibit such humanity?

We will tear down all boundaries, not just among nations, but between species.

[X] Humanity
Six months of the Erusean Civil War and staring down the end of the world has expanded Long Caster's responsibilities. To be a soldier in this new war is to take up arms for the sake of humanity, and Long Caster will not disappoint.

Fits AC, fits our current situation, and doesn't come out of left field with a rushed "but what if aliens not bad?". Will cause problems if we ever get to the point of something similar to Chimera Squad but that's a long ways off anyway.

Dagnab it, do these people not understand the meaning of 'Mission critical objective'? We cannot afford to lose the Lighthouse, and with XCOM ERUSIA already stretched thin to cover the other branches, and the continent undergoing a bloody civil war, we cannot spare those pilots without fatally compromising our ability to hold it. We've already given as much support without risking the loss of the Lighthouse, and rendering any attempt at a counterattack immeasurably harder.
As for the third option, it seems a little early for that. We have evidence that the guys at the top are scum, but we don't really have enough insight for it to be a valid option yet.
